Nadine doesn’t like baseball but what she does love is the energy of being part of the crowd. Besides soaking up some vitamin D and chugging too many beers, where else can you eat hot dogs without a care in the world? Realistically anywhere, free will exists and as an artist and sex worker she lives her life whimsically. Freshly single, Nadine goes to a game not only to take a job at First Base Stadium but to indulge in some day drinking. Come to find out there was a better wiener out there for her all along.
Ballpark Frank is Aria Mazes debut novella into Sentient Object Romance and it is sure to be a wild ride. It is not a sports romance.
Aria Maze lives in Florida with their husband and their two rambunctious kitties. She spends her days avoiding the sunlight, drinking way too many energy drinks, and writing sweet but spicy monster romance. Though she has plans to dabble in a variety of genres, non-human romance has their heart. Author of Finding His Hen, a duck shifter romance, you truly don’t know what she has coming next. Honestly, neither does she.
Did I ever think I would be sobbing over a very hot, Hot Dog Man? Absolutely not!!! But here I am! Seriously, whatever genre Aria decides to write she knocks out of the park!!! This might be her first SOR but it has to be one of my favorites to exist! Our main characters Frankie & Nadine are a match made in heaven, or fate, whatever you believe in!🤭 Nadine is an absolute fiend for a giant meat-stick and she just found her endless supply of Grade A Beef. Frankie is just so caring, hopeful, deserving and is full of mini corn dogs; so yeah why wouldn’t she adore him?!! Aria put so much emotional depth into this wild ride of a book and I just cannot wait to see what else she has in store for us!
I’m so thankful I got to read this story early! Happy release day to @libraryofmaze!! BALLPARK FRANK is Aria’s debut sentient object romance, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park!! Nadine , our confident, sexy, badass FMC, gets a gig at her local baseball team’s stadium. She’s always down for dog sucking season, but little does she know, it’s going to become quite literal for her this year! Shy MMC Frank isn’t gonna know what bit, ahh, I mean hit, him! Their meeting and interactions are everything !!This story is so insanely wonderful, funny, and hot. There’s even way more than either was prepared for.. emotions?! Let’s just all find out! Grab this on KU or right from Aria’s site!
Thank you BookSirens and Aria herself for this ARC!
I don't know what I just read, but I read it in one sitting and that doesn't happen often anymore... That image also took me out... 🤣 I highly enjoyed this read. It's fast paced, no nonsense and a fun little read. I might actually want this book on my shelves...
What I do hope is that the author does send this to an editor or edits it herself, because it was a pain to read. Weird sentence structures, typos, wrongly used words, no comma's where one is needed and just sentences that didn't make sense in the way they were written.
This was selected for our monthly book club read. I was excited to read this as it's very different to what I would normally go for!
I was curious with the concept of this book, but I think it was too out there for me. I liked Frank, but their relationship felt rushed and I'm not a big fan of the instalove trope.
2.75 ⭐ This book is part of the August reads in the book club I am in. I definitely had a lot of fun reading and I absolutely love Aria's writing style. I felt so sorry for Frankie, the poor dude or maybe hot dog now...? Anyway, he just wants to be loved! Although it was a fun read, personally I didn't like a lot of elements in the book. But they are more personal/preferences for example I am not a big fan of insta love & I don't like being told about what is happening in the story, I rather experience it alongside the characters. Though I love how unhinged this book was and I will be looking more in Aria's other books because I have dived into the rabbit hole and I am going to explore a bit more!
This was such a fun dive into the sentient object world. Nadine has a thing for hot dogs and loves to hang out at First Base Stadium. What happens after a long day at the ball park, full of beer and glizzys? Some raw hot dog action, complete with an array of manly meat sticks and saucy toppings. But Frank and Nadine go deeper than that, and this has emotional undertones which I was unprepared for! Gimmie dem buns, I'm ready for more!
I enjoyed this book. It's was um, different! I'm the best way of course! It was so absurdly out there that I couldn't put it down. My only issue is that I would have loved if the mmc could shift back to his human form. That was a huge disappointment that he couldn't. I honestly am extremely disappointed this didn't happen. And it's took away the interest in the book for me when this didn't happen.
🌭⭐️ A Frankly Fantastic Read ⭐️🌭 This was such a fun, lighthearted read! I picked it up expecting something cute, and it absolutely delivered. The humor had me smiling the whole way through, and I found myself way more invested than I expected. It was the perfect palate cleanser between heavier books. It was quick, entertaining, and full of charm. I relished every page and definitely wouldn’t mind grabbing another helping. I’d definitely recommend this one!
I thought the concept was good, I would have liked for the book to go full throttle unhinged. I feel like it was teetering on unhinged and love story. The concept of a 7ft tall hotdog man who only survives off of hotdogs, has a regenerating hotdog peen, and comes ketchup is already completely unhinged so the insta-love angle felt a bit forced. ⭐️ 🌶️🌶️
Ballpark Frank is a refreshingly original and delightfully unconventional novella that embraces humor, creativity, and unexpected romance in a way that is impossible to forget. Aria Maze introduces readers to a story that is playful, imaginative, and completely unlike the typical romance, offering a unique reading experience that celebrates individuality and the joy of embracing life's surprises.
This book was chosen for my bookclub for next month and I couldn’t wait until then to read it so here I am! This book was great, so fun, had me laughing out loud. It was also quite wholesome. Excited to read more of Aria’s work.
This is a new go-to summer read! Especially if you plan to spend anytime at the ballpark ! ⚾️🌭 Aria is one of my insta-buy authors. This fun and deliciously spicy romance was such a page turner,I had to sit extra close to the AC when reading. 🥵🥵🥵
This is pretty bonkers! Nadine is a total badass and metaphorical goddess. Frank is a little unusual but has certain attributes that help him meat 😏 Nadine’s needs. Aria Maze has a heck of an imagination!
** I received an eARC from BookSirens and am voluntarily leaving an honest review. **
The way I devoured this book, and still ate hot dogs for dinner with a straight face afterwards🤭 Because what do you mean HI's mini 🌭 varies in size?? And what do you mean the end of this very much made new question how many mini corn dogs one can fit into a certain hole??😳😮💨 New parts of my brain were definitely unlocked and I'm not upset by it😂
3.5 sausages from me. This book was a quick fun read. Nadine really knew how to work his little chipolata sausage. Frank and Nadine were so funny but it was quite a sweet story. Nadine helped Frank through some personal thoughts and feelings and of course her meathead was very appreciative.
