Before I begin my review, I do want to say please check your trigger warnings. This book had a lot of abuse in it, and some of it was hard to read.

With that said, I loved so much about this book. Let’s start with the sibling love between Tate and Grace. Tate always protected Grace even when it cost him so very much. But he left for college, which left Grace open to her father and his rage. For years, she held onto a brutal secret which changed her so very much. And Tate held onto the guilt that he left her, not knowing what really happened. Tate and Grace work at the same bank and Tate continues to be very protective of her. And Grace, well, she is just very withdrawn and hesitant about everything.

An in comes Boone. He owns his family’s apple Orchard business. He is patient, he is kind, he is loving, he is understanding not to mention very, very handsome. He first saw Grace at a wedding and was gonna go up to her, but she left before he could. And then he sees her at the bank. Tate introduces them, but then Tate later says she can’t handle anything. You need to stay away from her. Does Boone stay away? Absolutely not. But does he go in full force? Absolutely not. Seriously he’s the most patient man ever.

And when they finally find love with each other, so many things change for Grace. But there is still a threat in this one is not her father.

This is a wonderful book. Just again, check your trigger warnings.
