Ever-Present

What if God is not distant in the big moments—but present in the ordinary ones we rush past?

Ever-Present is a collection of reflective essays that explore faith through the lens of everyday life—friendship, waiting, uncertainty, change, and the quiet in-between seasons where life doesn’t feel fully resolved.

Through metaphor-rich storytelling and honest reflection, Amelia Fisher invites readers into the tension of trusting God when answers feel delayed and life feels unclear. These essays don’t offer easy conclusions—they offer presence, perspective, and a reminder that meaning is often found in the middle of it all.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. All opinions expressed are my own.

Ever-Present is a collection of 26 reflections on finding God in the mundane, everyday moments of life. Author Amelia Fisher shares her own experiences with God as her ever-present help and encourages the reader to consider how He is present in all areas of our lives.

This short book would make a wonderful high school graduation gift for the Christian young woman in your life about to set out on her own. Through simple yet encouraging illustrations of the Christian life, Fisher invites readers to reflect on what it means for God to be our ever-present Father. Even as a mom in my 30s, I found myself considering aspects of God's character in ways I hadn't thought about before. There were several chapters in which I found myself thinking, I wish someone had told me this at 18. There is a lot of wisdom in these 140 pages.

If you're looking for a brief and life-giving book for your college-aged daughter, friend, or young woman in your life, this collection of essays is definitely one worth picking up!

Truly, what a gift it is to be blessed by this book. It was such a reminder of what it means to live in this age and to be in your 20s while walking with God. It was as if Bob Goff were 22. God has truly given Amelia so much wisdom and a gift of sharing who He is with others. Amelia is such an inspiration, and this book's relatability made it easier to understand and remember who God is. If you have the chance, please read this book!!!

Amelia’s writing is like a fresh cup of morning coffee, or the first deep breath of fresh air at the beach after a long drive. Ever-Present is vulnerable and honest while reminding us of what is truly good in this world.

I finished this book back in February but I felt that I needed to come back to it. I read one chapter every night before bed when I was reading this. It changed my life by showing me a different perspective on how to live my life. This was such an amazing book!
