Kinky ABC Anthology #4

Bro Doll: Book 4 of the Kinky ABC Anthology

Rate this book
I’ve always kept my head on straight. I’m smart, popular, obviously super hot, and the bro my friends can rely on. But under all that, I have a craving I never knew existed: I want to be used. I want to shut my brain off completely and let someone else dictate exactly what I am. I never expected that a stupid challenge during a drunken game with my roommates would be the thing that made me discover a side of myself that doesn't want to think, or speak, or even be human. Now, there’s no turning back. My roommates know exactly what I need, and they won't holding back until I’m nothing but their perfect, mindless doll.

Bro Doll is the fourth book of the Kinky ABC Anthology, a collection of stand-alone stories where each letter explores a different kink. In this book, ‘D’ is for Dollification.
Each book can be read on its own.

This story's intended for a mature audience.

I’m inanimate. I’m a toy. I’m plastic. I’m silicone with two holes.

I was REALLY not expecting to have the motivation to finish this 339 page smutfest but at the 40% mark it suddenly became interesting. I thought it was going to be more endless fucking while these dudebros smirked "no homo" at each other, but then feelings and personality entered the book in the form of some emotional intelligence. I understand the hype now.
There’s a switch in me that gets very quiet sometimes. Everything slows down, goes flat, and I can just exist in that space for hours.

5 college roommates make a bet and next thing you know, Kit is going offline and in his place is the house's new sex doll. It sounds ridiculous, but I've read dollification before (even the weird internet porn where the doll is shrunk down in size etc) and that part wasn't really anything new for me. What kept me reading is that the book is genuinely hot af and somehow manages to avoid being too repetitive even though it's at least 75% smut. I struggled in the beginning with some of the descriptions (bodily fluids described as grease or fuckslime, for example 🤢) but for whatever reason those don't continue throughout the book. Even the watersports occur off page which was appreciated because Finn's character was the most unappealing for me. He was a good friend to Kit but his virgin jackrabbit technique (that somehow didn't improve 😭) was very meh. OKAY FINE it's mainly because he's the only one without a huge cock... I'll admit it 🫠).
There’s too much to catalog. Every nerve in my body is occupied. Everything is being used. Nothing left over.  My brain, which runs all the time, goes quiet to anything else other than this. And I just feel. The hands, and the mouths, and the heat, and the fullness.

Kit's really really into the doll thing, and his thought process was fun to read. The banter between the roommates felt authentically like a bunch of college-aged guys and I felt like I was losing brain cells as I read, particularly during the parts of the book where they argued if using a doll was less gay than fucking their friend Kit. That part wasn't my favourite and almost made me DNF, but I'm really glad I kept going. These characters were imbeciles- yes- but they were also loyal and open-minded. They were Consent Kings and ensured that Kit was on board and safe every step of the way. Even when they were roughly using him for literal hours, they cared about the person inside the doll. I'm glad I didn't DNF or I would've missed the sweeter parts of the story.
Reid uses the doll differently from the rest of them. I noticed that on the first day when he wrecked my ass, and made me feel between heaven and hell. It’s not like I’ve got a spreadsheet tracking the actual differences—I’m not that unhinged—but when the rhythm changes, you feel it. Reid’s style registers even when my brain is powered down. He takes his time. That’s the simplest way to put it. Walker uses me like equipment, efficient and thorough. Finn uses me like something that’s just there and convenient, which is the point. Grant goes at it rough, which, fair, that’s just Grant. Miles is slow and considerate, but in a methodical way (unless he’s high). Reid is slow because he’s paying attention.

As the quote says, the characters each have distinct personalities and use the doll in different ways. That variety held my attention throughout. Miles and his nipple fetish, Walker wanting to try out the doll's dildo, Grant's horse cock, and Reid's love for eating ass.... 🥵🥵 what can I say. Finn was... also there in the book, mostly coming in his pants I guess.
That’s what I am. A set of holes and a dick that happens to be attached to a body. It’s always a turn-on getting praised for being such a good little nothing.

The book can be easily dismissed as a worthless horny fever dream but I think there's more there if you care to look. I almost didn't and that would've been a shame. It's not going to change the world, but it's worth a read.

I would like it on record that this is decently written and there IS a storyline… I mean there’s sort of a plot. I was surprised by how endearing the romance aspect was, too. Listen let’s not talk about what me considering this book almost perfect says about my character - deal?

I’m going to let you in on a secret: I live in fear of being doxed and having people from my everyday life discover not only the backlist of what I’ve read, but my specific commentary about it.

I had a close call once at work. I mentioned to our General Counsel—who is also a voracious reader, albeit of books one can comfortably, even proudly, discuss across the office lunch table—that I use Goodreads. She immediately got excited and asked for my handle so we could share reviews.

Cue Psycho soundtrack.

I somehow deflected, but ever since then I’ve understood that this is the kind of thing one should really be worried about in the event of identity theft.

Anyway. I just read a book about dollification kink and really enjoyed it.

I think saying Bro Doll is well-written may be a bridge too far, but…kinda? It is aggressively bro, which normally I hate, but it’s also funny in a very bro-but-actually-funny way. For example:

“He’s holding a Pop-Tart halfway to his face—unfrosted, because he’s a psychopath.”

That’s so real.

My favorite scene was Walker, Kit and Reid, when Walker discovers the joys of a doll dildo. Delightful. No notes.

I do, however, have notes about hygiene, because apparently pragmatism is my curse as an MM romance reader.

Am I the only person who thinks about morning breath? Kit says Reid tastes like “cigarettes and sleep” as though this is erotic rather than a reason to get an insurmountable case of the ick. Maybe men just care less. Maybe this falls into the same category as douching, where you simply have to grant the story poetic license and assume everyone smells like sandalwood and healthy lifestyles.

And speaking of douching: I could not stop thinking about how spectacularly messy quite a bit of this would have been without a day of fasting and prep.

Romance would really be easier if I stopped smelling the farts but at this point in my life I have to accept my brain despite all its petty distractions.

I could also have done without Finn. I understand his purpose as comic relief, but there was something deeply unsexy to me about having him involved in the proceedings.

Still, I was pretty much happily rolling with all of it until Chapter 17. That was where the doll kink crossed whatever invisible line exists in my brain between well, this is certainly a thing and absolutely fucking not. I skimmed most of that chapter. I’m not trying to kink shame anybody, but I found it genuinely disturbing. It was just…a lot.

And yet, I have to respect the hell out of this author.

Because make no mistake: this was porn. Over-the-top, holy-shit-we-are-really-doing-this porn. But there was also an actual plot. Character development. Relationships I cared about. Occasionally genuinely witty dialogue. The characters had distinct personalities and their dynamics evolved.

This book managed to do things some far more “mainstream” MM romances (i.e., not straight-up erotica) don’t come close to accomplishing.

And it did all of that while maintaining previously uncharted levels of broditude.

Quite the feat.

If you think you can stomach it—and I mean that sincerely, because it is a lot—I actually recommend it.

you know the scene in swan lake where Natalie Portman stares at herself in the mirror with the giant bright red letters spelling ‘WHORE’? yeah that’s exactly how I feel.

this should be illegal when im ovulating

i need a floor is wet sign, clean up on aisle 9, police tape, the whole nine yards. fuck it bring a gurney too cause this had me gone.

“Interested is the professional term.
Down bad would be the personal one.”

Sounds about right. I wasn’t feeling the chemistry (cause there was none) until Reid came into the picture and everything changed. commence the passion and bring forth the ass-eaters.

was it meta that there is barely dialogue between the bros until Reid showed up cause Kit feels so plastic and so doll like? yes. do i think that was intentional? maybe not but i love it.

Ok so I don’t have many appropriate things to say here obviously, and it was a research 🫢
But I thought I’ve seen all sorts of depraved, crazy and filthy already and will not be surprised - I was dead wrong 🫠

I don’t even know how exactly I feel about it, because it was filthy to the borderline uncomfortable point and it made no sense, but was still stupid hot?

The number of times the word ‘bro’ was used is obscene btw.

My biggest concern though was the protection. Or the total absence of it, like the word condom made an appearance only once, with literal strangers - I would seriously DNF if it didn’t appear then.
But all the way since the beginning with 6 men it was ignored.
I mean, we don’t expect plot or for the things to be totally logical, but it’s like a basic thing, a must-have! They have girlfriends FFS!! - which is ANOTHER big concern - and go to dates, and still not even a word of protection?!!!
So that bothered me the whole time.

Oh, and constantly railing your roommate isn't cheating, did you know?
Because he doesn't move!
Oh, and also after going on it for months, they are not gay or bi. Okaaaay

Also, is this even a real thing? Can a person actually survive railing like that without a single sound or move?
I just can't really believe it 🫠

I can’t rate it properly, it’s more like 3 to me because of all these moments, and girlfriends seriously pissed me off, but again, it was hot, they were all stupid and hilarious and I had fun, and it was VERY unusual so let it be 3.5 rounded up)

I've sat on writing a review for this one. I initially thought 4 stars. But man I can't stop thinking about this book. The concept is wild and not everyone will like what they do! It's a book though, so let them be crazy 😬👀 But I loved Kit so much, I hope he's still ok and living his best life. It's very spice heavy, but i found that there was a story to tell in there. It's ultimately about self acceptance and learning that there's someone who will love you, even if you think you're unlovable. If only the epilogue went further in the future. Maybe we will see how he's doing in later books, theres a whole alphabet to explore.

Kinky books are so damn hard to rate because here’s the thing: if it isn’t your book kink, how are you even supposed to judge whether it’s hot?

The premise is so … Actually I have no words to describe it…

So you’ve got this bro. Straight dude . One day he’s lying on a couch, staring at the ceiling, refusing to move and his roommates are making stupid bets about whether they can get him to budge. Naturally, being idiots, they escalate from harmless nonsense to increasingly perverted sh*t to make him move.

Except…

He doesn’t move.

Instead, this man has the biggest sexual awakening of his life and basically goes,

“Wait… hold on… I think I like being treated like a sex doll.”*

Everyone else is standing there like, WHY IS IT THIS HOT AND WHY CANT WE STOP!

And that’s the story.

I spent the first half of this book reading with the most baffled, fascination imaginable.

What the actual f*ck is happening?

But somehow…

Somehow it worked.

For a book absolutely drowning in filthy, kinky chaos, it never felt cheap. That’s honestly impressive because this premise could’ve gone from “interesting” to “cringe” in about three pages. Specially the language can be weird at times , on purpose of course because they are all dude bros and all.

Instead, it was genuinely well written.

The pacing was great, the characters had personalities, and the whole thing was weird enough to keep me glued to the pages because I genuinely had no clue what insanity was coming next.

By around 70% I remember thinking,

“Okay, cool. This isn’t my kink at all, but it’s written hot and I’m having a surprisingly good time.”

The only thing I felt it was missing was… romance.

Because no matter how filthy a book gets, give me feelings. Give me something that’ll make me smile once the questionable life choices are put away.

And then, completely out of nowhere…

The romance showed up. And what a sweet one at that.

Not forced. Not tacked on.
I was honestly shocked by how naturally it fit.

So yes.

I picked up a book about a dude discovering his dream job is apparently being a human s*x doll, spent half of it staring at the pages in confused disbelief, and somehow finished it thinking,

”…Aww. That was actually kind of sweet.”

Attempted to DNF like 5 times.
I hate Finn. He’s just…. Gross. You know, the guy that lives on porn and has this detached view of sex? He just gave me the ick CONSTANTLY.
Dollification is a kink I’ve enjoyed reading but man was the ball dropped. I just feel like the guys lacked care and respect for Kit. Aftercare? Protection? Dolls are cared for and fed and hydrated and waited on in between scenes. It gave “weird Barbie” where you play too hard and they just stay on splits….. except it was Kit’s hole that was in a constant split.
“I’m not gay” is repeated a million times while balls deep in a man’s ass. Sure, pal.
I fucking hated the park scene. But I guess that’s what happens when 20yo dumbasses have free will 🙄
Wish we had more Reid, Miles and Walker. Wish there were more Kit and not doll Kit.
Anyways, writing was good. Lots of smut. It was pretty funny.

It's going to take me a long minute to write a review, because my head is all over the place. Didn't expect to like the characters this much or the development of the storyline because on the face of it, it appeared to be smut personified. But it isn't. The writing is good. The characters well rounded and acting realistically.

Objectively dollification is out there as a kink (for me) but as we're told not to yuck on someone's yum that's all I'll say on that. The author, through Kit sold this premise to me in a way that answered my questions about motivation, interest, logistics and safety. Bravo

The only reason I'm debating between 4 or 5 stars is the park scene.

This might be the least eloquent review I’ve ever written. Do I know what I just read? Absolutely not. Did I enjoy it? Fuck yeah.

If you’re looking for plot or literally anything resembling restraint, this is not the book for you. If, however, you’re looking for dicks, holes, and an honestly concerning amount of bodily fluids, then congratulations — you’ve hit the jackpot.

This book has holes. Those holes get filled. Then filled again. And again. Kit makes a double stuffed Oreo look empty.

Was it ridiculous? Yes. Was it filthy? Extremely. Did I have the time of my life reading it while also wondering if I should maybe log off and reconnect with nature? Also yes.

Anyway I had a great time read this book it's great I loved it

Was this kinky unfiltered pay gorn? Yes
Did I thoroughly enjoy it? Also yes

While I did come for the pay gorn and the utmost curiosity I had towards this kink I'd never heard of, I stayed for an incredibly well written book with likable unique characters, a captivating story and interesting plot developments.

I'm glad I got into this with the lowest expectations and a wide open mind, because I found myself enjoying it so much. I honestly could not put this down, I was completely enveloped into this absurd reality, I almost felt like I was there on that couch with them (I wish, let a girl dream!)

In all honesty, I thought the whole kinky part was going to freak me out or at least make me uncomfortable, however it never actually happened, because I could feel consent was written all over it. And when full consent is involved, it's really up to you and your preference, in my opinion. Kit wanted this from the very beginning, he started it all to be able to experience the fantasy he craved, and he found the right people to accompany him in this very exciting journey. And well, it certainly served as a thrilling awakening for all of them as well!

The only thing I did find weird was them always stating that they were straight and that all this craziness was "no homo" while having sex with a man for months on end? The whole "sexuality doesn't depend on who you have sex with but who you're attracted to" while CLEARLY being incredibly attracted to and aroused by the man you're having sex with... I mean 😅 We'll let that go, but it made me smile.

(Ending spoilers ahead!)

I loved loved loved that both Miles and Reid ended up catching feelings for Kit (I was rooting for them pretty much since they were introduced into the story, first Miles and then Reid). I was fascinated by both characters for different reasons and was honestly torn about which one would've fit better with Kit.

That's why I liked the throuple plot twist! Yes!!! I can't see myself ever be able to do something like that without jealousy getting in the way, but this development made so much sense for all three characters and for the openness they crave (especially Kit) and the sexual freedom they want their lives filled with.

I swear to God I was dying for Kit to be kissed, and to kiss back. To enjoy himself and be LOUD about it. Dy-ing. I was literally shaking when reading of his first kiss with Reid and then with Miles. After witnessing rough doll-mode sex, seeing Kit experience intimacy with the possibility of being open, loud and reciprocate with intention, was so refreshing and so needed - for himself and for the reader as well. I kind of breathed a sigh of relief there.

For a moment I thought the book would take a completely different turn, and lean towards a more romantic ending, but then again exclusivity wouldn't have sat right with the characters and the whole story, so I'm very satisfied with the ending.

I loved the way the author delved into kinks, the shame that lives around them, and finding a balance between having a "normal" relationship and getting to express yourself sexually the way you need and want to.

I'll seal this review with one of my favorite scenes ever: Kit experiencing sex in a new and free way for the first time ❤️
His lips seal over the spot instantly, sucking the lobe into his mouth while his tongue flicks the sensitive skin behind it. My brain whites out for a second.
"Fuck," I mutter fisting the sheets.
It's weird having the freedom to move when one of the guys is messing with me. Usually, I'd be sprawled out, letting them manhandle me however they want. But right now, I'm just Kit-wired and twitchy
, keeping my hands to myself so I don't look like some desperate virgin.
"Good?"
I nod, or try to. My body's gone lax, pliant in a way that's not doll-mode, just fucking boneless from the way Reid's touching me.
"Yeah," I say. "S'just weird. Being... awake for it."
"You like it?"
"Yeah."

I agree with many others in saying that this was surprisingly good. Yes, it was still mostly porn. Don't mistake that! It was very good porn though, imho. And about halfway through, when Reid joins the house, it gets a bit more interesting. Still mostly porn though! I loved the relationship that Kit had with each of the guys though. I liked some more than others, but it ended in a rather sweet HFN poly romance. As they're college bros, I don't expect that they'll grow old together, but it was still sweet. There was even a strangely wholesome lesson about accepting and loving someone for who they are, kinks and all. 🥰

BRO. INJECT THIS DIRECTLY INTO MY VEINS. I would give my left pinky finger to be a fly on the wall of that house on mother fuckin Game Day. Holy shit. I’m into this. Like, hardcore into this.
I loved every single one of these dudes. But the relationship between Kit, Reid, Miles and Walker was so goddamn good. I love how they never tried to change Kit, the way they still wanted him being used in doll-mode was the cherry on top of this slutty, cum filled Twinkie.

There’s just something about vulnerable men coming to terms with their sexuality that gets me. Miles having his moment had me melting! Kit expressing his feelings and wants to the others was beautiful. Walker discovering that he’s a bottom was *chefs kiss*. And everyone else uncovering their own kinks was perfection. I loved every single thing about Bro Doll. I would give ANYTHING to have gotten an epilogue further in the future.

Dollification is not really something I’d delved too deep into (or at all). But it was super interesting. The idea of being used while just completely shut down is crazy to think about. The author did an excellent job of really explaining everything that dollification entails, including the emotional side of it. I was hooked on the premise from the beginning.

Bro Doll is 99% bodily fluids, dirty talk and some of the sexiest fucking men in romance. This group of guys together were hilarious and I found myself laughing out loud several times. I throughly enjoyed the banter between them. Reading Kits thoughts while in doll mode was so fun. The dynamic between all of them at the end could not have been more perfect. 10/10 will recommend FOREVER.

I’m hooked on this ABC kink series! Super excited to jump into the rest of the series.

Romance? This is no romance, it’s a fuck fest.

Let’s start with discovering kink in a bro house situation. Our bro Kit randomly discovers he has a kink on being used as a doll as a dare. All bros/ housemates are up for this challenge. I could made up a drinking game by the amounts of “bro that’s so gay” talk, when they all share Kit. It was hot, but those dudes never cared to prep doll ..like really, it never crosses their mind that this is a important thing 🤷‍♀️ what I really hated was the free use park scene- I hated they wrote things on his skin, I hated everything that happened after that….dumb fucking idiots.
Thing finally developing as a poly romance is like 30-40 pages in the final of the book, so not really great as pacing goes.
Finally LUBE please for the love of god use that shit authors. I know we don’t need to see prepping and douching all the time, but in this whole situation was needed

4.0 stars!

Holy cow! That was a lot, but in a good way. How was that actually sweet??? Especially that ending with Kit and his boys 😭 There's actually a bit of romance here, like 1/8th of the book, but that somehow was enough for me. The confessions were adorable!!

Full marks for the smut, the hilarious banters, the chemistry, even the teensy romantic plot. Didn't like the sharing part much, though. And the fact that a couple of the guys actually had unknowing girlfriends while this was all happening, turned the experience sour for me.

This has a HFN-ish ending and I wished we'd have a proper separate book focused on the poly romantic plot. I so wanted to see more of Miles and Reid, they've become my ultimate faves. But given what we had in the previous books, I don't think that's happening soon. I'm satisfied, though not quite sated.

It was still a really interesting and exciting book to read!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a five-star smutfest, and the way I am obsessed with this book should probably be studied because the absolute F!LTH I willingly consumed had me needing to go outside and touch grass multiple times. And somehow, underneath all of that, this book had way more heart than I was prepared for.

Bro Doll by J. De Saint follows Kit, a college guy who has always been the smart, popular, dependable bro of his friend group. Then a stupid challenge during a drunken night with his roommates unlocks something in him that he didn’t even realize he wanted. Kit discovers that he loves shutting his brain off completely, giving up control, and becoming his roommates’ “doll.” And his roommates are VERY willing to help him explore that -in a non-g*y way- 😂

Now, when I tell you this is a smutfest, I mean SMUTFEST. There is very little plot happening here, but you know what??? The small amount of plot we DID get was actually engaging. I cared about Kit. I cared about his relationships with the guys. I wanted to see how this whole dynamic developed. And most importantly, this was just so freaking well written. For a book that is so heavily centered around k!nky guys, it never felt like I was reading the same scene over and over again.

But my favorite part, beyond the absolute debauchery, was Kit’s journey of realizing: this is who I am. This works for me. This makes me happy. Why should I be ashamed of it?

There’s something I genuinely loved about watching him embrace his k!nk instead of treating it like something that needed to be fixed or justified. He finds something that allows his constantly running brain to finally go quiet, and instead of changing himself to fit what society thinks he should want, he learns to accept himself completely.

This part actually explains it perfectly:

“There’s too much to catalog. Every nerve in my body is occupied. Everything is being used. Nothing left over. My brain, which runs all the time, goes quiet to anything else other than this. And I just feel.”

That is what made this more than just a collection of scorching scenes for me. Kit isn’t simply discovering what turns him on. He’s discovering something that makes him feel completely present and comfortable in himself, and I LOVED that.

Also, we need to discuss these roommates because apparently I have favorites. Miles and Reid have my entire heart. Reid especially had me GONE because there is something about the way he understands Kit and pays attention to what he needs that just hit differently. And then there’s Grant sprinkled in there being exactly my preferred flavor of nasssty. SIR, thank you for your service. 🫡

And THE SPICE???
Absolutely f’ing unhinged. F!lthy. Excessive. Ridiculous.

Five stars. No notes. I had a fantastic time.
