Michael E. Madden, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a board-certified surgeon who served for over fifteen years as both the Clinical Director of the New York Hospital Cornell Burn Center and the Director of Trauma at the Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. He has presented the results of his research on wound healing and skin substitutes at national and international meetings, and has contributed many articles to peer review journals and surgical textbooks on the care of injured patients. In 1994, he was recipient of the Fire Commissioner's Humanitarian Award, and, was named an honorary Police Surgeon by the New York Police Department. Dr. Madden and his wife live in New York.
