Landan Almeric is forgotten by everyone at the estate besides his grandmother, forced to languish in the pits of landscaping hell. Though originally left with mess to make order of, Landan actually enjoys turning the shed into his private workshop and building what’s needed… That’s the part he’s good at after all. It’s the damn mowing he hates.
Taylor Sethos joined the blessed knives project, but has too many other responsibilities to be the Malfinn Lundberg’s blacksmith apprentice. Besides, the guy already has someone in mind. Taylor just has to go pick him up for the interview—while keeping his hands to himself because Landan is tempting enough to break the “no touching the virgins” rule for.
After one hot night, Taylor’s morality blows everything they might have had and crushes Landan. But fate is too cruel to let that be the end of it. Will the paths their changing lives are moving towards pull them further apart or can they come back together with the help of interfering friends?
Anyone can call through the cracks, even in a place filled with angels. Thankfully, fate always has a hand in play, even while keeping its cards close to its chest. Fated mates and true love will always find a way.

Summary: With all that crazy stuff happening at the compound, it wasn't that surprising how Landan was overlooked in his menial job as grounds keeper. Landan understood that, but it didn't kame him feel feel any better after he wasn't given any help when he asked. His life had been hell with his parents and things didn't get much better when he arrived at the compound. His life began to look up when he catches the eye of Taylor, a hell hound, but when Taylor changed his mind about Landan things turned around quickly. Landan didn't understand was that hounds spent their lives looking for the one mate they would spend the rest of their lives with. Landan's history of rejection made him feel worse about what happened. I enjoyed every moment as the characters worked to unwind the many issues they encountered.
I say it with every new episode in this series, but it get better and better. Landan has always been ignored, forgotten. I have felt that in my life, and I really connected with him. I got why he felt the way he did, I am like that too. Taylor felt the pull to Landan from the first time he saw him. When he makes a judgment call without talking it over with Landan, things really deteriate. Then another wrinkle in their story presents itself and I had tears in my eyes. I felt for both of them. Love when a book makes me tear up.
Very good. Landon kind of started out a little whiny but he soon leveled off and became likeable. In this book we begin to mate a new set of brothers since the Finn/Lundberg brothers are all mated we are now onto a new family, whose last name I can't remember. This set of brothers are not as old as the Finn brothers are. I liked the uniqueness of how Taylor realized Landon was his mate. Oh and BTW this couple has AMAZING sex! Like totally enviable!
Just like the rest of this series, I love these books. The characters are varied and memorable, the stories fun to read as well as hot. Definitely a series worth reading!
