Second chance story. Another one of those cocky manho romances, but surprisingly I enjoyed it. Mainly bcos of the h who I respected and adored and really liked. She made the H chase her so hard. 4 stars!!

This is why indies get a bad rep

Six misspelled words during the prologue. I DNF'd before even bothering to start chapter 1. Life's too short to get this agitated. Moving on.

I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review

It is hard to write a separate review for each of the books in this series without them all ending up sounding the same. So...

What I loved about this series:
~The stories are so easy to read. They could easily be read in one sitting.
~I very much enjoyed the authors style of writing. All the books were well written.
~Throughout their books, the characters are developed well and are very likeable.
~Each situation that requires the need to hire an escort is different. You're not reading the same story multiple times.
~The further I read into the series, the more I enjoyed the books.

Book specific thoughts
My favourite!

So this is book 3 in the Beautiful Entourage series, you know the escorts that don't sleep with their clients but end up sleeping with their clients, but only after they are no longer clients. Yeah that series.

This one has a little more of a story line then the others. Not that the others are bad, but this one just makes for a more interesting escort story since it starts with a back story. So I definitely liked this one more than book 2. There isn't too much I can say about this series that wouldn't be repetitious and you all deserve better than that so I will leave you with the 3 L's...

LOVED:The new female lead. She didn't take so sh*t and her history made her a little more real and I understood why she actually needed and escort. Joey and his pathetic-ness, this should have been explored more...but I digress. Dual POV's...always a plus in my book!

LIKED: Cato, our new escort. He was okay when he wasn't acting like a girl. I liked how as much as he thought he was unforgettable he was soon put in his place.

LOATHED: Spelling errors and whole words missing. Where was the editor? When books are $5 bucks a pop this shouldn't be the reason someone dislikes a book.

So for those reasons I give this book 3 stars!! It's a good quick read that you will enjoy once you get past the editing issues.

SENSUALITY RATING: Profanity; Sexually explicit, graphic details; definitely erotica romance.

GENRE: Romance, Erotica

SETTING: New York City, modern day

CENTRAL FEMALE CHARACTER: KATARINA – runs the family winery business; does not want a boyfriend but her parents are determined to push her into a relationship with a childhood friend.

CENTRAL MALE CHARACTER: CATO – male escort, demanding, chauvinistic, a one night type of man, does not understand why two years later Katarina cannot remember him.

SYNOPSIS: Cato is frustrated when he wakes up and has yet to dismiss his one night relationship with Kat. He rolls over the never morning to find out his lady of the night is no longer in the bed with him. How dare she dismiss herself leaving only a note behind.

WHAT I LIKED: No matter what, if he thought Joey was a threat to Kat, he would tear the door down.

WHAT I DID NOT LIKE: Erotica right out of the starting gate. Macho, macho man, he gotta’ be the macho man.

OVERALL RATING: (3) stars because more story-line that book two however allow the reader an opportunity to use that imagination. Some of the steamy edge was taken out of this story-line as compared to book 2.

Please read a few quotes and a brief summary of this book on “my Main Page” of LibraryThing.com http://www.librarything.com/work/1604...

I got this lovely free copy from the lovely author in exchange for an honest review. And here it is..

description

4 stars...

I expected more from Cato's story..

I mean, he was supposed to be the "Dark" escort! And honestly, he was a lot more dark in the first two books than this one!

Also, I LOVE the banter in these books.. but, in this book, with how Cato's character was described (or rather expected to be), it just didn't fit him well.

This was definitely a "could-not-put-it-down" book.. but, after reading the first 2 books, I felt like this wasn't up to par..

Still!

It was a lovely read ;)

The third book in the beautiful entourage series...

I just loved this book! There was definetly a difference between this book and the last 2, I'd say personally it was a little heavier on the emotional side and drew me in a lot more.

It was heart breaking to watch katrina battle with her emotions, not wanting to move on from her late husband yet felling more than she bargained for with Cato. She was a strong no bullshit character who gave as good as she got.
Cato bless him was like a love sick puppy! Havin felt what it was like to be kicked aside and not liking the feeling he didn't take the first few meetings with Katrina well because she had forgot all about him! It was a little comical watching him come to the realisation that she didn't remember there one night stand or her leaving the next morning before he woke up.
There was a bit of push and pull going on which normally annoys me but the reasons behind it made me more understandable.there chemistry and banter together was great and also it's always a pleasure to hear for some old and new faces.
I also love how she was very much still a part of Ethan's family and how they cared for her deeply and wanted her to find love and happiness, it isn't often iv read a book where that happens.
I felt a little sorry for joey... I don't like what he did or how he went about it but I wouldn't want to be in his position, loving a girl your whole life who doesn't return the same feeling has to be hard.

I really am loving this series ...know on to the next;)

Found this story entertaining, enjoyable and it had laugh out loud moments.
Cato's character is quirky and out there. His a fun loving cheerful guy... Except when he is Escorting his latest client... Loved all the bickering from him.
Katarina is a strong character but hasn't moved on from her last partner even though it has been years. She is oblivious to certain things around her when it comes to her best friend Joey. If she wants her family off her back as she doesn't want to marry Joey, she is needing a boyfriend.
Prologue starts off where they meet.
Then 2 years later Cato sees her again but this time..... It's as a client.
When katarina doesn't remember Cato or the fact they have meet before that's when the storyline gets really intriguing as you can't wait to find out why that is.
When it does come out it didn't have the effect I thought it would. It made me question things like, how if time passed didn't she get better, how did she get home and her thoughts of the next morning of what she done that New Year's Eve.
But apart from the reason for katarina to not remember Cato, I did really enjoy the dialogue and characters and would recommend.

Cato and his obsession with a one night stand on New Year's Eve two years ago, is the subject of the third book in the Beautiful Entourage series.
He meets "K" in Times Square, has an amazing night of lusty sex with her and then she disappears...only to return to him as a client. Odd thing is she doesn't recognize him at all and he is angry and hurt...not what this player is used to feeling at all.
The book basically chronicles the reasons she hires him (get her parents off her case and discourage a childhood friend who wants to date her) and his attempts to figure out why she doesn't remember him just lead him to feelings of anger and frustration as he realizes he wants her as more than a client.
This book follows the same basic premise as the first two books...at times repetitive but still very entertaining and full of romantic fun.

When Cato sees a woman that he is interested on on New Year's Eve he must have her, but when she leaves him the next morning with just a note, it doesn't sit well with him and he gets a taste of his own medicine. Fate steps in a he meets Katarina again 2 yrs later. Kat doesn't remember him but he remembers her and will do anything for her to remember. Kat is not looking for a relationship but Cato doesn't give up that easily. Kat hires Cato to pretend to be her boyfriend but he feels more for her. But there is Joey who loves her too. I really enjoy this series. I love the interaction with all the characters and I love how they each give there girl a nickname. Kat deserves to be happy, will Cato be the one who she is meant to be with? I can't wait to read the next book

This book just didn't work for me. Two people meet in Times Square on New Year's Eve, connect and love is in the air...for him. She sneaks out before sun up and he is left alone not even knowing her name, except for a short note she left signed "K".

Skip to two years later, our guy is now an escort (non-prostitute kind) hired by a Katarina to pose as her boyfriend. He immediately recognizes her as the girl from New Year's Eve, she has no idea who he is. He's offended, she's oblivious as to why he is so angry. She never does recognize him until much later when he tells her (which I found to be a little strange). This book seemed to be all over the place and not very coherent at times. By the end I was fairly fed up with him, her and her psycho friend/wanna be boyfriend.

Dark Escort was such a good book about loss, grief and love of course.
I love the way Cato was clearly smitten with Katarina. They are both strong characters. It was nice to see for once, how a man can react when stood up!
Clearly if you ve never read a book from this author do it now. This serie is just soooo good!

Cato is one of the outgoing owner and escorts of Beautiful Entourage. His philosophy with women is to keep them separate from his personal life and that relationships are not for him. He met K (Red Jacket) two years ago at New Year’s Eve in Times Square for the ball drop. He and Katarina spoke and hung out a bit after the ball drop. He broke his code of not bringing any women to his apartment and had a memorable one-night-stand with her. She was based in California and was just visiting family for the holidays so it would not work out. The next day, she left him with only a note with just an initial to go with. Cato was upset with the way she treated him since he thought they had a connection.
Fast forward two years later and with Fate’s hands, Cato bumps into Red Jacket again but this time, he’s got her full name, Katarina, and needs his services.
I felt something while I held her in my arms. It originated somewhere deep inside me, and it burned my skin. It was painful, but it felt good at the same time. I was happy but I was also scared. My heard had weakened in her presence, and it was becoming harder and harder for me to keep her at a distance. I was falling for a girl who may never fall for me. She would probably hurt me like she did last time. But that didn’t stop me.
–Cato, Dark Escort

Katarina is a strong and hardworking daughter, who came back from California after getting her degree to help with the family business. Her parents own a large winery which Katarina works in. As part of continuing the family business and legacy, her parents are determined to set-up her up with a family friend’s son, Joey, who coincidentally owns a large shipping company that if combined will lead to the best outcome for both families. Katarina has constantly told her parents that although Joey is nice and handsome, she is not interested. At the same time, Joey, on the other hand, is relentless in pursuing her. She hired Cato to pose has her boyfriend until her parents and Joey accepts her singleton status. Katarina has a past that she would rather not remember after all that happened to her. It is also the reason why she couldn’t recognize Cato from their last meeting in New York since she already has experience love and loss.

The tragedy that Katarina bears is a heavy one. It is understandable for her to shut herself off from the world and focus solely on her work. It is sad that she sees relationships as more like a curse than of possible healing from the tragedy haunting her. She has decided a long time ago that she would rather be in a respected, loveless marriage instead of taking Joey, who loves her, of marriage. She sees it as a one-sided arrangement that will never have her learn to love Joey in the manner that he does. She would want to show her “unavailability” to the world by later proposing a longer-term arrangement, which I agree with Cato – isn’t the answer.
Meaningless and detached sex was the only type of flings I had. No love was ever involved. Ever. It was all I could give.
— Katarina, Dark Escort

Cato’s initial reaction, anger, and cold-shoulder treatment, to Katarina not remembering him, maybe valid because he considers her as the “one that got away” and is still haunting his thoughts. He was hostile at one point which doesn’t hold well since Katarina questioned his attitude by then but Cato refused to tell her the truth. What Jett suggested of hinting things to help Katarina remember is an even better route versus the one he first set-out. This is now giving him another chance with her. Their later interactions seem a lot better and injected with humor that it made me smile. Karina also started “relaxing” in Cato’s company, which is a big relief for readers since a lot of things started happening outside of their “working relationship” by then.
His reaction to her giving up on finding “the one” and contracting Cato to be a “forever stand-in husband” are warning signs that Katarina has been hurt very badly or suffered immense heartbreak.

I love Cato’s unending patience, humor, flirtatiousness with Katarina. It may seem cheesy or even gearing towards juvenile but it somehow works for his jokester personae. It made the story believable – that he would do everything in his power to win and fight for Katarina. I like the tribute or the approval Katarina got at the end that made her trust her heart and gives in to the love that she gets a second chance on. I love how it all ended.

This was my least favorite and I don't think I'll continue the series because of it. The characters had no depth, and this plot could have gotten very deep. The first two books had more background and growth - this felt rushed. I also wasn't able to push the button as much... A winery 20 minutes from Manhattan? And they're within walking distance of Times Square? No chance! If I hadn't lived in NYC, maybe I wouldn't be bothered, but the lack of details and blatant inaccuracies are hard for me.

It's not unrealistic for someone to marry young at 18, but her husband would have had to be several years older than her to be an E5. And he was friends with Joey? I have been trying to figure out how old these characters were supposed to be to be, and mid-20s is disappointing. I guess I'm getting old!

I know it's just fluff, but I want to read things based in reality and that are consistent! I have the other two books already downloaded, so I may just power through...

Also, I take it she lied about where she lived? And another thing, NYC is a large, large city, but the world is small! They must run into clients all the time. I would think the process would need to be more regulated... Anyway...

Alright, I got about halfway through the first chapter of Jett's book and I can't do it. The plot's the same - well, this one seems a tad different - but it's another attractive man who can't take any hits to his vanity... Rhett and Troy had some depth! It appears the formula can't last a whole series.

It was a pretty decent read for the type of novel this is. Definitely on the 3 star track. This is the only book in the series I've read, but I'm guessing the others are probably just more of the same.

What dropped this down to a 2-star (and probably should have been a 1-star) is that the male lead about 60% or so in suddenly turned into this controlling douche. Then it got to be in almost abuse territory around maybe 80% or so? Where the "I'm not asking you, I'm telling you" was no longer funny and sexy but scary and unhealthy.

At least for me, that's when I noticed it. But I suppose the signs were there early on, but the reasoning and general storyline had me over looking it.

If a mean, controlling and manipulative male lead is not your thing, definitely stay away from this.

Sweet romance

Awh this was sweet and tender. Characters and dialogue were good and the storyline OK.
There was a few misplaced words and perhaps a proof reader should have gone through this, despite this it didn't effect the story too much and you can guess what the author was trying to convey.
Loved it, it was sweet and sentimental, everyone was super nice apart from one guy who in the end is just as nice.
A very sweet romance.

I loved everything about Cato except him being an ass to Katarina. She was so drunk she doesn't remember their one night stand, big woop. He's himself admitted that he's snuck out of womens apartments multiple times without remorse. But now the shoe is on the other foot and he cant deal. He said such awful things to her, made her cry - I did not like his character at all. Eventually when he gets over himself the book pick up, but still.

Cato and Katerina

Cato, River and Jett are the 3 single guys now. So they go out to pick up women together. So for NYE the 3 decide to go out to Time Square to find their women for the night. Only Cato wasn’t prepared for the experience.
Katerina is a successful business woman that is trying to out run her family and their push for the best friends son on her.

I felt these two characters were extremely immature and I was not a big fan of them. Katrina‘s unwillingness to have another relationship just because her husband died was a stupid plot. Plus she didn’t remember anything about a one night stand because she was drunk? Lame. Lots of spelling and grammar errors. My least favorite in the series so far.

I really love an escort story that has almost nothing to do with sex. There was a real story line and great characters. I loved that she was a hot mess but never admitted it and he was an alpha male extraordinaire. He was able to pull her out of her negative thoughts and help her move on.

There were a Few spelling errors, but overall, it was a good story.

Man he got a piece of himself on New Years and it was so meant to be bringing them face to face again. She was in mornin yet and lots of alcohol. So glad Joey didn't ruin things for them. Cato could of been a little nicer in the beginning but I get it. He was hurt. Can't wait to see what their future holds

Cato and Katarina

There aren't any clues whatsoever as to why Katarina can't and doesn't remember her night with Cato. Other than that, their story is fun and sweet. And I enjoy seeing Rhett and As pen and Troy and Harper again.
