First things first, I did not want this story to end!! This was such a great comfort read. It truly felt like a big hug. The title is the best way to describe this story: it is soooooo sweet!!!!! I *loved* Cat with her protective nature and her strength. However, I also loved seeing Cat allowing herself to be vulnerable and let Mary comfort her. I loved the side characters, and hated a few of them (iykyk). There is so much possibility with the side characters and I want to know so much more about them: Celeste and Riley, Carmen and Isa…perhaps some further sequels?! Mira Moore takes such care in writing about medical topics, much like in Burn Protocol with emergency services and firefighting. Her writing feels immersive and I felt like I was watching a movie. I could not help but fall in love with Cat…I want more!!!

I want to thank Mira for giving me the chance to have an ARC of Sweet Heart and could read and review it before its publication. I decided to preorder a copy of the book myself, in addition to the ARC, because I want to support small indie authors like her.
I was pulled to the Cat and Marry as I can identify myself with parts of them. This is very important to me, but it will not be the same for every reader as we all have different experiences and traits.
The books has one heavy topics and I’m glad that there are warnings regarding them: “Child death, depictions of physical trauma, traumatic incidents, and explicit sexual content.”
I recommend the book to readers that like sapphic books with some spice, that show a healthy relationship without shying away from ethical problems and showing that relationships require work and communication. This was her second book she is publishing. I love them both and am looking forward to hopefully much more books.

Sweetheart by Mira Moore was, appropriately, such a sweetheart of a read. 🥰 One thing I really loved was how quickly Kat and Marys relationship develops because instead of spending 90% of the book screaming “JUST KISS ALREADY” we actually get the messy, the chemistry, the growing pains and all the trials that make you hope they make it.
Kat is the gorgeous, brilliant, broody, (emotionally locked behind 5 brick walls…. On the outside at least) but naturally had an absolute heart of gold when it comes to the people she loves. I think there’s something really relatable about a character who may not be warm and fuzzy with the entire world, but loves her people deeply. When you can see pieces of yourself in a character, the story just hits a little different.
And then there’s Mary Ugh….Mary. Fiery, takes absolutely no bullshhhh. Self destructive enough to make you wanna grab her by the shoulders and yes a complete mush. She’s confident enough to be on the verge of passing out but still has enough gusto to try and flirt with her Dr. (My kinda girl 😂) Their chemistry was “Chemistry-ing” from the start. Mira definitely checked off the spice on the Spicy scene report card with an A.
One of the things I appreciated most about Sweetheart beyond the romance, emotional moments and spice was the diabetic representation. Books talk about grid in so many forms. Losing family, friends, relationships, but we don’t often get to see what it’s like living every single day with a disability or chronic illness that requires your attention whether you feel like giving it or not. The calculations, the interruptions, the fear, frustration. The way it can weave itself into your relationships and every day life. Seeing diabetes treated as a real part of someone’s existence rather than a random character footnote meant a lot to me.
Lastly, I have to give extreme credit for all the research the author had to do to be able to write the thrilling hospital portions in the book that were so detailed and well thought out. Same can be said about Burn Protocol. All I can say is, if Mira writes, I’ll read it. 🫶🏽❤️

As someone who works in healthcare I’m always excited when I find a romance that features a healthcare provider as one of the main characters, so Cat being an ER physician immediately caught my attention. I loved how much time we actually got to spend with her in that role and that it didn’t take a background seat in the story. The way Cat and Mary meet obviously makes things a bit complicated since Kat is providing Mary care at the time, and I was curious to see how the ethical side of that would be handled. But I thought the author did a great job navigating it without brushing those concerns aside. I also really appreciated the hospital scenes in general. They felt authentic, and reflected life in healthcare. I liked that we got to see the emotional fallout Cat experienced from some of the things she dealt with as a physician. Healthcare can take a toll, and I thought that part of her character felt very real. I really enjoyed Cat and Mary together too. Their relationship definitely wasn’t the easiest or most straightforward given how they met, but I think that’s part of what made their romance so interesting. There was a lot of emotion and vulnerability between them, and I enjoyed watching them figure out what being together could actually look like. All tied up with a sweetheart of a HEA in the epilogue.

This was my first book by Mira Moore, and it certainly won’t be my last.
I love the intensity with which her characters act, work, love, and live.
It is a deeply moving love story that completely captivated me; both protagonists feel—and recognize—the attraction from the very first moment, regardless of whether they give in to it or—as in Dr. Durand’s case—initially try to fight and resist it. It is a case of instant desire, closely followed by love at first sight.
The wonderful Mary radiates a zest for life, even while battling her illness; it is precisely this situation that leads her to Cat—Catherine Durand, the Head of Trauma in the hospital.
Cat isn’t actually the one assigned to this case, but fate intervenes that day, bringing the two of them together.
Neither can forget the other, leading to decisions that will take them both by surprise.
I am fascinated by stories where love evokes a sense of "mine"—and not just in fantasy or shapeshifter tales where characters find their mates.
I experienced that very feeling here with the sweet Mary and the somewhat first icy but definitely fiery Dr. Katherina ❤️🔥

After getting a glimpse of these characters in Burn Protocol (and if you haven't read that one yet, go do it—you'll love it! 😊), I was so excited to dive into Sweet Heart. It was amazing to finally learn more about their stories, their pasts, and everything that shaped them into who they are.
Mira Moore does a fantastic job of developing her characters, giving them depth through their struggles, challenges, and personal journeys. I loved getting to connect with them on a much deeper level.
One thing I always appreciate about Mira Moore's writing is how immersive it is. It's clear how much research goes into the investigative aspects of her stories. The balance between the emotional moments and the procedural elements kept me engaged from beginning to end.
If you enjoyed Burn Protocol, this is definitely a book you don't want to miss. And if you're new to Mira Moore's books, this is another great example of why her stories are so captivating.

I received this book as an ARC and I'm so beyond happy I did 😭 I was lucky to be an ARC reader on Burn Protocol also and Mira Moore has definitely kept me a fan! And as such has put herself into one of my favourite sapphic authors to date.
Sweet Heart not only had great pacing, the flow was really good even through harder scenes. All the characters were so well rounded and believable it kept me completely immersed. I couldn't wait to keep finding out what happened next. Or wondering and thinking about what was going to happen next when I wasn't reading it!
I loved learning about both main characters especially through their initial connection all the way through to the end. I laughed with them, cried with them, wanted to punch people who messed with them (I know these are fictional characters but they don't feel like it any more) and celebrated with them. I'm both happy I read this and sad I've finished this book.
Cannot recommend Mira Moore enough if you want something romantic, with spice and a good story!
I will be waiting on the edge of my seat for her next book!

I really enjoyed this one! Cat was rude asf for the first 30–40% of the book 😂 so yeah.. definitely giving Ice Queen😬. But watching her slowly soften with Mary was so worth it. They were honestly perfect for each other, even with the obstacles that came with Cat’s job.
I also loved the Cuban representation and all the lovable secondary characters. The story has plenty of angst, some really sweet moments, and of course some spice 😏 Overall, such a sweet medical romance with just the right amount of drama!

This second novel by Mira Moore is every bit as satisfying as the first! In this book, we meet Cat, a trauma surgeon, and Mary, a writer. The circumstances surrounding their initial meeting is what drives the majority of the storyline. There are plenty of lovable secondary characters, and lots of sapphic love to fill out this medical romance. Cat and Mary are easy to like, and their story unfolds gradually and with relatively little angst. I really like the fact that Cat has Cuban roots and that is very well represented in this book.

i thought this book was so cute! breaking down walls and giving yourself a chance to love who you want w/o trying to give everything up. the characters came to life in such a beautiful way. the little spanish endearments made my heart flutter. i love mary and cat. i just wish there was a bit more spice.

Mira did an amazing job of capturing the everyday chaos of a Trauma Surgeon in a busy ER. Cat is a determined and dedicated surgeon with no time to be sidetracked by the amazingly sweet Mary. If you are looking for a feel good sapphic romance with a splash of spice this book should be added to your TBR.

I nicknamed Mira’s second book (THIS YEAR, might I add) my summer sweet treat! and O M G was it just that!! Cat and Mary who we got a sneak peek at in Burn Protocol are so swoon worthyyy you’ll be a puddle by the end!
Cat, the head of trauma surgery runs a tight ship built off of respect and keeping her mask ice cold...until Mary stumbles in needing immediate attention. The attraction is there from the start and the pages that follow are a gentle unfolding of choosing one another, finding a place of belonging, and seeing each other fully.
SweetHeart gave me ALL the feels! From watching Cat become vulnerable and allowing Mary to support her, to the energetic side characters (hoping there will be a Carmen and Isa book omggg), and the high action medical scenes to top it off!
