The reason why I didn't enjoy the story more than I did probably lies with my "bias" towards the BDSM lifestyle--I have been nothing but respectful (maybe too at times) but really this kink does not have any appeal to me.
Paige, having brought up by a disapproving, conservative mother, has a lot of baggage and self doubt. On the other hand, she is on the path to become a more independent woman. And I admire her for this development.
For a dom, Mr. Marshall (this is how Paige constantly addresses him) is a mild one. I find his treatment of Paige (patience and respect) a little out of character. Since I never found their dom/sub relationship to be demeaning for Paige's part, this story was a relatively easy read for me (I knew I would simply DNF when a story becomes unbearable).

Paige Irving a professional petsonal/executive chef, daughter of now retired bed and breakfast inn owners. Growling up she always thought that when her mother said not to associate with the "rich kids" she meant that "the help" were beneath them. She patterned her life on that mantra and became a very successful chef. Then she met billionaire Liam Marshall and became caught up in his life. This series is a romantic suspense with Paige learning lessons in truth and trust, and it pays to clarify what you are told as a kid

This was an ok four book collection of a slightly raunchy BDSM romance. Fairly mild and tame BDSM, so nothing to scare the people who merely dip their toes in the BDSM lifestyle while not so bad (ala 50 Shades) that those in the lifestyle will cringe, grab their angry mob supplies, and go on a rampage.
If I hadn't received it for free, it is unlikely that I would have read this book. It is also unlikely that I will read more from this author unless I also receive it for free.

Now short stories completed in a book, I love. Liam and Paige take you from beginning to end. You learn of their meeting, their doubts, drama, heat and happily ever after

I love that it was a continuing series. I just wish it was more detailed and longer. If you're into short hot and steamy books, then this is the book for you. I will be re-reding this box set

I loved the chemistry between Paige and Liam. They complemented each other. Paige was blackmailed into spying on Liam. She turned in the blackmailer but was blackballed for it.

Paige had no idea that when she went to cook for Liam that the entire city would black out. Turns out that Paige and Liam were walking a DELICATE line of concealing their passion for one another until a fateful night when the lights turned out and their passion was ignited.
