More of the same - for better or worse
This book doubles down on the things that made the first book good fun and also a little annoying (to me, at least). It's far more fun than annoying, and if you enjoyed the first book, you'll more than likely enjoy this one too.
Some of the humour wasn't quite to my taste, and some of the climactic moments just didn't land as well as I'd hoped, but the characters are likeable, the setting is interesting and the story does what it does pretty well.

I really enjoyed this sequel to the first book in the series. The book starts off with the MC having 2 lovers (Peach and Rey), and ends with 3, with a 4th LI introduced.
Rey, LI #2 and the woman on the cover, is a scene stealer. While she's over the top in her "weebness", she's also aware of that fact and doesn't take her weebness seriously. She's great because so much of the "holy bible" dedicated to the MC's words of wisdom (random movie quotes and song lyrics thrown together and often make little sense) she fully understands the source of, just as the reader should. And that makes her losing it in laughter all the more enjoyable, triggering a sympathetic response from the reader. Her reactions to situations had me laughing out loud right along with her.
LI #3 is just ok. She doesn't do much for me, and her background means the MC is again putting no effort into getting with her. Only LI #2 (Rey) made the MC work for it, and yet it was still a foregone conclusion before things even started. And LI #4 is already plotting how she can end up his lover, so again no effort on his part.
I do wish the author would move away from each LI being a virgin at the point where they and the MC finally have sex. Especially because every single one of them have bellowed at the top of their lungs just about every cheesy porn star line you can think of. That behavior has actually been a turn-off to me, as it's so contrived it makes the scene feel forced.
Still, I very much look forward to book 3.

Better than the first
This whole book is a riot, I don't if it just really goes with my sense of humor or what but I laughed out loud so many times in this book. The characters are so much fun. The spice is amazing, and the story is great and wholesome. Do yourself a favor and read it now.

This book is really, really long. By that, I mean it got really boring. I guess there's a plot, but it's subverted by too many really long smut and training sessions. And those are separated by chapters from non-MC characters.

Very good book
This is a fine light fantasy adventure novel. It is well written and edited. I especially like the priestess. I anxiously await the author's next novel.
