Bliss Garden Girls #2

Broken Promises

Rate this book
From USA Today Bestselling author Danielle Baker, book 2 in the Bliss Garden Girls series.

Hi. I'm Sienna Miller, second oldest of four sisters... and I just ran away from my own wedding on a game of Truth or Dare.

Nash Brighton was my end game, once upon a time. Ten years ago, his life changed forever, altering our future irreparably.

He gave up on us, so I did, too.
We both broke promises that we once thought were unbreakable.

But when he shows up minutes before I'm supposed to walk down the aisle to another man, with a whispered game of Truth or Dare, I know I can't go through with it. Because he's right, as always. None of this is what I wanted: the dress, the flowers, the venue. And he knows it. He's always known me better than I know myself.

Did I just run away from my own wedding with the one man I swore I'd never let close enough to hurt me again...? Yep.

Honestly, probably not my greatest moment.
But... Nash dared me to run... So, I did.
And I'm not looking back.

What's one more promise broken, after all?

Yall… I absolutely DEVOURED this book!

Sienna is about to get married to a man she knows she’s not in love with…. In comes Nash after 10 years like a dark knight in his sexy black suit and getaway Harley. “Run and never look back. This isn’t what you want, and you know it. I know it scares you… but I fucking dare you, baby. Run.” And she does!! 😍

Now while Nash gave her the out she needed to do what she knew she needed to…. He’s not out of the woods just yet. He broke her heart, but for Nash it was always Sienna. Now she tries to put up walls… but not so deep down, Sienna knows her and Nash are endgame. Their story is heartbreaking, beautiful, and so fun! I freaking LOVE them!!

From the tension, the chemistry, their history… all simply amazing!! I loved all the ways Nash was constantly showing up and proving himself. And don’t even get me started on that man’s mouth! The spice was delicious 👌🏻🥵

Grandma Jude is the BEST! I love a wild card meddling grandma and she is fabulous! I also loved the family dynamic of the sisters, mom, and grandma. I can’t wait to get more of them and see what’s in store for Darci and Tessa!!

Thank you so much Danielle for letting me be a part of the ARC them for this one 💛

This book had a great premise. Some high points: I loved the sisterhood that these girls have with each other. It felt genuine and warm. I really liked how the “leaving the altar” moment happened. It was respectful and honest, and so much easier to buy into. I enjoyed the cast of characters (except one) and this should have been a slam dunk.
Here’s why it wasn’t. If I am to believe that this MMC is the self-made man that he has become after being incarcerated, how am I also supposed to believe he so easily buckles to every manipulation of his brother. I know the author was trying to build the struggle of a family with an addict, but this was next level. Perhaps if there were just a few instances throughout the entire book of this manipulation occurring, I could have moved past it. But it was an ongoing recurrence and I started to lose respect for the MMC with each consecutive one. I really struggled with that.
The relationship between the MCs was enjoyable, and many folks may not be driven crazy by the brother relationship. If that is you, read this one. It has a number of great things going for it.

Sienna and Nash were teenage sweethearts and had their future all planned out, but when he gets sentenced to 15 years in prison that all blows up. Sienna show up for him and comes to all the visits, until one day Nash refuses to see her. How my heart broke for her then, to be turned down by the love of your life without any explanation 😭

She tries to move on, but then Nash shows up on her WEDDING DAY 🫢 and it’s the first time they see each other in 10 years. The feelings are still there, and Sienna realises that she can’t go through with the wedding, so they escape on his motorcycle 🏍️😍

It’s such a beautiful second chance romance. And while Nash might look tough on the exterior he has a heart of gold, he’s only ever wanted Sienna and wants what’s best for her. 🥰

I loved grandma Jude in the first book, and she’s definitely the best side character in this book too! I would totally read her book. I mean what happened at that singles cruise she went on? 🚢😉

Thank you Danielle for the arc❣️

Broken Promises is book 2 in the Bliss Garden Girls series and it was such a fun read!

This was such a great second chance romance! The chemistry and tension is undeniable but Sienna is determined to keep Nash at arms length. This book had the perfect combination of emotion and humor. And the family dynamics were amazing. I loved Sienna and Nash and can’t wait for book 3!

ARC REVIEW 5/5 🌻
I’ve been waiting and WAITING for this book, and honestly… it was worth the wait. 🥹❤️

Nash and Sienna had their whole lives ahead of them when Nash ends up in prison and cuts off all contact with her. He does it because he wants her to be able to live her life without waiting for him.

Years later, when he’s finally released, he keeps his distance because he believes she’s happy without him.

Well… turns out, she’s not. 👀

And then he shows up on her WEDDING DAY and dares her to run away with him. 🫠

This book made me cry, laugh, and have ALL the butterflies. 🦋 Nash fights so hard to win Sienna back, and the way he has never stopped loving her… my heart. He spent years in prison thinking about her, and even after getting out, she’s still the one person he can’t let go of.

And Sienna… she’s spent years pushing those feelings down, but you just KNOW these two have always been endgame. They belong together. ❤️

Nash was everything. The yearning. The devotion. The second chance. The “I never stopped loving you” energy. I was DONE for. 😭

Oh, this series… 🥹 The first book was incredible, and this one was just as good. And now there are TWO more books coming!

Thank you Danielle for this ARC and beautiful story ! 💕🌻

I love a good meddling grandma. I love a runaway bride/second chance even more. Sienna deserved to run away from not only her wedding, but to run away from something that didn’t feel like true love and one heinous (almost) mother in-law. What better way than to run away on the back of an ex’s Harley? HOT. She discovered herself and got her spark back from none other than her ex, Nash. The chipmunk interactions had me cackling and swooning. I’m proud of Nash for standing his ground FINALLY with Vinny.

Danielle did a great job with this story! I felt like I was there with the characters and felt all of the emotions. Hearing about the tragic reasoning behind their first split had me tearing up a little.

The only thing is I would’ve liked to see a Nash epilogue including his current relationship with Vinny (if he even has one) and his thoughts during the HEA.

I literally devoured this book in 7 hours. Thank you Danielle for allowing me to read early!

Thanks to Danielle Baker for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Danielle Baker knows how to write a man that I fall in love with. Despite a very rocky time between Sienna and Nash, seeing their journey and both of their growth was so fun. I typically struggle with second-chance romance as a genre but Baker really managed to make it fun and emotional, which I am impressed by.

They definitely did not have an easy start and I was wondering how Baker was going to manage to make me fall so deeply for both of them - but I sure did. Like all of this series so far, I already can't wait to see what the next one will be like!

This is book two in the Bliss Garden Girls series and it can be read as a standalone.

Nash and Sienna have history and their second chance doesn't come without bumps. I really enjoyed them together. They had to overcome some past issues and better communication would have helped, but I still was happy they got their HEA.

This was a fun and enjoyable small town romance with great side characters. I love Sienna's sisters, mom and grandma. Book one is the series is one of her sister's and book 3 and 4 will be the other two. I also loved Nash and Travis's friendship. (Travis also has a book)

I thought this was well written and I am excited for the next book in the series.

First of all, a huge thank you to Danielle Baker for sending me an ARC of Broken Promises. Being part of the Baker Babes Street Team already makes supporting Danielle and her books incredibly special to me, but seeing the Baker Babes mentioned in the acknowledgments at the end of the book? Yep, that made my heart ridiculously happy. 🥹🌻 There is something so special about being part of an author’s team, getting to support her stories from the beginning, and then finding that little thank-you waiting for you at the end.

Broken Promises is the second book in the Bliss Garden Girls series, and this series is quickly becoming one of those comforting little worlds that simply warm your heart. I loved the first book, and coming back to Bliss Garden felt almost like returning somewhere familiar, where you already know the people, the family, the atmosphere, and somehow they’ve all become a tiny bit yours too. And yes, Grandma Jude is still an absolute treasure and I still need to know exactly what happened on that singles cruise. 😂

And then Danielle gave me one of my absolute favorite tropes: SECOND CHANCE. ❤️ Add teenage sweethearts, ten years apart, years of unresolved feelings, a runaway bride, a Harley, a man who never really stopped loving his girl, and honestly… you had me.

Sienna and Nash were supposed to have a future together. They had loved each other since they were teenagers and believed they knew exactly where their lives were heading, until one terrible accident changed everything and Nash ended up in prison. What happened between them afterward is heartbreaking, because their separation wasn’t caused by something small or easily fixed. There was pain, sacrifice, guilt, and years of believing that letting go was somehow the right thing to do, even when neither of them had ever truly let go.

And then, ten years after they last saw each other, Nash walks into the church ON SIENNA’S WEDDING DAY.

The whole runaway-bride moment was probably one of my favorite parts of the book because it has all those wonderfully dramatic romance vibes I live for. Nash dares Sienna to choose herself, and suddenly our bride is escaping her own wedding on the back of his Harley with the man she once thought she would spend the rest of her life with. Runaway Bride, but make it small-town second-chance romance, give the guy a motorcycle, and throw ten years of unresolved love into the mix. YES. PLEASE.

But underneath that fun, almost cinematic setup, there is actually a lot of heartbreak in Nash and Sienna’s story. Nash may have spent years convincing himself that staying away was the best thing he could do for her, but that doesn’t mean those decisions didn’t hurt them both. And I loved that their second chance wasn’t simply about picking up where they left off. Too much had happened for that. They had to rediscover each other as adults, deal with everything that had been left unsaid, and figure out whether the love they had carried for all those years could finally become something they were allowed to keep.

And Nash… that man. He might look tough on the outside, and his past certainly isn’t an easy one, but when it comes to Sienna, his devotion is impossible not to feel. The yearning, the guilt, the protectiveness, the fact that after everything she was STILL his person… that is exactly the kind of second-chance energy that gets me every single time.

“I never wanted someone better. All I wanted was you.”

I also loved the found-family element and, once again, the whole Bliss Garden atmosphere. That is probably what makes this series so easy to fall into: beyond the romance, there is so much warmth surrounding these characters. It feels comforting and familiar, and after two books I already feel invested not only in each couple, but in this entire group of people.

Danielle’s writing has that warmth too, which is one of the reasons I love supporting her and being part of her team. Broken Promises gave me heartbreak, butterflies, laughter, tenderness, a man who never stopped loving his girl, and a second chance that had been waiting ten years to happen.

And now? Obviously I want the next Bliss Garden Girl. Immediately. 🌻

Happy Release Day, Danielle! Thank you so much for trusting me with an early copy and for letting me be a tiny part of this beautiful series as one of your Baker Babes. It means more than you know.

First and foremost i would like to thank Author Danielle Baker for giving the ARC Copy of the book in return for an honest review. I'm truly grateful

When you get accepted for an ARC from one of your favourite authors, flexing it is basically mandatory, and I would've been insane not to. 😭 Honor was my first Danielle book, and out of the three I've read from her, this one is my absolute favourite. She just gets vulnerability and chemistry, and she weaves in body positivity and spice in a way that makes me go "yep, this woman writes MY kind of books."

I got the ARC email a few days before my birthday, so it felt like a pre-birthday gift. 🥹 And I DEVOURED it. I was trying so hard not to finish it in a day so I could savour it, but it was too good and I physically couldn't put it down.

It's a second-chance romance AND an "it's always been you" trope in the same book. SOLD. Sienna and Nash dated, broke up because of some really unfortunate stuff, and ten years later the universe brings them back together in the weirdest way possible. A truth or dare game, a runaway bride, an ex who is STILL down bad for her, and a motorbike?? If that's not romantic I don't know what is. 😭

Nash. Where do I find a man like Nash?? First I need to hug him though, because it broke my heart to see what he went through and how much he carried. This man spent TEN YEARS pining over one runaway, never looked at another woman the way he looked at Sienna, and remembered every little thing about her like it was his default setting. His real job was apparently "finding reasons to see Sienna." Okay sir, WE GET IT. 😭 And the pet name he calls her had me blushing every single time.

Sienna is funny, resilient and so lovable, and she felt like a different person until Nash came back. She was scared and angry and guarded (fair), but deep down she knew nobody would ever compare to him. Both of them were STILL in love after all that time. One just showed it and the other hid it behind fear and anger, and I understood both sides.

I also loved that it wasn't only about the romance. Family isn't always blood, and sometimes the people who choose you and stay become your family. And you can love someone deeply and still stay away to protect your own peace, which felt so real.

My only wish: FLASHBACKS. Please!! I wanted little snippets of how they fell in love and how they were before everything fell apart. Even a few would've made the second chance hit so much harder.

Still, the yearning, the humor, the spice, the family dynamics, and that "it has always been you" feeling made this one so special. I laughed, I swooned, I got emotional, I screamed internally, and I completely fell for these two. I will DEFINITELY be rereading after release because one read is simply not enough. 🤍

Thank you so much to Danielle and the ARC team for letting me read this early, I'm so grateful!

If you love childhood sweethearts, small town romances, second chances and an MMC who has never stopped loving his girl, then this one needs to be on your TBR!

Sienna Miller and Nash Brighton were each other’s first love. They grew up together, fell in love, and believed they would spend forever side by side - until tragedy tore them apart. Ten years later, Sienna is about to marry someone else. But when her wedding day arrives, the last person she ever expected to see walks back into her life.. Nash

There’s just something about Danielle’s small town romances that I love, and after meeting Sienna and Nash in the previous book, I’ve been looking forward to their story ever since. I love the sisterhood aspect throughout this series and seeing how the relationships between the characters continue to grow with each book. And of course, there’s Grandma Jude — she really is an icon and I absolutely adore her!🥰

This book had a bit of everything. I laughed, I cried, and I really liked how Danielle tackled the heavier themes of grief and addiction. I thought these parts added more depth to the story and made the characters feel more real, especially seeing how differently they each dealt with what they were going through.
Sienna and Nash were just so sweet together. I loved their chemistry and how well they know each other, especially the way they can push each other’s buttons. The truth or dare aspect was so much fun too and gave us some really great moments between them.
And Nash on his motorbike… yes please!😍
I also really enjoyed seeing all the Miller family together. There were lots of lovely, feel good scenes, and I loved the support and closeness between everyone💕

I didn't always connect with the way some of the characters handled certain situations, and there were a few moments when I found their choices a little frustrating. But I was still invested in their story, so it didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment.

Overall, this was such a sweet and heartfelt second chance romance about forgiveness, healing and finding your way back to a love that never really disappeared.
If you love small-town romance, second chances and plenty of heart, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a read!

ARC REVIEW

"Broken Promises"
(Bliss Garden Girls # 2)
by Danielle Baker

Reading this book was like seeing the sun after a storm: first the hesitant rays, then the clouds moving away, until finally a sun so bright that all you can do is smile and just enjoy it very much.

The boy has loved the girl since they were teenagers. Meant to always be together. Until one day, a terrible car accident happens and he ends up in prison. He serves 7 years, and after that, he returns to his small town. But they never cross paths.
Ten years after the last time they saw each other, he goes to the church where she’s getting married and, in a game of truth or dare, dares her to choose herself.
She then chooses to run away with him on the back of his Harley, just like a fairy tale should be.

Now Sienna is a beautiful woman and Nash is a man with a difficult past but obsessed with her from the very beginning, they are destined for a 'and they lived happily ever after' full of color, beauty, feelings, and love.

A big shoutout to the second chance and the found family (her family) tropes, so well written.

Releasing October 6

Thank you to the author for this ARC.

I was singing Ashe's Stop the Wedding during the beginning of this book. This is by far, my most favorite Danielle Baker book ever and I dont doubt the next books in the series will only get better. For now, nothing tops this one.

We meet Sienna, one of the Bliss Garden siblings, a wedding photographer who is slated to be married to her fiance of 2 years. We start off with her POV where we see her waver with the wedding/marriage. With a horrible future mother in law and a wedding that is so not her, Sienna is left to wonder if this is what's right for her. With her Grandma Jude's intervention, we see what pushes her to "stop" the wedding and this is where Nash, her ex fiance and great true love steps in. He's been incarcerated for 7 years and has been out on early parole. This reunion is amazing. I can feel the longing and tension between the pages. It was such a sweet moment and I loved it so much! Of course, Nash convinces Sienna to think over what she really wants and she decides to runaway with him. This doesnt magically fix their issues though. There are so many years of hurt and secrets between them that needed to be uncovered and discussed. But true love always wins. Their love story is so beautiful. We are taken on this journey of healing for both of them. The amount of times I swooned with all the little and big ways Nash shows up for Sienna. The ex drama coupled with Nash's family issues kept the story going. I flew through this one. I cannot put it down, it was that good.

As always, the side characters were amazing. Loved Travis and Roxy. I loved seeing Lou and Zach again. I enjoyed Grandma Jude and Sienna's mom and other sisters. The spice was top notch and was really hot. Such a great balance again of sweet and spicy moments.

I have no critique. I love everything about this book. It was the perfect love story for me.

Thank you to Danielle and Jamie for the eARC. I cannot wait to read the next books!

I love books written by Danielle! There is always a little suspense, a lot of spice and the sweetest moments that will bring teats to your eyes. I adore that you get to see all your favorite characters again. Even a grumpy matched firefighter who is still madly in love makes an appearance.
This one is a little more somber (read your triggers), starting with the reason Nash and Sienna were pulled apart in the first place. Boy is this heartbreaking, and Nash continues to punish himself so thoroughly he doesn't believe he gets to be happy. Sienna has watered herself down to be less for her new man, accepting that things are good but never what she had. A little well-timed information from a meddling grandma sets this couple's path back on course. Stop the wedding moment. Oh my god, I was sat. A past lover came in saying if you love him, I'll leave, but I'm here to rescue you. A runaway bride on the back of her ex's motorcycle. I mean if that doesn't convince you to read this book, I don't know what will. Oh, and there is the spice. Running it's always been your spice. There is something about Danielle's filthy-mouthed, whimpering MMC that really will do it for you. You get a sweet little slow burn and then it's a full-on conflagration. I seriously couldn't put this book down and finished it in one sitting. A sweet standalone spice romance is really all you need in life. Be ready, though this couple has to go through a few bumps before they get their happy ever after, but it's worth every second. I cannot get enough of the bliss garden girls, their meddling grandma and these hot-as-sin men!

There is one thing Danielle Baker absolutely knows how to do: take us on a ride through her books. And this one? Whew.

Broken Promises is Sienna’s story, and let me tell you, I was HERE for it.

Ten years ago, Sienna was in a relationship with Nash, and he was kind of everything to her. Unfortunately, some pretty awful circumstances happened, and Nash ended up in prison.

Fast-forward ten years, and Sienna has obviously moved on. She’s in a relationship with someone who is incredibly kind, but he doesn’t love her the way she deserves to be loved.

And Nash? Well, Nash knows Sienna better than anyone.

So what does he do?

He kidnaps her on her wedding day.

Willingly.

And that is where this absolutely badass story begins.

If you read Once Upon a Kiss, you already know there are four sisters, and those sisters love Nash just as much as they love Sienna. They ALL knew Sienna didn’t want to marry this other man. But the person who really knew? Grandma Jude.

And those little spoilers we’ve been given? We already know Nash and Sienna have always played truth or dare. So when Nash tells Sienna to leave her wedding with him…she does.

Now, there is A LOT that happens after that.

And I’m going to be honest: you are not going to love Nash the entire time. Sometimes he doesn’t prioritize himself, and Sienna absolutely does not appreciate that.

Because Sienna’s number-one priority?

Nash.

And honestly, this book landed so hard for me because I LOVE a second-chance romance. I also went into this expecting Nash to be some giant bad boy, and that’s not really who he is.

He is very much the President of the Sienna Club.

I think one of the biggest reasons I loved this story so much was because Nash never lied to Sienna. He told her they were going to find their way back to each other, but he never rushed her.

He let her figure out her own heart, in her own time, while constantly reminding her that he was right there.

Slowly but surely, those walls started to come down.

And my heart? Gone.

This is such a perfect fall read. It made me ridiculously happy, it gave me all the second-chance romance feelings, and it easily landed among my top reads of the year.

Five stars.

And now I’m already impatiently waiting for the next story. Because apparently Danielle Baker has decided I need to suffer between books.

I dare you not to fall in love with Sienna and Nash, as they fall in love again even though they never really stopped. A realistic depiction of second chances between childhood sweethearts. With the person who knows you better than yourself. Where working through broken promises isn’t easy. Where rebuilding trust takes time. But with the right person you will “find your gold in the wreckage.”

Sometimes the person you need is the person you least expect. After ten years, Nash shows up on the day of Sienna’s wedding to someone else, and in a game of Truth or Dare tells her to run even though it’s scary. And from that moment on, I knew I was hooked.

Sienna and Nash are not the people they were ten years ago. But those people are still there. They just needed each other to come alive again. Sienna lost her fearlessness. Nash never moved on from Sienna. Through their childhood game of Truth or Dare, they push each other to face what happened in the past and what they feel for each other in the present. Nash will capture you with his charm and playful personality. Sienna will have you laughing with her quick wit that keeps Nash on his toes. You will fall in love with them as they find each other again.

Danielle will keep you waiting for the other shoe to drop, and the impact it will have as Sienna and Nash reconcile.

The Miller women are guaranteed to make you laugh and cry. Their family dynamic comes across as authentic and relatable. My favorite scene stealer is Grandma Jude. I live for her antics and unhinged comments. She truly is unpredictable.

This group of women is truly amazing, and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

Thank you, Danielle Baker, for this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts, opinions, and a review.

I LOVED this book. 😭

First, I definitely recommend reading Danielle Baker’s other books before this one! You could technically read this on its own, but there are previous characters throughout, and I think knowing those characters and connections makes the story so much better.

Nash and Sunny. 🥹 Their chemistry was crazy, and I loved the history between them. Give me second chance, small town, runaway bride, motorcycle riding MMC, grief, and found family and apparently I am sold.

And then “You’re home, Sunny.” Excuse me?? Swooon. 😭

And they play truth or dare?! Every single “Truth or Dare, Sunny?” had me losing my mind. The history, the tension, the chemistry I ate it up. And the spice was good.

Nash absolutely got me with all the little ways he showed Sunny how well he knew her and how much he still cared about her. There is one particular thing involving Sunny’s love for three little chipmunks that made me want to scream. It was so ridiculously sweet.

Also, Grandma Jude is the MVP. No notes.

I do wish we had gotten a few more flashbacks surrounding what happened in their past because I would have loved to experience a little more of that part of Nash and Sunny’s story firsthand. But honestly, it didn’t take away from how much I loved this.

The romance, the grief, the family, the second chance, the chemistry. Ughhhh. I loved Nash and Sunny, and now I seriously cannot wait to get the other sisters’ stories!!

Thank you so much to Danielle Baker for the ARC! 💕

Broken promises
Sienna and nash
These two have a past that is unmatched! The way this man loved this woman all while having to go through what he had!
For me I felt this book was a win her back at all costs type of vibe! Some might say a second chance romance!
I think sienna and Nash never gave up on there first chance they just had to pause in way because of certain circumstances!
I loved how years later he wisks her away on her wedding day! Talk about perfect timing!
Yes that is how this book starts! Ex con boyfriend high tales it out of town with his love of his life on the back of his motorcycle while leaving her current not love her life finance at the alter! Yes I know that’s mouthful lol!
Nash shows up and proves he’s the one for her and she knows she can try to put up boundaries and walls but it’s useless she knows it’s him and always has been! These two find their way back to each other in the a beautiful, fun, trusting, loving way!
Okay and yes these two once they got that we are going to do this moment these two were so hot together! There’s a chapter that has to do with them in a field of sunflowers and we’ll just leave it at that!!! Yes Nash will make you blush for sure!
Unfortunately I did not read book one of this series but with that being said I was not lost at all nor confused you can definitely read this as a standalone.
⭐️/5 star read

I was so honored to have gotten to be a ARC for this book!

This book was one of my favorites, the back and forth pull of the characters was to die for. I absolutely fell in love with both characters. Nash is the book boyfriend I didn’t know I needed. I understand why he did what he did, despite how heartbroken sienna was I get it. I love a second chance book. No matter how much time passes you can’t get hide of a love like that. The almost mother in law was so horrible, so many times I wanted to throw my kindle because she pissed me off so bad. Also, Nash’s brother ( I could scream with how mad I wanted to slap this man, siblings man they think they deserve the world, absolutely NOT.) I did enjoy sienna’s ex to be so nice about everything and feeling the same way. That was a breath of fresh air.

Sienna and Nash’s story will forever be in my heart and I still think about them a lot. It’s so hard to say goodbye to characters you fall in love with. This read was a five star for me if I could rate it more I would. Thank you Danielle for giving me this opportunity to not only get to read your book early but writing such a heartfelt story. If you have not done so add this to your TBR it’s so so so good!!!

Nash + Sienna had me absolutely hooked. 😭💜

This second-chance romance had everything I love — heartbreak, raw honesty, ridiculous chemistry, devotion, and a man who is so completely gone for his woman that he would rather walk away than stand in the way of her happiness.

Their Truth or Dare game? Obsessed.

Sienna feeding and naming THREE chipmunks and Nash literally building them a home?! Excuse me while I melt. 🐿️🥹

Grandma Jude casually dropping hints so Nash would show up and get Sienna from her wedding day? LEGEND.

And the conversations between Nash and Sienna about the accident and everything that came after it were so raw and painful in the best way. You could feel how much history, hurt, love, and unfinished business lived between them.

Also… these two were HOT. 🔥

Protective Nash? Yes please.

Completely devoted Nash? Even better.

Nash and Sienna loving each other with their whole entire chests after everything they had been through? That’s the good stuff.

This one was emotional without being too heavy, sexy without losing the heart, and honestly just such a perfect low-key Sunday read.

I loved getting to see familiar faces from book one too — always one of my favorite things about an interconnected series.

Broken Promises was such a win for me. 💜

My sweet Nash shows up at Sienna’s wedding…thanks to a meddling Grandma Jude, to convince her to come HOME. And after a decade apart, this woman’s heart still belongs to him even though he destroyed it. She knows it. He knows it. Her fiancé is definitely not who she is meant to be with and that future mother in law can kindly go kick rocks because Sienna completely dodged the biggest dang bullet with that one.

But the backstory of these two?! THE REASON THEY LOST ALL THOSE YEARS TOGETHER?! Danielle, WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?! 😭 Those LETTERS. I was not okay. I was sobbing. Full on, I need a minute SOBBING. 💔

And when you’re dealing with soulmates who have spent a decade yearning for each other, you already KNOW the reunion is going to be explosive… but good lawdd…. the passion??? Nash doesn’t just love Sienna, this man WORSHIPS HER. As he should…but the way he looks at her, wants her, fights for her, the words that come out of his mouth make it crystal clear that she is his person. It had me kicking my feet, clutching my kindle, and questioning why my own life isn’t written by Danielle.

These two are ridiculously, devastatingly HOT together. The chemistry is absolutely off the charts, and the highlights in my kindle should be criminal. I laughed. I cried. I swooned. I screamed. I needed to fan myself approximately 847 times. Nash and Sienna OWNED ME. I cannot get enough of this series 🥹

The first time Nash sees Sienna after ten years, he busts into her bridal suite, busts her out of her own wedding then sweeps her away on his motorcycle.

Sienna is starting over after realizing the life she was about to choose wasn’t actually the life she wanted. And I really appreciated that her ex wasn’t turned into some awful villain just to make Nash look better. He didn’t mistreat her. They simply weren’t right for each other, which honestly felt refreshing and believable.

Nash is trying to rebuild his life after seven years in prison, in a town that still looks at him like he’s a murderer, while continuing to take care of the younger brother he basically raised. He’s carrying a lot and watching him navigate his guilt and grief was one of my favorite parts of the book.

And THIS MAN!!

He hasn’t slept with another woman since Sienna ten years ago. He builds a tiny house for the chipmunks she befriends. He pulls a full Noah from The Notebook. IYKYK!! The pining is pining.

Sienna is sassy and fun and their chemistry is absolutely off the charts. I loved the women in this family particularly the grandmother who orchestrates the entire runaway bride situation.
I ate this up.

ARC Review ADVANCE READERS COPY

First of all, I was completely invested in these two. 🌻
Nash and Sienna were deeply in love once upon a time, but after Nash ends up in prison, he makes the heartbreaking choice to walk away and let Sienna move on with her life. But can she? Years later, he’s finally home, but he still keeps his distance because he thinks she’s happy without him.

But then… Gotcha you need to get a copy yourself .
The way Nash loved Sienna absolutely melted me. Even after The Many YEARS apart, his feelings never changed. The longing, the devotion, and the fact that he could never truly let her go had me completely swooning! ❤️

Sienna was just as easy to love. You could feel how much she was still carrying, even when she tried to hide it. These two clearly never stopped loving each other, and watching them find their way back to one another was everything!
I also really enjoyed the family dynamics, humor, spice, and emotional moments throughout the story.

Overall, this was such a beautiful second-chance romance, and I completely fell for these two! I laughed, got emotional, swooned, and definitely screamed internally a few times.

Did I just run away from my own wedding with the one man I swore I'd never let close enough to hurt me again...? Yep. Honestly, probably not my greatest moment. But... Nash dared me to run... So, I did. And I'm not looking back. What's one more promise broken, after all?

I was buzzing to be able to jump back into this series, Danielle has written another beautiful book. I felt like I was there with the characters and felt all of the emotions.

Second chance. Ex-Convict. You have my full attention.
Throw in a runaway bride and a meddling grandma and I was hooked from the start.

This is without a doubt my favorite Danielle Baker book yet!!

From the moment Sienna and Nash reunite the history and heartbreak was palpable. You could feel the unfinished business between them. Their chemistry was undeniable, so easy, and steaming hot! I knew from the first chapter that I would be finishing this in one day!

I related and understood Sienna in more ways than I care to admit. And the bad boy himself, Nash… I loved him from the start and nothing could have changed my mind. The “Its always been you” tension was STRONG and I LOVED everything second of it!

Unpopular opinion: I am not a fan of the character art for this book, PLEASE do not let that deter you from reading. Broken Promises is 100% worth the read.

If you’re a fan of The Notebook or North Country by K.A. Tucker, you should definitely grab this one.

Huge thanks to Danielle Baker for the gifted eARC of Broken Promises.

✨ARC Read✨

Sienna and Nash 🥹 oh gosh these two were so sweet!

Ok I absolutely loved the way this book started. Runaway bride with the ex boyfriend who’s also an ex-con?! ON A DARE!! Loved it!!

Nash and Sienna’s story is bittersweet, rocked by tragedy and years apart, I found myself rooting so hard for their second chance. I could feel the deep love for one another from the beginning. And Nash… Nash baby!!! This man, omg I need my own Nash! The yearning from this man 🥹

I just loved them both sm, and there were so many sweet moments throughout.

I absolutely adored the side characters too, most we’ve seen from previous books and I just love getting to see little cameos of them. Grandma Jude.. what a hoot!!

I very much enjoyed this story, I laughed, cried a little and most definitely needed a cool down from the spice 🥵

Huge thanks to author Danielle Baker for this early read 🫶🏻

Received ARC from the author. This is my honest review.

4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
4/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
(Multiple open door spice scenes)

I loved this book! A second chance romance without a dual timeline was such a refreshing surprise. Baker did such a great job of weaving in the necessary backstory so the reader always felt caught up without the story becoming confusing or overly complicated.

I also loved that the side characters are from Baker’s previous books. It made me want to go back and read through her other books to learn more about them, but I never felt like I was missing anything important to this story. The only thing I wish I had gotten an answer to was what was going on with Andi. Since the next book focuses on another Bliss Gardens sister, I don’t think Andi was necessarily being set up as a main character, so I’m really hoping this means Baker has another book coming that we don’t know about yet.

The spice was so well written, and the yearning between Nash and Sienna could be felt on every page. I loved their love story and the sisterhood in Bliss Gardens.

Broken Promises ARC

OH MY GOD did I LOVE Nash & Sienna!! Their whole story was so good and I devoured this in one sitting. Second chance will always be my favorite trope and this did not disappoint

Runaway bride? Yes, second chance? Yes, all the green flags? Yes. Now Nash might be an ex con but when you find out their whole back story my goodness my heart broke for both of them.

And he helps her runaway from her wedding I was SAT. This man was everything and did what he needed to win her back. It was all the “it’s only been you energy” and so much yearning. This man was devoted to Sienna. Their chemistry was so good and the spice was HOT the mouth on Nash 🫠🥵🤭

This had me in all the emotions and kicking my feet. And those letters he wrote her I 100% cried.

I loved all the side characters and Grandma Jude was my favorite!! This was such a good read and I cannot wait for the next book in the series
