This story was an ok read for me.
The relationship between Brianna and Duke was kind of hard for me to fully love.
This book reminded me a lot of the Out Of Line series by Jen McLaughlin. This book kind of had the same story line. But the MC in that series wasn't overpowering like Duke was.
Ok... Right off the bat... Duke just wasn't sitting right with me. The whole hospital stay with Brianna was a little much. He came on way to strong and way to fast. She knows virtually nothing about him besides he's the one who helped her at the night club.
Then he opened his mouth and started saying how he was going to kill everyone who basically jumped in his path to Brianna!

Ummmm.... She knows nothing about him and he's talking like that! They are strangers!
That's a red flag number 1.
Then he didn't want to leave her hospital room when she asked him too!!
Red flag number 2.
Now... Even for me that's creepy and scary. Even if he was the one to help me and save me from the drunk frat guy.
Their were red flags going up left and right with this guy. I didn't even feel the instant attraction between them.
I always think to myself when I read books like these. You got to work your way up to that point of craziness.
Because, it is totally crazy to act like that.. So over powering to a person you just met. And ignore what the other person is asking of you.
Ok.... I pretty much figured early on why Duke and Brianna's path have crossed. It was just a matter of how Brianna would react.
I found it kind how hard that Brianna would ask questions about Duke's job and not get answers. He would give her these very vague answers. And she wouldn't go deeper into it. That killed me. I hated that.
How could she not put 2 and 2 together. And not know who Duke really worked for.
The one thing I kept feeling while I was reading this book was...
It all felt a little cold in the beginning between Duke and Brianna. I wanted to feel more. It seemed a little one sided.
And... I hated how Brianna was portrayed in this book. She was 24... But acted much younger than that. I would say like someone in their early teens.
With all her pouting, stomping her feet, huffing, crossing her arms over her chest, slamming doors, throwing herself down on her bed, tapping her feet.
It was hard to take her seriously.
Maybe that's why it felt one sided to me.
And then you have her parents treating her like a child. It was just so over the top.
I don't even know how to feel about the whole John thing. Why keep it a secret.
Overall.... This book was ok....
I liked certain parts in this book and then there were other parts I just didn't care for.
But...overall... it was ok.

Swoon worthy, suspenseful and HOT.
Thrasher kicks off quickly, the characters building their relationships without any hindrance- with an ease of comfort that reminded me of 2 people who hadn't just met, but had known each other their entire lives. Brianna Hamilton is a sassy and spoiled Florida gal, living life to the fullest, fearlessly. She's independent by nature, and even a tad bit bull headed. When a night out on the town lands her in the ER with a concussion, the last thing she expects to wake up to is the Good Samaritan keeping watch by her bedside. Duke Thrasher... yes, sexy Alpha ex-marine Duke Thrasher. Their lives intertwined quickly, full of lust and romance- all the necessary needs for a happily ever after in the making. Duke is protective and loving of the head strong and sometimes whiny Brianna. Being the Governor's daughter, however, has its perks and it's draw backs...oh their lives are intertwined, but just how tight? How strong is the rope that tethers these two together?
Even fairy tales have a plight that the prince and princess must fight through to win their happiness...
Duke Thrasher....ahhhhh swooooon!!!! This man will swoop you off your feet! He possesses the perfect balance of Alpha male- stern, protective, sexy and tough. He has an air of authority to him, and earns the respect of every man who comes to know him...
Brianna Hamilton- I liked Brie. She and her best friend Megan were both fun loving and happy go lucky, but at times her whiny, spoiled brat nature annoyed me. I think life lessons she learned through the early journey with Duke taught her so much about trust, friendship, honesty, love, life and honor.
Tripp- he's hilarious! Gunnar- the strong silent type that truly intrigued me....he's slightly mysterious.
I genuinely enjoyed Thrasher, and can't wait to see who we get next!

Brianna and Duke meet when she is injured while out at a bar by a frat boy who was apparently drunk and stumbling around. Duke comes to her rescue and insists on staying with her throughout her hospital stay to make sure she is okay. Brianna was very unlikable throughout this book. For a 24 year old she was immature, manipulative and downright obnoxious. She spends her father's money like it's nothing and, although she claims she wants to stand on her own two feet, she buys furniture on her dad's dime and laughs about it. When she is finally confronted with the truth about what Duke does for a living she acts like a 3 year old and then does something even dumber with her new body guard. The incident at the bar with a virtual stranger was the icing on the cake. The reckless disregard she had for her well being was beyond my comprehension. Her failure to utilize protection with any of her partners during this book bothered me immensely. Instead of owning up to what happened with John, she doesn't tell Duke anything about it, even though she claims she wants total honesty for them. I just didn't feel the "love" between them and cannot fathom what Duke would possibly see in her. She goes down as my least favorite female character of 2015 so far and that's saying something.

This is the first book by K.S. Smith that I have read and OMG, this girl is going back for more!! The story line was amazing. The writing flowed so fast I devoured this book in a few hours! I was beyond happy having the chance to read this ARC. K.S’s writing is amazing, descriptive and on point. I freaking loved every minute of it.
Duke is totally my kind of alpha male that could overtake me at any time.. hello new book boyfriend!! Brie is a very strong female character and I absolutely loved her. She gave Duke a run for his money as well! She drove me nuts in a few spots and had me yelling NOOOOOOOOOOO don’t do that at another! But Duke, he was amazing, hot, and extremely dominate but the soft side of it. He is just amazeballs. Very well thought out and comprehensive characters in my book. I also looooved the supporting characters.. Megan and Tripp were an utter hoot throughout the entire book and enjoyed every moment they were part of the story.
This is one book I do highly recommend if you are an Alpha lover like myself. I loved the fluidity of this story and the storyline itself. It was a brilliant read and hopefully… just hopefully there will be more from this group of hot men she has in this book!!

K.S. Smith is one of my favorite people that I'm honored to call friend! I have read everything she's written, this being one of the top books on my readers list. I fell in love with Duke Thrasher, and not just a little, but a lot. I've laughed, I've cried, I've gotten upset, in fact, I think I've gone through every emotion.
I expect a Duke in my bed, very soon. Why? Because he's just HOT. You have to read how he treats his woman. You like soft and sweet. That's Duke. You like it rough, that's Duke. You like demanding and lustful, that's Duke!
I'm a big Duke Thrasher fan and he's my newest Book Boyfriend! Forever!
If we even as much as touched one another, this elevator would be out of commission for the next half-hour, so we stood in our opposite corners, practically eye-fucking each other until the elevator dinged.

The base of this story is very enjoyable, it is also fairly predictable with only one true plot surprise. Duke Thrasher is dark and brody which is super sexy. He's a bad ass protector who is very secretive about his life. I love Thrasher, great hero.
Brie is a different story, I don't like her. She's early/mid twenties, a teacher and very very immature. Her conversations with Megan read more as hs cheerleaders than adult teachers. She throws temper tantrums, lives at home in daddy's house and complains about being treated as a child. She demands honesty from Duke, yet does something completely unthinkable and does not fess up.
The romance was missing. No true whining and dining, no deep conversations that lead me, the reader, to believe their was anything more than superficial flirtation between Duke and Brie. I felt more "relationship" between Megan and Tripp.
In Conclusion I don't feel that I wasted time on this story, but I feel it needs lots of work.

This book was great. There is no cliffhanger at the end but, im hoping to
get more on these characters in the future. I dont want to write anything that will
give the plot away. I'll just say it was really good, the characters are believable
Brie falls for Duke and finds out that he has been lying to her for quite a while.
She ends up getting herself in quite a bit of trouble after she makes a big decision.
To bad those Marine's don't give up easily especially when they are inlove!

Protection never looked so HOT !!!
My god I can't stop drooling over Duke Thrasher! Oh man that man makes your panties weep! This book was very well written and you will absolutely devour it! I hope we get to hear about the rest of the guys too! I'm not a spoiler so you are gonna have to read about Duke and decide for yourself! I can tell you I'm so jealous of Brie! Lucky girl! If I had a man like Duke I think I'd be getting into trouble on purpose just so he could save me. Over and over again hehe a must read!!

Two words. Duke Thrasher. Holy Wow. This book was fantastic, I almost threw my kindle at the wall though lol it made me mad, sad, & happy. I loved it! I picked it up and read the whole book in one sitting :) Hopefully Gunner has a story, he has me intrigued. <3

This story has just 1 POV. I have not read one of these types of books in a while that it was really refreshing to see just one side of the story.
The first line of Thrasher took me by surprise. I did not know what to expect from this book. I have read other books by Ms. Smith and her co-writes and absolutely loved them, however I was warned this was a totally different type of book. I have to say that Thrasher has everything; sexy hot military men, a steaming romance, a seemingly damsel in distress and just enough suspense and laughter to keep you turning the pages all night long!
Brianna Hamilton is a girl that you just love to hate. She has everything she could want with her father being in the powerful position he is. Brie tries to make it seem like she is not rich, however in some parts of the story I could tell she still wanted people to know who she was and played the power card.
Duke Thrasher is ex marine that Brianna meets in a bar that seems to be sooo protective of her at first. He won't tell Brie much except that he has his own business and he protects high ranking people and they don't know it. He runs his own security firm with some other fellow ex marines called Thrasher Inc. Brianna thinks that it is fate that has brought Duke into her life. Something happens at the bar that brings Brie and Duke closer together and they do not spend hardly a moment alone, unless he is working for a client.
Who exactly is Thrasher and his guys protecting? What doesn't he tell Brie all of his motives?How does Brie handle this information when she does get it? How does her any of her actions put her in danger?
Well to get this answer and many more you need to pick up your copy of Thrasher today! Like right now! My recommendation..Read it at night. I did and I LOVED IT! Thanks K.S. for another enticing read! I WILL be back for another!

This book was Hot and Sexy!!! Duke and Brie have some serious chemistry. They meet at the bar, she has a altercation with a guy, who in turn,bumps into her sending her to the ground. Duke is there to make sure she's ok and takes her to the hospital. She is thinking he is a knight in shining armor but really he's not. She continues to hang out with Duke and due to his schedule, its hard to find time but they make it work. You soon find out that Brie is the governor's daughter and I know you are thinking spoiled rotten brat but not really. Brie is the opposite. She's witty, funny, stubborn, sarcastic and all around good friend. I love her best friend Megan, she's awesome. Things are going really well for Duke and Brie until a class trip changes everything. Brie soon finds out why Duke was there the night they met and who he is working with. She is extremely pissed and decides to take things into her own hands, pissing off everyone. While she thinks she is doing the right thing, is retropect, she isn't at all. After yet another hospital stay, she realizes that she's in love with Duke and needs him in her life. Duke is definitely swoon worthy! I mean, how could he not be when he's ex Marine and works security...My favorite part is definitely the ending..ends happy all around. This book will have you swooning and laughing plus at times, wanting to smack Brie for being stupid. I would recommend this book to everyone, it was a great read. I really enjoyed it!

If you read this as a fun sexy read it is great. Thrasher is a crazy over the top Hero from the get go, to be honest he is a bit scary stalker at first. But as the storyline settles down he is definitely a sexy alpha male, In addition to that there are a bunch of other lovely alpha males in his security team who are also sexy and sweet.
There are flaws in the story though and they prevent it from having high markings.
Brianna is a 24 year old teacher and you wonder how she can have that responsibility sometimes. She and her friend Megan act quite juvenile sometimes. She is spoilt and a Princess who spends her daddy's money yet resents him. I understand why she resents him and her mum but don't live of him at 24 years old then complain about his lifestyle.
She does something pretty unforgiveable later in the story yet never suffers for it. It was a little unexpected considering the type of story this is and how much she dislikes liars. I wasn't really sure why the author went there. She was not the most loveable heroine due to her attitude sometimes in the story, although despite this I still felt upset for her during her separation from Thrasher. It is a nicely told story and it was sexy so I enjoyed it. The romance between his friend and Megan is great too. It had a lovely romantic epilogue as well.

So here goes. freakin loved it !!!
So Brianna Elizabeth Hamilton is your typical fun loving young single carefree woman. She Sassy and classy, and is a teacher. But her father is a pornstar ! oops no no he isn't!! While out on the tiles one night with her best friend Megan, a little incident happens and a Hot Hunk of man candy comes to her rescuse! Enter Duke Thrasher!!! Bri and Duke hit it off big time, and the antics and banter between the two will have you laughing so hard !! But Duke is hiding a pretty big secret and when it comes out it could destroy everything him and Bri have!
I found this story sucked me right in from the very beginning, it's got humour, its hot n steamy, it will suck you right into an emotional state of mayhem and leave you laughing and crying at the same time !! I loved the developement of Bri and Thrashers relationship, not only with each other but with their friends. It felt real!!! and even when the proverbial crap hits the fan, you just feel so gutted for them!!
This is a page turner and well worth clicking and reading !! I LOVED IT and really hope we get more of this lovable group especially Gunner !!!!

I would absolutely love to be thrashed by Thrasher. I fell in love with the cover, and then with each character. I couldn’t put this book down, and I didn’t want to. I screamed, I laughed, and I got HOT!! Duke Thrasher is my new Book Boyfriend. I love Ms. Smith’s previous books, and this one is no different. She nailed it again!!!

I would absolutely love to be thrashed by Thrasher. I fell in love with the cover, and then with each character. I couldn’t put this book down, and I didn’t want to. I screamed, I laughed, and I got HOT!! Duke Thrasher is my new Book Boyfriend. I love Ms. Smith’s previous books, and this one is no different. She nailed it again!!!

This was the first book I have read from this author and I enjoyed it. There were definitely some parts I felt were a tad rushed and a certain situation that occurred I felt just kind of was dropped and never discussed again. BUT - the story was good.
Duke is like one of those sour patch kids - sweet and sour - or in his case sweet and totally hot, rough, sexy alpha male. Brianna - is "sheltered" in a way because of her father's career. So when she makes the decision to "break free" that's when the drama unfolds.
I enjoyed the characters and the story. You will swoon, laugh and when some S*it hits the fan....your heart will ache. I kind of felt I knew what was going on as I was reading it. It was a tad predictable. But - I still enjoyed it.
There is no cliffhanger. Stand Alone - BUT I would love to see more stories that involve the other members of the "Security Team".

I WANT MORE DUKE!
Thrasher is amazing! you will immediately connect with the characters. and this is one of those books that once you start you cant put it down and then when its ended you get depressed cause you want more and its over. For Once i kinda wish there was a cliffhanger cause i know there would be more Duke! but im kinda ready and hopefully we get to know more about gunner.

Brianna is out with her best friend when she is knocked down by a drunk guy at the club. Duke comes to her rescue and takes her to the hospital. There is a sizzling chemistry between them and they start seeing each other. I loved the moment when Brianna first visits where he works and I really liked his team. They were hilarious and also very sweet to Brianna. They share some scorching hot moments and Duke is quite the naughty talker. Then Brianna finds out that Thrasher has a secret and it changes things between them when she discovers the truth.
I really loved the two of them together. I also loved her best friend Megan and Tripp together. I really want to read Gunner's story. I am so curious about him after just a brief meeting in this book. I really can't wait to read the next book in the series.
I give Thrasher 5 hearts!

I loved this book from the very beginning. from the way they met to how He stood by her.
Thrasher is HOT, He's protective and will do whatever it takes to make sure Brie is safe.
But keeping her safe may cost him the one girl he falls in love with.
Brie is the daughter of High profile parents who will do anything to keep her safe. even if it means
having her watched without her knowledge.
Brie's interactions with her Best Friend Megan had me laughing, I love when a book
can make me fall in love with the secondary characters and I love Megan and Tripp, So i'm hoping
their story is next.
and lets not forget the Hot sex. These two can't keep their hands off each other.

I have to admit that TRASHER is the first book I've read from this author and I really liked it! I can't put it down.
K. S. Smith has pulled me into different kind of emotions while reading this book. One moment, I like Brianna and then next, I want to pull her hair and scream "How could you?" but when it comes to Duke Thrasher, it is love at first read. Haha I really love that guy and i can't find any reason to hate him.
I am so looking forward for a lot more stories from other characters in this story. I want Megan to be my BFF and then Gunner, that guy,I see him as Tim Tebow but tanner *sigh*...

For Duke Thrasher not getting the mission done is not acceptable! When he meets Brianna at a bar he decides nothing will stop him from getting this one done! It starts off as a job to protect the governor's daughter secretly but becomes so much more. He can't tell her that he is there to protect her with his elite team because he's afraid he will loose the strong independent Brianna and the battle starts will love trump pride with these two and will she accept it. The tension is great and the sex is scorching with these two. I truly enjoyed this one!

This is the first book by the author that I have read. The story was not what I expected and I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the love story of Duke and Brianna and I had a hard time putting this book down, in fact I read it in a day. There is a great mix of Alpha males, that is a plus, also some "bromance" moments that I always enjoy. It was a great book and I will be looking forward to reading more from this author.

Oh what a fun, sexy, intriguing book. I love when a book has unexpected twists and turns. The love of the characters is heartfelt. You get roped in and then WHAM. When that moment came I was not sure how I was going to enjoy the book after that. Oh, but then it got so good and wild and then amazing! Thrasher is certainly one of my favorite lead males. Jump in, you'll love it.

Another fabulous book by Ms. Smith!
I thoroughly enjoyed Brianna and Duke's story. This story was fantastic, fast paced and full of hotness!

This story was an ok read for me.
The relationship between Brianna and Duke was kind of hard for me to fully love.
This book reminded me a lot of the Out Of Line series by Jen McLaughlin. This book kind of had the same story line. But the MC in that series wasn't overpowering like Duke was.
Ok... Right off the bat... Duke just wasn't sitting right with me. The whole hospital stay with Brianna was a little much. He came on way to strong and way to fast. She knows virtually nothing about him besides he's the one who helped her at the night club.
Then he opened his mouth and started saying how he was going to kill everyone who basically jumped in his path to Brianna!

Ummmm.... She knows nothing about him and he's talking like that! They are strangers!
That's a red flag number 1.
Then he didn't want to leave her hospital room when she asked him too!!
Red flag number 2.
Now... Even for me that's creepy and scary. Even if he was the one to help me and save me from the drunk frat guy.
Their were red flags going up left and right with this guy. I didn't even feel the instant attraction between them.
I always think to myself when I read books like these. You got to work your way up to that point of craziness.
Because, it is totally crazy to act like that.. So over powering to a person you just met. And ignore what the other person is asking of you.
Ok.... I pretty much figured early on why Duke and Brianna's path have crossed. It was just a matter of how Brianna would react.
I found it kind how hard that Brianna would ask questions about Duke's job and not get answers. He would give her these very vague answers. And she wouldn't go deeper into it. That killed me. I hated that.
How could she not put 2 and 2 together. And not know who Duke really worked for.
The one thing I kept feeling while I was reading this book was...
It all felt a little cold in the beginning between Duke and Brianna. I wanted to feel more. It seemed a little one sided.
And... I hated how Brianna was portrayed in this book. She was 24... But acted much younger than that. I would say like someone in their early teens.
With all her pouting, stomping her feet, huffing, crossing her arms over her chest, slamming doors, throwing herself down on her bed, tapping her feet.
It was hard to take her seriously.
Maybe that's why it felt one sided to me.
And then you have her parents treating her like a child. It was just so over the top.
I don't even know how to feel about the whole John thing. Why keep it a secret.
Overall.... This book was ok....
I liked certain parts in this book and then there were other parts I just didn't care for.
But...overall... it was ok.

ALPHA MALE GOODNESS! So as you can imagine, the cover of this book is what first caught my eye. Holy hell that is one hot cover – sucked me in completely. This coupled with a recommendation by an author that I enjoy meant that this was a no brainer one click for me. KS Smith delivers one hot and sexy read.
A night out on the town goes horribly wrong for Brianna Hamilton landing her both in the arms of a sexy stranger and in hospital. Duke Thrasher is nothing if he is not gorgeous. But this mysterious Good Samaritan will not leave her side until he knows that she will be alright.
The attraction between them is undeniable. And what starts off as an act of assistance soon escalates into a whirlwind romance between the two. But there are other forces at play and nothing is as simple as it seems. Can the two of them overcome any obstacle that is put in front of them? Can they survive what simmers beneath the surface?
Just like the cover, this book was steaming hot. The sexual chemistry between Brianna & Duke was off the charts and you could feel it charging the air as you read.
This was actually a hard one for me to rate and I fluctuated for a long time. I really enjoyed the storyline and Ms Smith’s writing style but what let it down slightly for me was Brianna. While she was sassy and witty at times, there were others times when her actions were a bit whimsical and self centred and all I wanted to do was hit her up the side of the head. I don’t want to give away any spoilers but there was 1 particular incident in this story between Brianna and another character which infuriated me. And then the way it was handled and then dropped without any real resolution really annoyed me.
Yet as the book progressed I could sense the change that she was trying to make and lead her to learn from her mistakes.
Man, I am in love with Duke Thrasher. How can you really pass up an ex-marine, alpha male? His take control attitude was perfectly offset by the way that he cherished and worshipped Brianna. You knew without a doubt that he would do anything for her. He tried his damnedest to keep her happy at every turn. I could not help but feel for him as he battled through a lot of the book. And when the chips were laid down he was there every time – despite all that had gone on.
This book had a bit of everything. There was angst, levity, heat, suspense, twists, action, happy moments and said moments. It was an easy read that keep me engaged for the entire book to see what will happen next. I recommend this book to those that love their romance stories with a strong, utterly delicious male and a side of smut. I enjoyed KS Smith’s writing and will definitely pick up another one of her books.

MY REVIEW!!! -- 5 STARS
So this is my first book from K.S Smith and I honestly didn't know what to expect! Brianna has a spoiled life. Spoiled in many ways actually, She has everything she could ask for - financially that is. I think she is also spoiled in the way because of her fathers job she in encased in a box, not being able to breathe or live the way she wants to and she is rather lonely at times, she however has her best friend there for her to help. Duke Thrasher?.. Duke...Thrasher... HE. IS. HOT. He is a hell of a mystery he's broody and alpha! Duke comes into Brianna's life one night out of nowhere being her Knight in shining Armour! That is until the mystery that is Duke Thrasher begins to unravel along with the full story.
From the start I really loved Brianna. Even though she had this life where she should be a little sad and maybe even a raging spoiled bitch she didn't come across like that. I loved the friendship between her and Megan. Brianna was a little daring at times too and I love that in a female leading character. There was one point in the book - without ruining it lets just say Brianna had a bitch fit, and remember I really love her. I thought "Really Brianna. no!"for me it was a little of that spoiled rich kid kind of thing. Over reacting. I didn't turn against her or anything it was more like when you get annoyed at your friend a little lol! But Brianna + Thrasher = HOLY HELL AND HOTNESS.
Like I said at the beginning I didn't know what to expect and I loved it! So this book was pretty good! Brie & Duke were the two main characters and were pretty good! They had amazing chemistry between the two and their between the sheets is off the charts hot!!!
Brie & Duke had a one night stand that led to being so much more because they keep meeting for more than one nights. Duke is every female's dream guy. He's all alpha. And Brie sure knows how to give him a run for his money.
"What does he do? he asked suspiciously, taking a sip of his water.
"He's a Porn Star."
The water flew out of his mouth and spewed all over the floor as he chocked on his words. "A Porn Star? Your father is a Porn Star?"
As much as Brie was strong and independent teacher, she sure knew how to get on my nerves. I'm telling you! It was a little annoying.
