This is the renowned reading program that was created in the 1960's to ensure that all children could learn to read in engaging ways. This is the 12th book in the series and is generally used for first or second grade, perhaps by advanced kindergarten students.
I started grade school in 1966 and I used this series of workbooks.
I just absolutely loved them and I know they really helped me as far as reading skills.
I loved the illustrations and also the characters.
This particular workbook contained the stories The Bedtime Story, Ann and the Dresses, The King's Clock, Sam's Party, Tommy Helps Farmer Ned, After the Storm, The Magic Pencils, Jimmy and Big Paws, The Stolen Dime, Mrs. Quack's Hat Shop, and Sam's Sandwich,
Some of the stories that were contained in these workbooks were some of my favorite stories that I have ever read in my life.
