Very thorough; the book deepened my love for the breed. Accurate description of the breed, at times even comical, just like the temperament of a Dachshund. The best is the last line of the book, "Sharing your heart is the best way to mend it", which pertains to moving on when you just lost a cherished dog, by sharing your heart with a new one.

Even though they can get hip dyphasia and and back problems, they are full of energy and need a lot of excersice. I want one sooooooooo bad, so if you like dachshunds like I do, YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic book on dachshunds. It is quite breed specific throughout the majority of the book. I recommend this as well as dachshunds for dummies.
