The Temporal Realm is fragmented. It exists now as three worlds moving in parallel through time, sharing a common history, connected by a mysterious portal. In the aftermath of a cataclysmic flood, Sariel wanders the desolate earths, searching for signs of life. The process of regeneration has led each world in a different direction, but Sariel uncovers their unique dangers and the sinister unity that binds them together. The gods are looking to the future, exploiting their temporal advantage to influence the war in the Eternal Realm. At the center of their efforts are the fragile remnants of humanity. Sariel, inspired by the words of an old friend and driven by his loyalty for a new one, will risk everything he has left in hopes of saving mankind. In Volume Four of the Wandering Stars, Jason Tesar’s fantasy epic draws to a close. With the prehistoric age of gods and monsters fading from human experience, a new era of myths and legends is born. An ancient prophecy is unveiled, bringing the story to a violent conclusion and setting the stage for the coming of The Awakened.
The third of four children and an introvert from the start, Jason Tesar grew up as an imaginative “middle child” who enjoyed the make-believe world as much as the real one, possibly more. From adolescence to adulthood, his imagination continued to feed itself on a diet of books, movies, and art, all the while growing and maturing—waiting for its opportunity. Then, during a procession of monotonous, physically laborious day-jobs, his imagination leaped into motion, bringing together characters and locations of a world that would someday come to life on the pages of a book.
In late 1998, Jason made his first attempt at writing, managing to complete a whole scene before returning once again to reality. A year and a half later, a spontaneous night-time conversation with his wife encouraged him to take his writing seriously and to keep on dreaming. Over the next seven years, Jason carved time out of the real world to live in an imaginary one of epic fantasy, science-fiction, and military/political conflict. The fruits of this labor would later become the first three books of the bestselling AWAKENED series.
Due to the incredible support from readers around the world, Jason continued his trajectory into make-believe, jumping from stable employment in the micro-electronics industry into the mysterious abyss of full-time writing.
Living in Colorado with his beautiful wife and two children, Jason now spends the majority of his time fusing the best parts of his favorite genres into stories of internal struggle and triumph, friendship, betrayal, political alliances, and military conflict.

Didn't want to Read This... but I'm so glad I did. Not that I could have actually resisted the read, but my feelings were split (or fractured if you will - wink wink) between an insatiable desire to read more of Sariel's story and the sadness for the prequel coming to an end. This volume of The Wandering Stars is not to be missed. I didn't think it was possible to weave the two series together so seamlessly, yet somehow Jason Tesar has managed to do it, and managed to make it intriguing every step of the way. Jason's writing style really makes you feel as though you're in the story living the characters' lives with them. You feel their love, pain and losses like you had experienced it all firsthand. This might possibly be my favorite of The Wandering Star series. They are all amazing but this last one is filled with what I refer to as "ah-ha" moments. These are the times when you're reading and you discover that the scene you are experiencing directly ties into something you're familiar with. This work of art is filled with those moments, and those moments make for some of the best experiences as reader, in my opinion. No one could have done this series better than Jason Tesar. It's not completely Jason's fault but I now struggle to read anything other than his work. I often times find myself downloading a book and tossing it aside before I even manage to get half way through it. Most books seem lackluster and unimaginative by these standards. It's probably not fair to the other authors, as their work is still quite good, but it just doesn't stack up and always seems to be missing something. I'm just waiting for the day when Jason's stories are turned into a TV series or movie collection. Congratulations on finishing the series and I look forward to the next installment of The Awakened.
Full disclosure--I'm biased because the author is my friend--but this series was amazing. Having read the Awakened Series first, it's really fulfilling to get the back story in the Wandering Stars series. Even if you read Wandering Stars first, the Awakened Series will be that much richer of an experience, yet it's already a stand-alone solid story. And really, I feel like Jason's story as a whole (both series together) is an experience! I love the scope of history covered and anything with alternate realms is delightfully mind boggling to me. I've told him before, and I feel the same way after completing the series, I think all of pre-history might have actually gone down like this. His imagination is vast and inspiring and I found myself fully caught up in the mystery of angels and how they would have interacted with humans in the earliest of days. Brilliant work, Jason! Can't wait to read more!
What a great end to this series perfectly setting the stage for the awakened series and answering a lot of questions Would really recommend this series
I can't get enough of Jason Tesar. His books are so vivid. The transition of this series into The Awakened is flawless. I read the Awakened series first but didn't suffer any continuity issues. I am glad I read the two series the way I did but either order of the series works. Epic saga so worth reading. I cannot recommend these books enough. Immerse yourself and enjoy being taken on a wild ride. Gbash
