As an avid reader of Donna Fletcher’s stories, I think I may have a new top 10 favorite couple in Bria and Kaelan! I was already excited for this new Scottish historical romantasy series after the first book, and this one did not disappoint.

There’s something so special about a comfort healer… she may not be a physical healer, but it's magical how she helps heal others emotionally and brings peace to those around her. Bria and Kaelan’s bond felt like more than fate; it had that instant spark, but also unfolded slowly.
🌿“At least when I am with you, I feel safe, protected, and I don’t want to leave your side.”
Their connection felt natural and easy to believe, and I enjoyed watching them face challenges side by side. The journey through Driochmor was full of magic, mystery, trolls, witches, and hidden secrets that made the world-building so fascinating. It all felt so vivid and alive, like you could easily step right into it.

There were moments of humor, danger, and just the right touch of romance to keep things sweet and swoony. That ending? I’m already ready for the next book.

This time, we revisit the forbidden land of Driochmor, where magic runs free, whether for good or evil. It is here that the comfort healer, Bria, and the Northlander, Kaelan, uncover secrets, magic, and love.
Bria was a relatable character. There was a quiet strength within her that she didn't fully recognize until she left the safety of her home. As she continued her journey to Driochmor, she grew stronger while remaining true to herself and her beliefs. She was generous with her gift, even to trolls who had initially meant them harm.
The mystery surrounding Kaelan is what drives the story. Who was he? Why did he want to go to Driochmor? What was his connection to the mysterious beast? Each question unraveled new truths as the story progressed, and amid the discoveries, Bria and Kaelan found love in a magical and mysterious land.
The story was packed with adventure, danger, mystery, and discovery, from the moment they entered the forbidden land to their journey to meet the King of Scotara. Every turn of the page left me wanting to uncover more. Overall, Whispers of a Healer was a satisfying second installment and a fitting continuation of the series. I can't wait to read the next book.

Bria is a comfort healer who is very content with the way things are in her life. Kaelan is a warrior with a lot of secrets. When he shows up in Bria’s village hurt a very unusual bond is formed between them. Bria has lots of questions that Kaelan is not really to answer. They go on a journey that has her asking more questions but the answers are very slow to come. The one thing she is sure of is that Kaelan will protect her no matter what.
I loved this couple! Their road to happy ever after was in a way quiet although a lot of scary things happened during their journey. The story was so very well written, and the plot was amazing. The description of the villages, and the journey through the dark forest was written with such detail that everything was so vivid to the reader. I enjoyed getting to know the secondary characters that added so much to the story. If you enjoy romance with a bit of magic, a funny little fairy and some bad thrown in for good measure this story is for you! I highly recommend books 1 and 2 in this series.

Gripping, Fantasy, Romance Adventure:
This story grabbed me from the first page,
The tension being very high in this Romantasy story which continues throughout and even gets much more intense as the story progresses.
The romance parts of this story grabbed at my heart. I loved Kaelan; man, or beast.
Bria a calming healer was perfect and discovering her past was quite revelation for all.
We are introduced to many creatures such as a troll, a beast, the hunters. several different realms, fairies, a king, and so much more.
I usually don't read Romantasy stories, but I enjoy Ms. Fletchers writing very much and I was not disappointed with this delightful adventure.

What a fantastic read!! I couldn't put it down, but then I expected nothing less. The first book in this new Romantasy trilogy was amazing, and this one might just be better. And it only made me wish the final book was coming out tomorrow.. LOL! If you're a big fan of historical romantasy or romances set in the Highlands, then this book, this trilogy is something you definitely want to read.. especially if you need to lighten things up just a little after reading so many dark romantasies in a row. Now that this boo doesn't have plenty of drama, danger, action.. but angst is dialed down a bit, making for a bit of a lighter read. I hope you take a chance and check it out! You won't regret it!

Kaelan knows as soon as Bria touches him that she is his fated mated. He just had to wait until Bria came to the same conclusion. As Kaelan’s mission takes him into Driochmor

Another awesome book by Donna Fletcher. Bria a comfort healer and Kaelan a Northland Warrior ( with a secret ) enbark on a journey thru the forbidden land of Driochmor ( a land of magic ). They find they share a deep bond with each other and they have to fight the evil that is after them. Please hurry up and get Book 3 out as I can't wait to see how the story unfolds.

This is book two of the series. Once again, Donna Fletcher delivers another hit story. This combines historical romance with the paranormal. I enjoyed the story. I cannot wait until the third one to see how it will be resolved. Highly recommend all of Donna’s books. Thank you for the ARC.
