This was a quick read but I am loving the 4R Ink series. The characters are amazing and their sizzling romances. All of Cassi's books are amazing. In this book Sierra and Royal are thrown together and its hot.

I thoroughly enjoyed Royal’s story, but I do wish the 4R Ink family had made more of an appearance in this one like they did in the other books.

They are step siblings with a score to settle. Then the dynamic shifts. Now the enemies are embracing.

This quickly paced read was very enjoyable. I thought Royal and Sierra were easy to like and that their attraction and chemistry was obvious. The steam and forbidden edge were perfect.

Sierra and Royal seekers of the truth—no matter how much it might hurt...
Sierra Thorne comes from a wealthy family, but she isn't the stereotype of a spoiled rich girl. She's bound and determined to find why her father was murdered and who did it. She's now in charge of her father's company, and she's discovered some disturbing information concerning some dealings he had with Marco—things that made him back out of some deals shortly before he died. Then her mother announces she's getting married again. To her horror, her number one suspect will soon be her stepfather!
Royal Madera has the ability to make everyone feel as if they're the center of his attention. According to his father, Marco, he works at a tattoo parlor as a hobby, and his rebellion against him. He has the reputation of being a playboy, and the tabloids have him linked to a new woman in each new edition. Supposedly this is why his father favors Royal's older brother, Riccardo.
The mansion he was raised in was more of a gilded prison where appearances were everything and obedience was valued over love. He's learned that when his father summons him, it behooves him to obey. And as much as he's enjoying his conversation with Sierra, he knows it's time to head to his father's house.
There he's greeted by his brother, Riccardo. Although they grew up together and witnessed how colder and colder their father became after the death of their mother, Riccardo was able to accept and adapt when he was groomed to one day take over their father's business while Royal rebelled. He spends his days at 4R Ink tattooing and his nights watching video surveillance while plotting with his three partners as they plan to punish the untouchables who are accustomed to getting away with their heinous crimes.
Now, four months later, he's been summoned to his father's home. It must be something important since his extended family is also there. He's shocked to see that Sierra and her mother are in attendance. He can tell that Sierra is on edge while her mother isn't. This is the night their parents announce their upcoming wedding. It's harder to tell which one of them was more blindsided.
Later that night she was standing in Marco's study looking out the window trying to come to terms with this engagement announcement when Royal entered. What he doesn't know is that she believes that Marco is responsible for killing her father. Will she think that he or Riccardo was involved? One thing is certain: he has to solve this question of his father's involvement...but what is Sierra correct?

She came looking for the truth and found herself falling for the enemy’s son.
Sierra is reeling when her mother announces she’s marrying Marco Madera, the man Sierra suspects is connected to her father’s death. The last thing she needs is Marco’s charming son getting under her skin. But Royal sees through her guarded surface, pushes her boundaries, and makes keeping her distance harder every time they’re together.
Royal has spent years hiding behind wealth, charm, and a playboy reputation that keeps people from looking closer. Sierra fascinates him because she challenges him, sees more than he wants her to, and makes him crave something more permanent than an easy affair. Their chemistry turns physical fast, but the deeper they fall, the harder it becomes to separate desire from trust, vulnerability, and need.
They’re both keeping secrets that could fracture them. Sierra’s search for answers reaches into Royal’s family, while Royal’s hidden life reveals a version of him she never expected. When the truth finally surfaces, attraction isn’t enough. They have to decide whether the intimacy between them can survive betrayal, fear, and what they’ve hidden.
Sierra starts guarded, suspicious, and determined to stay in control, but Royal draws out her vulnerability, sexual confidence, and willingness to trust. Royal sheds the polished flirtation that keeps everyone at a distance and becomes possessive, protective, and emotionally invested. What begins as teasing hostility and forbidden attraction grows into an intense sexual bond where power, trust, and surrender blur together.
An ultra-steamy, forbidden, enemies to lovers, stepsibling romantic suspense with billionaire glamour, secret vigilantes, possessive devotion, mutual deception, and found family. It’s about two guarded people falling hard beneath the masks, breaking when the truth comes out, and choosing whether love can survive the parts of each other that are hardest to accept.
The Elevator Pitch: A guarded heiress investigating her father’s death is pulled toward the charming son of the man she suspects, only to discover that both of them are hiding lives far darker than either expected. Their forbidden attraction turns into something fierce and deeply personal, but trust fractures when secrets, family corruption, and moral compromise collide. To hold on to each other, they’ll have to decide whether love can survive the truth about who they really are.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🖤🔥 Forbidden Romance + Secrets + A Morally Gray Vigilante Hero! 🖤❤️🔥
I absolutely loved Owned by Royal! Royal and Sierra both completely misjudge each other in the beginning, and I loved watching all those assumptions fall apart as they discovered who the other person really was. Add in a forbidden stepsibling romance, a murder mystery, secrets, and the morally gray world of 4R Ink, and I was hooked! 😍🔥
Sierra was definitely more than the spoiled society princess Royal expected. She’s hiding so much beneath that carefully maintained image, including the fact that she’s trying to uncover the truth about her father’s murder. When her mother announces she’s marrying Sierra’s number-one suspect, things get VERY complicated—especially when that man’s son is Royal. 😳🖤
Royal surprised me too. Sierra assumes he’s just another shallow rich playboy, but there’s much more hiding beneath his public persona. I loved watching these two peel back each other’s layers and realize how much they actually have in common. ❤️
And the chemistry! 🔥🔥 Royal pushing Sierra’s boundaries while falling harder and harder for the woman underneath the facade was so good. Their parents’ engagement makes their attraction completely inconvenient and forbidden, but that certainly isn’t enough to keep them apart. 😂❤️🔥
The secrets added another level because Sierra isn’t getting close to Royal for entirely innocent reasons. She’s investigating his father, and you just know that truth eventually has to explode. I couldn’t wait to see what would happen when Royal discovered everything she’d been hiding and whether their relationship could survive it. 👀
I also really enjoyed the vigilante aspect of 4R Ink. These aren’t perfect heroes—they’re possessive, angry, morally gray men willing to do what the justice system won’t. Royal fits perfectly into that world, especially when it comes to fighting for the woman he loves. 🖤
Forbidden stepsibling romance, enemies-to-lovers vibes, hidden identities, murder mystery, family secrets, vigilante justice, a possessive hero, and plenty of twists—Owned by Royal had so much going on, and I loved it!
Absolutely 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

Book 3 in the 4R Ink series and is Royal and Sierra's story.
And once again another quick quirky heat filled novella to fill in a couple of hours of your day.
If you want a quick romance read with a bit of drama thrown in then @CassiHart is your girl.
Royal has always taken a back seat in the family business. He has allowed his older brother Riccardo to shadow his father and learn all about the family business.
As one of the 4 men at 4R Ink he finds his life is fulfilled by being the vigilante to bring down hard core criminals that seem to elude the justice system.
He did not expect that his father would soon be on their hit list.
At one of the many charity functions that his father insists both he and Riccardo need to attend, he runs into Sierra.
She piques his attention. She is pretty and doesn't really give off the vibe as spoilt little princess that has followed her where ever she goes!
After a "near kiss" moment, he cannot get her off his mind.
Sierra, on the other hand, has decided that Royal definitely lives up to his playboy name.
When they nearly kissed and his phone interrupts them, he bids her goodnight and leaves!
Yeh, no, she was having nothing to do with him!
But being forced in being close together as his father and her mother become engaged, they soon find themselves learning about the other.
He likes what he sees and hears from her, as she does with him.
Chemistry flares and soon those hot smutty spicy scenes that Cassi is renowned to write become the norm for Sierra and Royal.
Both are keeping secrets, and who gets found out first?
It send their relationship spiralling, and Royal decides to do some of his own digging.
After all that is what the 4R's behind the Tattoo shop, that they use as a front for their activities in the basement are all about!
Drama leads to both Sierra and Royal having their eyes opened in totally different ways, but as with all Cassi books, she does end on a HEA, and this epilogue does not disappoint!

A mystery to be solved, a watchful half-brother and a forbidden romance full of secrets, dark justice and sizzling passion.
Somewhat dark, this short novel of contemporary romance and suspense is packed with morally ambiguous vigilantes, a mystery investigation and forbidden passion behind closed doors.
The plot follows Sierra, a virgin labelled a ‘society princess’ who is actually harbouring deep secrets whilst trying to solve her father’s murder.
Things get complicated when her mother announces her engagement to the prime suspect in the crime: Royal’s father.
Forced to get close to her new stepbrother to investigate, Sierra discovers that Royal is not the superficial playboy he appeared to be, but a possessive man who is part of the vigilante group 4R Ink (tattoo artists by day who mete out their own justice by night, as in previous books). As the attraction between them explodes, hidden truths come to light, forcing Royal to fight tooth and nail to claim and protect his stepsister.
What begins as an undercover investigation driven by a thirst for justice and the murder of Sierra’s father quickly transforms into a highly erotic, forbidden and intense romance, where Royal’s most protective and dark side becomes her greatest salvation.
Ideal for those who love vigilante heroes, families brought together in tattoo studios, love-at-first-sight romances and scenes packed with very explicit moments; it’s absolutely perfect if you enjoy step-sibling romances, possessive alpha heroes and crime thrillers.

Cassi Hart had me hooked from the beginning with the dangerous attraction between Sierra and Royal and the secrets standing between them. Sierra is not simply falling for a handsome billionaire. She is trying to uncover the truth about her father's death while her mother is preparing to marry the very man she suspects is responsible. That made every moment between Sierra and Royal feel exciting because there is always something bigger hiding underneath their attraction. Royal was easily my favorite part of the book. Behind the confident playboy image is a man with a much more serious side and I loved seeing Sierra slowly discover the person beneath the charm. Their chemistry is intense but what made their relationship work for me was the emotional connection that gradually grows underneath all that heat. I also enjoyed the 4R Ink family because their friendship and loyalty give the story a sense of warmth whenever the tension gets heavy. The secrets surrounding Marco kept me curious and the moment Sierra finally has to choose between protecting the truth and protecting the man she loves brought everything together beautifully. I especially liked that the story did not make love erase the pain of the past. Sierra and Royal have to face betrayal, forgiveness and some very difficult truths before they can truly move forward. By the end I was smiling at how far they had come. If you enjoy steamy romance, powerful families, dangerous secrets, protective heroes and a heroine who refuses to stop searching for answers, this one is very easy to get pulled into.

I really enjoyed Owned by the Royal! This was one of those books that pulled me in pretty quickly, and I found myself wanting to keep reading to see where the relationship would go. I really liked the chemistry between the characters, especially the tension and all the emotions between them. Their relationship definitely wasn’t simple, which made it more interesting to watch everything unfold.
The royal side of the story was another thing I enjoyed. It added a fun twist and gave the romance a little something extra. I liked getting caught up in all the drama, secrets, and complicated situations that came with being involved with royalty. There were definitely times when the characters frustrated me, but in a good way because it made me more invested in their story.
I also enjoyed seeing the characters grow throughout the book. There were plenty of emotional moments, sweet moments, and enough drama to keep things interesting without making the story feel boring. The chemistry between the characters really stood out to me, and I liked watching their feelings develop as they got to know each other better.
Overall, Owned by the Royal was a fun and entertaining romance that kept me interested from beginning to end. I enjoyed the royal setting, the relationship, the drama, and the emotional moments. If you like royal romances with plenty of chemistry, tension, and a little bit of drama, I definitely recommend giving this one a read!.

I absolutely loved this book. It takes a different turn. A bit of a mystery meets hot bedroom activities. Wealth meets wealth and neither are as they seem. Royal comes from money, but would rather just be known as a “playboy”. His real life is at the tattoo parlor that he owns with 3 of his college buddies. It makes him happy and he can be himself. He’s really good at it but his father sees it as a hobby rather than what Royal really enjoys. Sierra is alone with her mother now that her father was killed in a robbery. Royal and Sierra see each other at the society gatherings. Usually for a charity that the wealthy spend money on just to be seen. This is where our story starts. They see each other across the room. As usual, Royal has a gathering of women surrounding him, vying for his attention. He laughs and smiles as is expected of him. Sierra can make small talk with anyone. Royal keeps looking at his phone and finally excuses himself. He leaves and Sierra follows him. He “catches” her in the hall. The next gala is to announce the engagement of Royal’s father and Sierra’s mother. What?!? Sierra knows that her father’s murder wasn’t just a burglary gone wrong. She is gathering evidence as she believes that Royal’s father was behind the murder. Can she let Royal in on her secret after they become involved? Can Royal let her in on what really happens at the tattoo parlor after hours? HEA. Part 3of the series but is easily read as a stand alone.

A Dark, Addictive Forbidden Romance with Secrets That Hit Hard
Owned by Royal is a fast, twisty addition to the 4R Ink series, and I loved how quickly the tension between Royal and Sierra snaps into place. Their enemies‑to‑lovers dynamic feels sharp from the start—both of them convinced they know exactly who the other is, only to realize they’ve been wrong in all the most interesting ways. Royal’s shift from dismissive to completely enthralled is one of the best parts of the book, and Sierra’s mix of strength, fear, and determination makes her a heroine you root for immediately.
The family drama adds a great layer of suspense. Sierra trying to solve her father’s murder while being forced into proximity with the man she suspects gives the romance a constant hum of danger. And when Royal finally sees the real her, the emotional payoff feels earned. Their secrets collide in a way that’s messy, intense, and very on‑brand for this series.
If anything, I would’ve liked just a touch more time sitting with the fallout of Sierra’s reveal, but the pacing keeps the story tight and compulsively readable.
Overall, this is a steamy, forbidden, morally‑gray romance with high stakes, strong chemistry, and two characters who fall hard even when they shouldn’t. A gripping installment in the 4R Ink world.

Sierra has been trying to prove that Royal’s father, Marco, murdered her father. Now Marco is marrying her mother, and she has a limited amount of time to break them up before her mother ends up dead, because she suspects that Marco murdered his previous wife, too.
Royal plays the part of the carefree rich guy, but he’s also a critical part of the work that 4R Ink does in the shadows. Yes, they’re vigilantes, but they only target the people who have already escaped justice. When he first sees Sierra, he’s gone for her in an instant. Little do they know how much each of them are hiding from the other.
The relationship between these two starts up fast, despite neither of them fully trusting the other. But as they become closer, who will divulge their secrets first?
This is a steamy book, and man, there is a lot of steam. Not a complaint, by any means. Just an observation. Royal and Sierra get pretty deep in the physical expression of their love, but they can’t hide their secrets forever. I find it interesting that Royal’s older brother, Riccardo, is actually all for the relationship, and during a small third-act breakup, helps his little brother to see things from a different perspective.
Another great happy ending, and justice gets served, not by the legal system, but by the men who go after those who never got convicted. Get the book and enjoy.

Royal and Sierra
This is another short but delightful story within the series. It’s time for Royal, the hacker of the bunch, to get his HEA. Royal comes from a really wealthy family, despite his blood relatives not feeling like a family at all, even if his older brother, Riccardo, is a decent guy, just like Royal. He and his other three friends (Roman, River and Raiden) own 4Ink tattoo shop, which is more than a tattoo shop, as the basement is used as a base for them to work as vigilantes against criminals who the justice system fails to punish. Sierra is a socialite that captivates his interest, as she is as good as pretending as he is. He recognizes that the façade she presents covers so much more. So, imagine his surprise when his father announces that she is going to be his stepsister! Bur Sierra has her own agenda, as she investigates her father’s death, believing it was no accident. Their worlds collide, revelations take place that should tear them apart but they have the opposite effect. HEA guaranteed and it brought a big smile on my face. I liked them both – 4 stars!

Short but addictive slightly different so hang on you won’t put it down until the last page has been turned. Sierra is trying her best to heal from the death of her father but what keeps her up at night is how he died, it is what drives her trying to find the responsible party so when her mother announce her engagement to none other than Marco Madera, she is none to happy and she is especially not happy with the idea of having to deal or be around his son. Royal sexy as all get out son to Marco Madera, he doesn’t believe in committed relationships, just hookups because he holds all his cards close to the chest, but the moment he meets the standoffish stepsister well she pulls at something more, and he intends to get to know her better in more ways than one. The longer they are around each other the stronger the magnetic pull until nether of the can ignore but both are holding secrets will they tear them apart, or will they be able to forgive one another seeing the chance right there in front of them, and will it lead them to happiness?

Cassi Hart delivers a gripping, high-energy read with Owned by Royal, blending suspense, complicated family dynamics, emotional tension, and intense romance into a story that kept me completely invested. Royal and Sierra have fantastic chemistry, and I loved how the author peeled back their assumptions about each other to reveal deeper, more vulnerable sides beneath the surface. The writing is vivid, fast-paced, and full of the kind of dramatic pull that makes it easy to say “just one more chapter.”
This book is a great choice for readers who enjoy morally gray heroes, secrets, danger, and a romance that feels both passionate and emotionally charged. Hart’s storytelling makes the world of 4R Ink feel bold and addictive while still giving the characters enough heart to make their journey satisfying. A thrilling, entertaining five-star read!.

All the characters are written well and fully formed. And the story line is really well written also.
We have a spicy, short read with drama, murder, loss, surprises, family found, and basement used put to good use😁. After it all we are given a happy ending.

**High Society Secrets!**
The third book in the 4R Ink series is titled “Owned by Royal”. Royal and Sierra were born into the same social circles, and now they’re discovering that their parents are engaged.
At the same time, Sierra is trying to prove that Marco is responsible for her father’s death. Meanwhile, Marco still treats Royal’s youngest son’s work at the tattoo shop as nothing more than a hobby.
But neither Royal nor Sierra fits the typical rich kid mold, since they’re both hiding big secrets. What I loved most, though, is that Royal and Sierra are perfect for each other, balancing one another’s personalities, and their attraction is passionate. And when the truth about Royal’s father, Marco, comes out, Royal and his friends from 4R Ink do what is best. This series just keeps getting better and better, and I look forward to the next book in the series.

Royal has the reputation of being a rich playboy while working as a tattoo artist while investigating and bringing to justice people who have evaded justice through legal means. Meanwhile Sierra has been investigating his father because she believes his father murdered her father. When they meet at their parents’ engagement they discover they are attracted to each other but keep their secrets to themselves.
I loved meeting this couple in this third book in the series! They fit together well as they discover more about each other. The characters are well written and it was fun to catch up with the others in the series. (You don’t need to read the other books in the series to enjoy this book.) The plot twists were interesting but the book ended before I wanted it to as I didn’t want to leave this world! A great read!.

Royal and Sierra both come from very wealthy and influential families. They meet in the prologue for the first time at a charity event and have instant chemistry. They both have preconceived notions about the other, she is a rich princess, he is the handsome playboy, however they quickly discover their public facade, is much different than the person underneath. When Sierra’s widowed mother ends engaged to Royal’s widowed father, they see each other and their feelings quickly turn into a steamy physical relationship. Both are hiding pieces of who they are from each other, including complex family dynamics and the 4R Ink’s other morally gray endeavors. When all the secrets are revealed, both Royal and Sierra have to determine if love is enough. Great epilogue and hope Royal’s brother might get his story someday!.

Another short, delightful installment in the series delivers Royal’s long-awaited HEA. The hacker of the group comes from a wealthy but fractured family—only his older brother Riccardo feels like real family. Together with Roman, River, and Raiden, he runs 4Ink tattoo shop, whose basement doubles as a vigilante base targeting criminals the justice system fails.
Sierra, a sharp socialite who’s just as skilled at wearing a façade as he is, instantly intrigues him. Then his father drops the bomb: she’s about to become his stepsister. Sierra has her own mission—proving her father’s death was no accident. Their worlds collide, secrets surface that should destroy them… yet pull them closer instead.
HEA guaranteed and thoroughly satisfying. Liked them both. 4 stars.

"I found love. A love forged through heartbreak, forgiveness, and choosing each other every single day despite knowing each other’s darkest secrets.~Royal
I was waiting for Royal's book and it didn't disappoint!! I absolutely love the 4R Ink books so far and I'm excited to read the next one!!
Royal is charming, funny, and serious when he needs to be. Sierra is funny in the way she tried to deny her feelings for Royal before giving into them.
I hate that she felt she couldn't trust Royal with what she was doing but I also understood her. And I understood the way Royal reacted when he found out.
I think the most heartbreaking part of this is finding out what really happened to Royal's mother and Sierra's father. But I'm glad things worked out for the two and that we get to see them in their happily ever after!!

This book was a punch to my emotions and all I can think to say is thank you, may I have more please. Royal and Sierra are honestly two of my favorite people. They work together so perfectly. The way things in Sierra’s life were complicated and how the main suspect for her father’s murder was about to be her stepfather. I mean dang! Royal is such a good guy. And it’s so endearing the way he makes people feel important. These two together were honestly so wonderful together. They fit together so well and I truly loved their connection. It was so genuine and honest. Even with secrets between them it was endearing. And oh man were there some delicious tense and heated moments that they shared too. They were amazing. Seeing them build trust with one another was so heartwarming. And the ending they got was pure perfection.

Having controlling interest in her late father’s business, things weren’t adding up for Sierra Chase and now she has questions. Royal Madera, younger heir to Madera Holdings was so much more than the fun loving playboy he was touted as being. Having a chance encounter with Sierra at charity gala, Royal can’t get the smart beauty out of his mind. As that two continue to cross paths and their romance ignites, Sierra crosses a line that she may not be able to come back from. As the final pieces of the puzzle fall into place, Royal will do whatever it takes to save the girl who was always meant to be his. This third book of the series with a red hot romance and family intrigue was a favourite for me. Thanks to BookSprout and the author for the opportunity to read and review her work.

Suspicion, grief and revenge....
... Sierra's pursuit of the truth leads her to heartbreaking truths and love she never expected.
Sierra and Royal fall hard and fast, they both keep secrets, secrets that could rip them apart, but the truth gives them the freedom to love completely, wholly and forever.
Royal is shocked when he hears Sierra's truth, but after speaking to Riccardo he digs.....and he finds many, many skeletons. Exactly what he needs for 4R to act.
I love that Royal and Sierra find their way to a HEA, I hate the betrayal and loss they have to survive to reach that HEA, although I am happy Royal and Riccardo become closer and strengthen their bond. Will Riccardo get his book in a future series?
I read this on Kindle Unlimited.

Owned by Royal is intense chemistry, great plot, and dark undertones. Royal and Sierra are such a fun couple to follow—and their secrets are bold omissions. Sierra has quite the ego and insecurity balance, and her determination to get to the bottom of her father’s death clearly drives her motivations. Royal is her match in every way, and while we witness him in his element we also get to know him. She is much more closed off, and it’s not always easy to tell where she is at. The action and intrigue are top notch, and the physical chemistry between the two is fiery hot. Loved the twists and the ending!

Royal and Sierra are explosive together. With a spicy hot, melt your kindle, instant attraction that neither one denies nor wants to stop even though there are a whole lot of reasons they should. I enjoyed seeing a glimpse of Riccardo and what an amazing brother he is too Royal. I was a little confused with Sierra having moved to Atlanta to be with Royal as I thought that was where the story was taking place. All in all, this is a good continuation of the series and seeing the 4R Ink family grow. Roman is coming in last but I am sure won’t be considered least. "This is my honest review of an advanced reader copy, and I am leaving this review voluntarily."
