Last issue I expressed my concern about how the jawdropping development from the last issue would annoy me with some cop-out sleight of hand. There was some sleight of hand but it actually made a lot of sense regarding the physics of this storytelling world. It also resolved some of my confusion regarding the Priest in the last issue. Things are now making a weird kind of sense and I'm appreciating the care Kim is taking with the plot.
I thought one of the twins was less likeable than the author intended - turns out it was very much intended. My only quibble with this issue was that it was mostly concerned with explaining things and not a great deal happening except for an overly long car journey that was time for exposition. A necessary point in the story to address plot points though.

The art is consistently strong, there were less opportunities for their skill at action to be displayed and I think the need for expositionary dialogue limited their ability to depict a good car chase.

This issue was makevor break for me, and they pulled it off in terms of showing how what I thought were flaws were intentional. Great stuff.

Overall impression = 4/5
Writing = 4/5
Art = 4/5

Will I read the next issue? yes

Wait for the trade collection? the cliffhanger of the previous issue would have much less impact in trade.

Did I need to read previous issues/series? yes

Will I read previous issues already have.
