"In a taboo industry that thrives on raw, emotionless sex, Gideon Dodd is a visionary who views gay sex as a thing of beauty and something to be celebrated rather than exploited. Gideon’s boys are the best in the business, not merely for their exquisite talents but for the bonds they share with one another as their mutual love for each other thrives on and off the camera. But as within all families, tension – and even jealousies – arise and threaten their ‘harmony’ at both home and work."

Jack Heart and Garrett North have more in common than either of them realize. Having grown up on a simple “rule” taught by a broken parent, Garrett is reluctant to venture beyond a sexual relationship with another man. After witnessing the tragic results of what love can do to a person, Jack now views love as a force that weakens, and which will make him vulnerable in ways he isn’t willing to risk.

But neither Jack nor Garrett can deny the reality of their deeper emotional attraction to one another as sparks fly with their very first “on camera” scene together. Though they both struggle to resist and deny their fast growing feelings, they find themselves falling into one another, risking all –only to be torn apart by betrayal. But as they both feel slighted, the question remains: Who betrayed whom?

Emotions on every level flare in Gideon’s home as the tension between the two young men crackle the air. But an even darker, more sinister force threatens Gideon’s family as the most innocent ones are draw into its clutches and threatened in the worst way.

Sexy, sweet, hot... 🥰 🔥 🤭

Boys of Porn it's a serie about men who do porn movies. And with this words, you'll thinking it's all about sex, it's more than that. Don't get me wrong, has a lot of sex, it's really hot but shows the person, not the profession or the sexual choices, gender. It's about love, friendship, intimacy, companionship, complicity.

Got caught up in the story, hard to put away without finish the book.
All the books end with cliffhangers, so I'm hopping in the second volume (and last), Pratt gets what he deserves and Scotty have a HEA, because I really start loving the guy.

I found out A. M. Snead with the series Curious Boys, spin-off of Boys of Porn and really liked the characters, so I got curious and started to read more from the author and all the books related with Boys of Porn.
Fallen series were next (I've started with the end).
So I had to go back and read the first ones and really know the characters that I started to love so much. They're strong and I got the feeling they are people I've known.

I just love books that makes me feel and connect with the characters that makes me love them as if they're really people.
For me, that's a really amazing book. Even if the story have flaws, or some bad lines, but if I can feel the characters being real, it's a winner for me 😉

This series shows us/remind us when we don't follow the society rules, how we can be ostracized, and sometimes I guess we forgot that. People who don't accept, violence to change our sexual choices and a thing that we all know that church does and it's horrible: conversion therapy.
Love is love, no matter it's between a man and a woman, woman/woman or man/man. If it's given freely and honest, it's beautiful, it shouldn't be seened as a sin or a freak person. So this series (althought hot with lots of sex), it's also about facing the fears and overcoming them.

“Oh, Mickey. No one can take me away from you.” He kissed his neck. “Never ever, ever, ever.”
“No one better not. Because I couldn’t breathe without you.”

“When you left me… you took both our hearts with you. I can’t live without a heart. I need you to give one back.”
Jack rested his brow against the base of Garrett’s throat and softly raked his fingers on his chest above his heart.
“Which one do you want back?” Garrett whispered unsteadily.
Jack pressed his body closer, his face pushing against Garrett’s throat. A quiet hitch caught in his voice as his wet lashes swept Garrett’s skin.
“Whichever one that…that hurts the least to give up.”
“Jack… I can’t breathe without yours.”
He dipped his head and sought out Jack’s mouth, kissing him softly.
“I can’t let that one go.”
description
“Ah, baby, what the hell are you talking about?”
He kissed Jack deeply.
“You were everything I ever wanted.”
His breath shuddered unevenly against Jack’s face.
“You still are.”

Although this review is for the full volume of Jack's story, I originally read each novella separately; picking the first one up on a whim because...aaaand no surprises here...I saw the three words-- Boys of Porn-- seductively flashing the subliminally hypnotic words...'COME TO ME'...like a shiny neon sign, … so couldn't resist taking the plunge into A.M Snead’s ‘Cockyboy’s’ inspired universe to see if it was as good as it sounded. Let's just say within five minutes of starting it, I was back on Amazon purchasing the next two, and ended up reading all three back to back! I couldn't put the bloody series down...which makes buying this volume with all three books under one cover, an absolute no brainer!

Sex, drama, emotional angst and beautiful hot boys! If you're a m/m romance fan, what's not to love in that combo. The main love story is between newbie to the studio, sweet natured, endearing Jack Heart and cocky but emotionally skittish, 'veteran' porn star Garrett North, who spark and make magic on screen together from the instant they do their first scene on camera, but after their initial magnetic attraction begins to morph into something more meaningful, find the road to love far from smooth. Both of them dealing with trauma from their pasts. Jack's a more recent sadness, but Garrett's more deeply seated.

Misunderstanding and a misguided sense of betrayal blocks their path at every turn, entwined with a secondary twisty, turny, suspense style mystery unfolding in the background, incorporating obsession, secrets, lies and manipulation. A thread left hanging at the conclusion of Jack and Garretts romance in a delicious 'to be continued’ finale that has me dying now for the next episode to arrive. I'm hooked!

I loved A.M's vision for this particular porn studio. It's filled with diverse, entertaining, sexy characters who will either have you falling madly in love with them the moment they appear on page, or in a complete turnaround, when it comes to the slimy bad guys, will have you boo hissing like a kid at a pantomime! The palpable sense of family, and camaraderie, between all the members of the studio and the owner Gideon Dodd...who as we get to learn more about him, has his own conflicts to bear but really cares for his boys...jumps out at you and grabs you into the intriguing dynamics between all the books cast that makes this the entertaining read it is.

Jack and Garrett…Gideon and his probable love interest, strip club owner Daniel......Lucas and the man who holds his heart: EMT and part time porn star Bailey...Derek, Chase, poor broken Scotty...even Pratt, the skeevy camera man...they all helped me blissfully shut real life away during my marathon reading session.

Not forgetting the beautiful, blonde bombshell 'Twins'...Marcus and Mickey. OMG! SEXORABLE!!!! Okay, I made that up, lol, but they are adorably sexy and yes they deserve the multiple exclamation marks. Holy hotness! The book is sizzling to begin with, but get ready to turn the air con even higher when those two are around....

The sexin' never stops and it's a conundrum of how do you find love and companionship when your profession is porn. Well, these boys of porn have to do it just like everybody else; stumbling through, miscommunication, compromise, being a porn star doesn't make it any easier.

Hot, fun read.

I believe this is a bundle of Jack of Hearts and Jack in the Box.

Lots of erotic content but there is also a plot

This isn't quite porn without plot, there is a strong narrative but it's perhaps a bit overly dramatic and, as is the case with this author's other work as CJ Bishop, there's damn cliff hangers all over the place.

It's also fairly dark in tone and yet references God and Christianity a lot, as happens in the author's other works, something I have to say I've always found a touch disconnected from the story.

I believe the basic message being given is that God loves all, love is love and no one should judge anyone else's actions. Unfortunately, as it sits alongside some of the worst behaviour in terms of man abusing their fellow man through either assault or - as is the case in this book - manipulating a vulnerable young man, I find it a little disconcerting.

Eventually those doing wrong will be punished, if this follows true to form with the other books, it would be nice if it wasn't quite so serialised though!

I did like the guys in this one and Garrett and Jack were super hot together, there's a good set of background characters too and the story nicely weaves the thriller element into the erotic and the romance.

There's a few minor editing mistakes and typos but not enough to stand out.

****Boys of Porn - Vol 1 has triggers, mental health issues, self-harm and suicide****

Jack (Boys of Porn - Vol 1) was , I'm actually stuck on how to review this book. I liked it but the sex scenes became repetitive but how can that be when the book is based on guys in the Porn industry.

The story itself the was well written. Jack, Garrett, Lucas, Bailey and the "twins" are great characters but maybe the Porn industry wasn't the right genre for this story but that is just me. The triggers in this book are potent and plenty so please be warned. Each of the character brought something to the table and I was pleased with how it rounded the story out. The characters are well written and I'm looking forward to how they proceed from here.

4+ stars. Not 5 stars mainly due to a HFN- and after 600+ pages that was a wee bit frustrating:) However, this was very good; very hot and VERY angsty! Lots going on and this is a continuing series that I will be continuing. Take Amy Lane's Johnnies and add more sex, kink and more sex and you've got the the Boys of Porn. Plus Volume 1 (3 books) had a mystery with a surprise ending and a cliff hanger. Oh and did I mention the main couple, Jack and Garrett, basically didn't properly resolve their misunderstanding until there was <15% of the final book remaining!!!! It was very addictive and, as I mentioned, A LOT going on with great secondary characters which I assume will be MC's in upcoming books! One big honorable mention - The Twins - they almost stole the show :)

What a page turner!

This was hard to put down! The characters Jack and Garrett are so easy to fall in love with. Each time I thought I'd be able to put the book down another fascinating character would catch my eye, like the twins or Lucas and Bailey. Scotty was written with such care and thought that it was hard not to grasp on to his character.
Garrett is definitely the fun loving character in the house and when he's asked to take part in the first scene with the new guy he didn't really how it would change his life.
Jack has always wanted to be a porn star and now is his chance. Garrett wasn't quite what Jack was expecting and that was why he was so shocked by Garrett and the way he feels when they touch.
Throughout this book the lives of some of the other men living in the house are mentioned and it so well written it's easy to follow and the secondary characters become just as important.

More than one story going on

We get Jack's third person POV mostly, but also some Garrett, then at least four other characters get perspectives as well, it took some focus to keep up with the huge cast. I didn't like the unannounced POV changes, especially with so many perspectives, and there's just a little too much going on. I mean, I fell in love with all of them, so I suppose that's pretty impressive. I hated the "bad guy" as much as Joffrey Lannister, it's all very infuriating for a good portion of the book. The plot kept my attention, I could hardly put it down, but was probably too complex at times with all the side-plots.
On top of all this, there's copious amounts of sex scenes with various characters, with differing amounts of heat. Like, there's two other presumptive couples circling eachother. A turducken of a romance novel.

Hotter than hell !!!

WOW where to start with a review for this....... I was hooked from the first sizzling page of this book, and, as you'd expect where porn is concerned there's a LOT of sexy shenanigans in this but also more than that too . its got an amazing plot with some fantastic characters too especially the twin's !!! I seriously loved everything about this and loved that it was deeper than being a book about just sex, but also it had a lot of a angst, drama, mystery and suspense. A few times I wanted to get in the book and slap or hug characters and it made me cry in places too. FANTASTIC !!!

What happen...

I finally got around to reading, JACK, Boys of Porn - Vol 1, when I find out the next book is not available. The book was getting very interesting, I want to know what happen with Scotty, Mickey and the rest of the Boys of Porn. Just when I was really enjoying the story, Book 4 is not available. Please don't do this, leaving me wondering and never finding out what happen, I need Book 4.

Intriguing, emotional great

These are a few words that would describe this book. Second time of reading as wanted to catch up before reading Royal. The book still had me guessing. I was engrossed all through it. Even had me in tears a few times. Great book, great author, would recommend this and Phoenix boys as well.

Well what can I say? I am never disappointed by this author. Each story is written as if you are immersed in their world with them. Nothing feels out of place, unexplained or unnecessary. I so felt for Jack and Garrett with their misunderstanding...so many lost opportunities to sort it out. And I fell in love with every single character. Can't wait to start the next one in the series

Good

Pros- well developed characters, emotional, engaging, nice plot twist, held my interest
Cons- immature actions of twins that was intended to portray innocence did not work well. Innocence does not = acting like a 10 year old boy. This is something the author has a tendency to do in most of her books. Normally, I overlook it, but this time I could not get past it.
Too many story arcs for one book. I normally like multiple POV, but this tried too hard to follow different stories for secondary characters where the stories did not overlap. I get some hints of things to set up for future books, but this book goes beyond that. It made following the story difficult at times.

Overall, I enjoyed the book and do recommend to fans of the genre. However, I caution fans of CJ Bishop who are new to her writing as AM Snead not to expect the same level of polish here. Solid 3 stars. I love Gideon, Daniel, Jack and all the boys. Will read more in the series.

I didn’t know that there would be something as ‘too much sex’ for me, but yes, this trilogy had me skipping sexscenes. Because there are A LOT! Everybody is doing it with everybody. Of course that’s totally fine, but it takes away from the special bond Jack and Garrett supposedly have. I would have liked a connection on an emotional level as well (have a conversation once in a while to get to know eachother). I thought I figured out who the bad guy was pretty quickly, but surprisingly they made me doubt it... The writing itself was not bad at all, but I have read better books with porn stars as MC’s. I didn’t like the cliffhanger ending.
BTW The fact that the porn boss was a virgin was really funny!

Holy ... what just happened?!

Okay so yes, porn stars. Yes, lots of sex. But the Scotty subplot has left me kind of a wreck? It was super creepy in the beginning, then angering, then extremely sad and I *thought* over but after the last scene I'm not so sure, so I'm on to the next book to find out.

Oh about this actual book though: I can't believe how quickly it hooked me and it never really let me go. Even though some of it was absurd, even though it has one of my least favorite sources of drama (miscommunication), even though I really couldn't stand all the God talk ... none of that slowed me down. So absurd or not, the author did something right by me!
