A new action/adventure novelette by speculative fiction author Samuel Brower. Things are not always what they seem on the city streets of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A man who seems a criminal may just be the one who helps you in your time of need, and a man who seems honest may just be hiding something sinister beneath his smiling facade. A terrible crime has been committed in the "City of Brotherly Love", and the perpetrator has gone free on a technicality. A nameless drifter takes it upon himself to mete out justice where the powers-that-be have failed to do so. It soon becomes clear that this vigilante-with-no-name is part of something bigger, and that perhaps the poor and downtrodden people of Philadelphia finally have someone to look out for them. Experience this edge-of-your-seat thriller now, individually, in advance of Brower's soon-to-be-released short fiction collection.

Omg, I've read this on kindle before and loved it. It's a great short story. So when I found out there was a tiny paperback for just a few dollars, I had to have it. I absolutely adore tiny paperback books. :D One of the perks of indie publishing with amazon. Adorable tiny books.
Anyway, "Among thieves" tells a short story about a modern-day robin hood, stealing from the rich to give to the poor. I love stories about Robin Hood, so this was tons of fun! It's well written and exciting, and a book I very much recommend to my fellow lovers of short stories. And Robin Hood fans!
Thank the book gods. With all the shitty short stories I've gotten off Amazon I was pleasantly surprised by this. It was well written. It was fun. Just wish it was longer and more was explained. Recommended to Robin Hood fans.
Fun little novella; the ending "twist" was predictable, but still handled well. Worth a read - this is a book that you can finish in one sitting. Some distracting typos in the publication process but nothing that Kindle readers haven't seen in Kindle Unlimited books before, unfortunately. We can complain about the editing process, but it doesn't look as though Amazon or their subsidiary publishers are going to do much about it since we are technically getting the books for "free" (read: a monthly subscription fee) and they really don't have much incentive to do better. It's a relatively small quibble anyway. The book is well worth the read in spite of the poor editing.
A modern-day Robin Hood retelling! I loved this because his Robin is the darker, flawed ambiguously good Hood of the Medieval ballads! he is doing some good things, but it is rather naughty ways!
loved it! my only criticism is it too short!!!! I want more!!!
