I don't know much about the eastern front during World War II. I was eager to read this after it arrived through Goodreads. I started it once and put it down for a while. I couldn't seem to grab my attention so I left it. I read a couple of other titles in my ever increasing list. The story line seemed disjointed. Transitioning between chapters was at times difficult. I learned a lot about a time and place I had no knowledge, but for me it just didn't flow very well.
