M. S. Quinn

M. S. Quinn grew up in a small town near Madison, Wisconsin, devouring fantasy romance series like Twilight, City of Bones, and Vampire Academy. She graduated from college with a degree in art and elementary education, which she enjoyed—but not as much as storytelling. When she isn’t writing, she’s likely reading, spending time with family and friends, wrangling her cats, or exploring new restaurants with her husband.

Her passion for storytelling began in high school when she wrote a Cinderella retelling in her creative writing class. In college, she attempted her first novel. Though she didn’t finish it then. It wasn’t until years later that she reopened the lonely document and remembered her dreams of publishing. After learning the craft and connecting with other authors, she published her debut novel, Wings of Lies.

Now, M. S. Quinn has finished her highly anticipated second book, Wings of Darkness, continuing her journey of bringing emotionally charged, romantic fantasy to readers who love powerful heroines, slow-burn romance, and dangerous worlds.

Oh hells, this book. A huge thank you to Ms. Quinn for the advanced copy and for putting me through the full emotional rollercoaster!!!

I absolutely loved books one and two in this series, and Wings of Sacrifice did not disappoint. It picks up straight from the cliffhanger of book two, throwing us right back into the chaos and emotions after everything that happened. From the very beginning, this book grabs hold of you and refuses to let go.

Our poor FMC, Lucy, she’s dealing with the grief of losing her mother, trying to understand her incredibly complicated relationship with her father, and struggling with both her Cordistella bond with Ronan and her Guardian bond with Aspen. And yes, this does lead to a love triangle, but honestly? It was done so well. The slow burn, the tension, the emotional build up, it all finally pays off, and wow, was it worth the wait.

Meanwhile the situation in her kingdom continues to go hell (pun intended) The stakes keep getting higher, and the world building continues to pull you deeper into the story. There were twists and turns I genuinely did not see coming, and I loved being constantly surprised.

This book takes you through every possible emotion. I laughed, I cried, I got angry, I was shocked, I was sitting there thinking “what the hell is happening?” multiple times. Wings of Sacrifice delivers some truly devastating and gut wrenching moments, but they’re balanced beautifully with humour, hope, and those heartwarming found family moments that make you love these characters even more.

Honestly, this series deserves so much more hype. It is criminally under appreciated, and I cannot understand why more people aren’t talking about it.

And that ending?!

WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN?! Oh hells.. when is the next book coming out?

If you thought you'd get a reprieve from emotional devastation after Wings of Darkness, buckle up—Wings of Sacrifice takes it to an entirely new level.

Watching Lucy come to terms with her grief over her mother, navigate her complicated relationship with her father, wrestle with both her cordistella and guardian bonds, and ultimately grow into the leader we always knew she could be was incredibly satisfying.

We also get to see Ronen grow emotionally as he works to lower his mental barriers and finally let Lucy in.

And that slow burn? Sooooo worth the wait. 😏😮‍💨

Of course, we get plenty of Oli's signature humor, and I absolutely adore his relationship with Sam. 🥰

Aspen is carrying an incredibly heavy burden, but watching him come to terms with things that were never truly within his control was heartwarming. I can't wait to see the larger role he'll play in the final installment.

Meanwhile, the situation in Hell continues to deteriorate. The infected Damned keep attacking, Hell itself begins to melt, and our cast is locked in a race against time to uncover who's behind the infection and how it's spreading into the Redemption Circle.

With a major battle against the infected Damned looming, Lucy is forced to make an impossible choice between her own happiness and the well-being of her kingdom.

Wings of Sacrifice delivers plenty of emotional devastation, but it's balanced beautifully by humor, hope, and the heartwarming found-family moments that make this series so special. I can't wait to see where Quinn takes us in the final installment!

How does M.S. Quinn keep doing this to me?! 😭❤️

Every time I think this series can’t possibly get any better… it does.

Wings of Sacrifice had me on an emotional rollercoaster from beginning to end. I laughed, I teared up, I gasped, and by the end I was just sitting there wondering what on earth I had just experienced.

Can we please talk about Oliver for a second? He has some of the best quotes in this entire series. One that completely stayed with me was:

“Sometimes we need to hold ourselves through the mess and find our own strength to fix our broken pieces. But I’ll always be here to help you. From the ground up.”

🥹❤️

And then there’s Ronen… because apparently he couldn’t get any more perfect. Not only is he broody and protective, but he bakes?! Excuse me while I go convince my husband to learn how to make truffles. 😂🍫

The action in this book was incredible. That fight scene? Absolutely epic.

And then… THE TWIST.

I never—not even for a second—would have guessed where this story was headed. M.S. Quinn completely caught me off guard.

Finally… that ending.

WHAT. WAS. THAT?! 😭 Of course it ends on a cliffhanger! The emotional damage this book delivered was absolutely devastating, and now I’m left counting down the days until Book 4.

A huge thank you to M.S. Quinn for the opportunity to read this ARC. It was an absolute privilege to return to this world, and now I’ll be impatiently watching the calendar until the next book releases.

This book is incredible. I laughed. I gasped. I cried. I highlighted. I ANNOTATED.

M.S. Quinn strikes the perfect balance that can be incredibly difficult in this genre. There’s a good mix of high stakes battles and high tension mixed in with moments of humor and tenderness.

Lucy makes great strides in this book in terms of emotional maturity. She’s grown into a fierce warrior while also cultivating wisdom. This version of her might be my favorite yet.

Sweet baby General Ronen also makes a lot of progress in this book. From a hardened General warrior who thinks he needs nobody and certainly doesn’t want any distractions, grows into a more well rounded male capable of vulnerability, and change.

Aspen…. Okay fine, Aspen is also kind of redeeming himself and by the end of the book he’s a more likable character. The comparison of Aspen and Ronen helped me forgive some of the terrible things he did in the previous books.

I devoured this book in one sitting. So clear your schedule when you pick this up cause I highly doubt you’ll be able to put it down.

Be forewarned: this book DOES end on another cliffhanger but given this is the third and not final installment of this series, it is to be expected.

Overall, chef’s kiss. No notes to the author except WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO US? It hurts so good. Maybe your readers are the true masochists. 🥲😂😭

You creative, torturous, little hellion.

How dare you. HOW DARE.

Before i get into my rant, thank you so much for gracing me with this beauty and allowing me to be apart of your street team and more.

Now...

This book picks up right after that BRUTAL cliffhanger in book two. And the story continues in such a way that is so perfect, delectable, so SATISFYING that you are hooked in and dont want to let go. Im not normally a fan of love triangle but hot damn, when it is done right, like this book, you got me. I dont think there is a character I dont like (besides the enemies, obviously). Each character in this messed up, traumatic, found family is so perfect for each other that they all have a place in my heart. Yes even Aspen who i used to hate. SEE PROGRESS PEOPLE! Although all the characters have gone through some shitty things, i truly appreciate the growth from Aspen, Lucy and Ronen. They literally braved the beast that is lies and grief and everything in between.

There are some twists and turns that you will definitely not see coming and its GLORIOUS. Except that ending. That goddamn cliffhanger. That... that fucking HURTS MISS MAAM!

Heavenly Hells I don’t know how I am supposed to wait for book 4 now?! If it weren’t for the fact that I was reading this on my phone, I would have launched it across the room at that cliff hanger ending!
Every one of the books so far in this series has been incredible and I don’t know how you do it, but they keep getting better. The emotional depth and character building in this particular book were top tier. It definitely gave me “who done it” vibes with all of the mystery, intrigue and excellent twists towards the end! The slow burn and romance were like the icing on the already delicious cake (or the little heart on the delicious cakes, IYKYK) M.S. Quinn, I have to thank you for what your books have done for my soul. You have such a magnificent way of stepping through the many stages of grief in such a real way and from so many different angles and perspectives. It is absolutely beautiful. Also, thank you for my new motto “find your balls.” That has officially been added into my daily affirmations.

Honored to be an ARC reader for Wings of Sacrifice!

The bar was set pretty high after the first 2 books and I can confidently say book 3 was AMAZING. This book blew me away. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t finish this in under 48 hours. It picked up right after the cliff hanger from book 2 and really never slowed down from there.

Lucy (FMC) really went through a lot and I loved how we got to see her physical, mental and spiritual self learn and grow despite the trauma. Thank god she has a best friend like Oliver to lean on throughout and pull her out of her own head.

I also loved that we got more perspective from Ronen in this book. Especially loveeeeeeed the kitchen scene, so wholesome and amazing to finally see his shell cracking a bit for Lucy.

I finished this book with such mixed feelings because one the one hand it was so amazing I couldn’t put the book down. On the other, I finished it and now have to wait for the next book to see how the story ends!! I am so excited to see where this next book leads!

A huge thank you to M.S. Quinn for trusting me with an advance reader copy (ARC) of Wings of Sacrifice. I'm grateful for the opportunity, and as always, this review reflects my honest thoughts and opinions.

Wings of Sacrifice picks up immediately after the brutal cliffhanger in Book 2, and from the very first chapter M.S. Quinn throws you right back into the chaos. We finally get answers about Saraqael and Lucifer in the prologue, Aspen's backstory adds another fascinating layer to the story, and the mythology of this world continues to expand in ways that feel intricate and carefully planned.

One thing Quinn consistently excels at is her writing. The plot is incredibly tight, with details from earlier books continuing to pay off, and the lore surrounding the angels, demons, prophecy, and the two bonds is genuinely unique. The love triangle remains one of the most interesting I've read because neither bond feels forced. They're both compelling in completely different ways.

The characters continue to be the heart of this series. Watching Lucille grow from the woman we met in Book 1 into someone capable of leading others has been one of my favorite parts of the journey. Every major character continues to evolve, and those relationships - romantic and found family alike - carry real emotional weight.

The only reason this wasn't a five-star read for me was the pacing. I struggled a bit through the middle of the book, and it took me a while to figure out why. There was a heavier focus on plot progression than the romance. Normally that wouldn't bother me at all, but I'm so emotionally invested in the relationships in this series that I found myself impatiently waiting to get back to those moments - especially anything involving Lucy and Ronen. 🤭

Then came that ending...

I was absolutely not prepared. Shock, heartbreak, tears... I finished the book needing a minute to process everything that had just happened.

If you love dark romantasy with angels and demons, a badass heroine, possessive shadow and fire daddies, found family, beloved animal companions, and a love triangle that actually feels fresh, this series is absolutely worth picking up.

I will be impatiently awaiting Book 4 because I NEED to know how this story ends.

⭐⭐⭐⭐

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy of this book and I’ve never been so grateful! This series is definitely one of my favorites & to be able to dive back into this world was all I wanted.

These characters are so fun to read, and the dynamic that they have makes it all the more entertaining. Ronen is everything to me and to watch him grow outside his comfort zone with not only being bonded and having to navigate his feelings, but also trusting Lucy was nice to watch. He also had to adjust to Aspen being in the mix as well, which their “friendship”, a very loose term 😂, was entertaining to watch.

This book definitely keeps you on your toes, between the mishaps that happen along the way and all the battles. There was also this full circle moment at the end where it brings you back to the beginning and I absolutely loved the way it was done and had me shook. I’m sad I finished it and I’m so looking forward to book 4! I cannot wait!

First off, I’d like to give a huge thank you to the author for providing me an ARC of this book. I’ve loved this series from the beginning and getting to read this early was a big honor.

Where do I even begin?!? THAT ENDING?!?! SOS I need the next book now 😭

This series has been a such a journey and I am once again blown away by this author. The plot just KEPT PLOTTING and the emotions went deep. So much character growth and I love to see that.

The pacing was phenomenal, I never felt bored, and the plot kept me on my toes and guessing the whole time. Sometimes it’s tough to keep up a good pace in a series, but this author does it so well.

I’ve never read any books quite like this. What a fresh breath of air. This series quickly became one of my favorites and this book only solidified that.

I cannot wait for the next book 🥹❤️

I’m obsessed with this entire series. I picked up book one from seeing it online somewhere and was immediately hooked. I bought book 2 immediately after finishing book 1 and was blessed with an advanced readers copy of the 3rd. Wings of sacrifice made me feel all the emotions, and yes I did cry at the ending. Once again MS Quinn leaves us feigning for more, I can’t wait for the 4th book. MS Quinn’s writing is so beautiful and unique and she sucks you into the world building, the magic system, and makes you feel attached to all of the characters. Wings of sacrifice took me on an emotional rollercoaster in the best way possible. It does end on another cliffhanger, so be prepared! I’ll be on the edge of my seat until the next book is out. If you enjoyed book 1&2 I highly recommend continuing with the next book, you won’t be disappointed!

5⭐ ARC Reader Review!!!
I don't have any words, I'm utterly speechless with how this book came around and ended.. I thought I was starting to figure things out, and I was right about stuff, but then other things came to light and I literally stopped and just stared off into the distance for a while to process it all! The twists and turns in this book, and the whole series, is absolutely INSANELY WILLDDD!! Now, I'm going to end the review by saying this: HOW DARE YOU HURT MY RONEN AND IT BETTER BE WORTH IT IN THE NEXT BOOK!?!?!!!!!! 😭😭 I have never cried so much in reading a book, not just for the main characters but everyone else around them (literally) going through hell! I never thought I could fall so much in love with a fantasy book, but this angels and demons dynamic is what sucked me in and decided to give it a try. I have ZERO regrets, and can't wait for the end! 💜🖤❤️‍🔥❤️‍🩹

Holy crap MS Qwinn you have done it again. My heart absolutely jumped into this book knowing it was going to get broken and rebuilt and girl you have done that multiple times over. The complex love triangle in this story is amazing and even though it’s not a true love triangle it is a love triangle. Ronen, Lucille’s, and Aspen‘s journey is amazing and complex and has so many twist and turns be ready for your head to explode. Every single chapter was beautifully written, giving me mental visuals that are just spectacular from the heartbreak to the love to the connections. Everything was written and just beautifully. I cannot wait for a book 4. And that ending holy shit what a cliffhanger.

I did have the amazing opportunity and privilege to read this as an arc reader and this is my honest review.

Wow! This book was really something! Let’s just say I stayed up to finish it and I could not sleep. It was action packed from beginning to end with another huge cliffhanger. I don’t want to wait another year to find out the end of Lucille’s story. Everything from books one and two lead up to this master piece with so many questions finally answered. We get more of Ronen’s POV which was a huge plus for me, especially as we learn more about him and who is is besides the big and scary general. I loved his and Lucille’s building relationship. The kitchen chapter? Swoooooon! We also get more of Aspen and Lucille and this book and a little more about Oliver. The relationship and friendship building are top notch. Highly highly recommend reading this book after the first two! The best one yet!

Action packed! Book 3 starts strong from the cliffhanger in book 2 & just keeps going from there! You will not be disappointed. There were plot twists I did not see coming, love interests that finally come to a head & were absolutely worth waiting for (slow burn & love triangles done right), unlikely friendships, devestating & gut wrenching aspects, great character development, a world that I love to be in & constant adventure! This series has everything you want in a romantasy & you will find yourself unable to put these books down. I cannot wait for the rest of the story to unfold in Book 4, even though I will be upset for it all to end!

I LOVED this book!

The world building? Incredible. The diverse and in depth character arcs? Amazing. The story itself? I was left screaming at the end, and I cannot wait for the next book!

I genuinely forgot how much I LOVE M.S. Quinn's writing! I've had the pleasure of reading books one and two, and I did a full re-read of the series before reading this book, and I fell in love with the world of her series.

If you're looking for an angsty romantasy that discusses themes of grief and heartache and battling your inner demons WHILE still having a compelling and heart-tugging plot, then this series is for you!

Also, Lucille is a bada$$ who works hard at honing her powers, and Ronen is my favorite. Okay, that's all (:

AHHHHHHHH WHAT!!!! Yeah I am going to need a minute before I write a review…..

Okay it has been a couple hours and I am back. F&ck-a-duck this was such a good book! This series is criminally under hyped. The characters are all so fun and unique I can’t help but root for them all. This book had me going through all the emotions I laughed, I cried, I was thoroughly pissed off. You know everything you want in a Romantasy book. If you haven’t started this series yet… what are you waiting for! You are in for the time of your life in fact I envy you haven’t cuz I would love to be able to read this series for the first time again. ❤️

Anyway Happy Reading! 🙃

I stumbled upon this series when it showed up on my TikTok FYP not long ago. I binged read the first two books and was so happy to learn a third was coming it soon. Thankful to have recieved an ARC from author!

This may be my favorite of the series so far! I love all the character development and the twists and turns that kept me on my toes to the very end. I didn’t realize there are more books to come and anxiously await the continuation of the story.

There are not many books I read that I really love all the characters but this series and boom hit the ball of the park. Highly recommend reading this book and series!

I could not put this book down once I reached the 90% mark.

It started off slow at the beginning while characters were processing the trauma of previous events, and I was torn between "this feels realistic to the healing process" and "can we move on now?" This accounts for the four-star rating.

Once this book started going off though, I was excited to keep going. There's some major reveals in this book that had me DMing the author IN ALL CAPS because proper capitalization could not accurately convey my emotional state. The end is rough on everyone involved, but thankfully the acknowledgments at the end confirm book 4 is already in the works.

We needs it now, Precious!

Please hold on a sec while I pick up my jaw off the floor and wipe my face of tears. This book, I thought was going to be the end. I never expected it to end the way it did and I am absolutely heart broke and in tears thinking about it. But the roller coaster is definitely worth the read.

MS Quinn kept this book with so many twists and turns, I had to go back a few chapters to make sure I read something right the first time. I absolutely love the character growth and some of the side characters humor to keep it a little lighter. It was done well. Now, I’m get to spiral about book 4 during this wait!

5⭐️ a highly anticipated read for me, and it did not disappoint. I think I’m going to be starting at a wall for a couple of days processing that ending. Or maybe I’ll just go back to book one and reread the series.

This is easily a top tier series for me, up their with fourth wing and ACOTAR as I haven’t ready many series like it and I am enjoying all the twists and turns.

Thank you to M.S. Quinn for the advanced copy. I can’t wait to add a physical copy to my bookshelf

I was given the opportunity to read this book as an ARC reader. Book 3 in this series with more and more being discovered. Who is the stranger in her dream walking? What is her purpose? And love and sacrifice 💔 has Lucille question everything . What is this connection with Aspen and Ronen? Somethings are not what any of them think they are. Prophecies and destiny along with an infection keeps readers in a thrilling marathon of who are you rooting for. Who is the true enemy.

Holy hell this story was an emotional roller coaster that literally had me crying from prologue. The betrayal and lies that Lucy has to endure from those who were sworn to protect her just guts you but in the end the bond between Lucy and Ronen just get stronger and proves that love can save your from yourself. Have tissues ready when you dive in and don’t throw your kindles too hard lol.

Ok... First and foremost, thank you to the author for this gifted ARC.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I am genuinely UNWELL after this book.

Yes, the plot moves a little slower, but every conversation, every revelation, every seemingly small moment is laying the foundation for absolute emotional devastation.

Then that ending happened.

SOUL-CRUSHING. LIFE-ALTERING. GUT-WRENCHING.

If you thought the Onyx Storm ending destroyed you... this cliffhanger said, "Hold my beer." I closed the book and just sat there questioning every life choice because HOW am I supposed to survive until the next one?! This wasn't just a cliffhanger—it was emotional warfare, and I loved every heartbreaking second of it.

Now I'm going to go sit in my corner and cry... 😭

Wings of Sacrifice is the third book in the Daughter of the Seen Circles series. In book 3, Lucille is dealing with her mother's death, her uninterested father, and her complicated love life. This series is a unique take on Heaven, Hell, angels, and demons. There isn't much romance in this one because Lucille is in a love triangle, leaving her love life in limbo. The plot is mostly about finding the infected, where they are coming from, who is betraying Ronen, and reopening the gates of Hell. I'm still enjoying the story, but this is my least favorite of the three books. This felt like a placeholder book to bridge the first two books with book 4. I'm looking forward to what comes next!

Wow.... My jaw is on the floor yet again 😭. I absolutely loved books one and two, and Wings of Sacrifice did not disappoint. I also highly recommend the audiobooks for the first two books—they are absolutely worth it!
This book follows Lucille as she continues her journey to understand and harness her powers, save her mother, and somehow save Hell—all while navigating the impossible emotions that come with being bonded to two males who would do anything for her, even though each has broken her heart in a different way.
Ronen, the general of Hell and Lucille’s cordistella, has kept that very important detail hidden from her, making their bond even more complicated. Then there is Aspen, her first love, and the prince Lucille is guardian-bound to—the same male who kidnapped her, used her for his own purposes, and somehow still managed to save her. The tension between them all is intense, messy, emotional, and absolutely addictive. “Yours for all the days that I breathe and every silence after” had me completely undone.
The banter in this series is everything—sharp, funny, and full of yearning in the best way. One minute I was laughing and kicking my feet, and the next I was wiping away tears. The romance is complicated, the stakes are high, and the plot twists hit hard when you least expect them.
This is the kind of series that keeps you saying, “just one more chapter,” until suddenly it is way too late at night. It is emotional, intense, romantic, and impossible to put down.
This series is a definite must-read, but be warned: each book ends on one heck of a cliffhanger. I cannot say enough how much I have loved this series, and M.S. Quinn has officially become one of my favorite indie authors.
