This is simply the most beautiful thing I have ever come across in my life. No words can ever come even close to how much this book means to me, and how incredibly special it is. Love and healing and romance and friendship, drama and writing and music and more love just wrapped up into one of - if not, the best novel I have ever read in my whole life. Tiadora’s talent is beyond words can go, every sentence, every paragraph, every singular word has so much meaning and depth to it and I will never understand how someone can write something so perfect. Callie and Holden have a connection nothing like I have ever read in any other book, the raw honestly and love in this story will forever astound me. It’s safe to say I will never get over this book, I’ll keep it in my heart forever because I truly believe this story has changed my perspective on life. 💗
Blushing, kicking my feet, giggling! This book will have you feeling every little ache and heart flutter the MC's experience. It is absolutely unbelievable that this is her debut!
You can tell that Tiadora began writing this book in her youth, not because it's 'childish' or 'immature,' but quite the opposite. Lyrics of Her perfectly encapsulates what it feels like to come of age, grow out of old friends, and truly, "find yourself." There were so many moments where I saw myself in Callie and Holden, and I believe wholeheartedly that so many other readers will find comfort in the couple.
Oftentimes, when an FMC is characterized as bubbly, they are dumbed down to only their relation to the MMC. Callie is so special in the way she is written. She's kind and optimistic, but outside of her relationship with Holden, she's REAL. She has genuine aspirations and isn't portrayed as 'stupid' or 'clueless.' Callie will touch so many young girls' hearts; I know for me personally she absolutely did.
The romance?! I have not been able to get it out of my head! It is so well-earned and isn't overdone or excessively cheesy. The buildup is soooooo well written. Holden, the man he is! I'm in love. I can't put into words how much these two cross my mind.
I cannot recommend Lyrics of Her enough. I'm so grateful for my ARC, and I can't wait to see the places Tiadora will go. If you enjoy authors like Lynn Painter or Sarah Dessen, you'll love this book!
First and foremost, I want to say that this book was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. The writing, the dual timeline, the Gracie/Taylor song references, the SWEETEST characters, everything about this book was done with such grace. 🤍 Callie and Holden have my heart and I’ll be thinking about them for the foreseeable future!! 🥹
𝐋𝐲𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐞𝐫 felt like all my favorite books wrapped into one!! If you love Lynn Painter YA books, Emily Henry’s writing style, and Hannah and Garrett from Off Campus? PLEASE do yourself a favor and read this!! Theres a sweetie wounded hockey mmc & cutie pie overthinking fmc just waiting for you to read their story guys!! 🥹🫶🏻
This also truly felt like one big love letter to girlie girls who: love pop music, unapologetically read like crazy, and are in touch with their emotions 💌 Callie was genuinely such a character I felt like I resonated with. She wore her heart on her sleeve, and truly always tried to see the best in people (even when they don’t deserve it—Daisy when I catch you!! 😑👊)
This is also perfect for the 𝐍𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒!! This is a ‘childhood best friends to strangers to lovers’ fade to black. 🤭🩷✨
Anyways, I could go on and on about this book. It’s definitely one of my favorites. 💗 Tiadora, thank you for trusting me with an Arc and giving me a new favorite book to yap about 🫂🩷✨
I was lucky enough to be one of the first people to read ‘Lyrics of Her,’ which I am POSITIVE is soon going to be a pillar in the contemporary romance genre. The attention to detail in the beautifully crafted dialogue makes it so you immediately KNOW (like deeply deeply know, understand, and relate to) these characters. Whether you are a Callie, a Holden, a Via (or even a Daisy…) Lynn’s dialogue and writing makes you remember a time when your friends were your whole world, the times you regret how you may have treated them, and how easy it feels to go back to how you were when you have your reunion.
I cannot BELIEVE this is Tiadora’s debut novel, because of the beautifully complex and wonderful way she is able to deal with topics like SA, grief, and betrayal (and still making it such an enjoyable read.) It is obvious this is what she is BORN to do, and I truly cannot wait to read whatever she puts out next.
This is such a fun, exciting, and thoughtful story that is so wonderfully crafted, I just wanted more and more Callie and Holden (and let’s be honest, Via and Mason…)
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Lyrics of Her by Tiadora Lynn, and I’m begging everyone to pick it up!
Lyrics of Her offers literally anything and everything you could want from a book—relatable characters, realistic representations of relationships (romantic/platonic/familial), witty and captivating dialogue, music and pop culture references, and a beautiful, atmospheric New England setting!
Callie and Holden’s romance is friends-to-lovers done in the most touching way. Above all, their care and adoration for one another shines through in the writing, and I loved watching them learn to love the new versions of each other, just like they had as children :’) The healthy communication was so refreshing to read—it was so easy to root for them!
Every single character felt REAL. They’re all written with depth, and the emotional growth we see not only in the main characters and their relationship, but also within the MC’s friendships, is done so, so well.
The childhood flashbacks?!?!?! Easily some of my favorite moments in this book. They’re effective, intentional, and perfectly placed, giving the story an even more emotional and heartwarming touch! Also, the Dual POV was heaven-sent!!!!
I loved reading about the importance of Callie’s Filipina heritage. It’s such a meaningful layer to the story, and Callie’s gratitude for her family and their immigration is lovely to read about. As well as the overwhelming appreciation for the arts—Lyrics of Her is a love letter to the passionates, the dreamers, and the storytellers! These characters harbor a love for human connection, storytelling, and self-expression. It’s deeply relatable to me, and also a great reminder of how important the arts are to the human experience. Artistic creation is so powerful and soooo important, always!
I absolutely fell in love with everything about this book, and I cannot wait to read Tiadora’s next novel!
I can feel Tiadora Lynn’s heart bleeding through these pages, unfolding like a vivid memory. It encapsulates the bright eyed longing, and loneliness, of girlhood. You can’t help but fall in love with the endearing Callie Manalo through this story. Lyrics of Her is where heartbreak meets healing. This is the perfect read for the girls who feel too much without apology. If you’re craving a meaningful, contemporary second chance romance with peak yearning—look no further.
Callie’s perfectionism is so compelling and relatable. Her inner dialogue feels like having a conversation with your younger-self in the mirror and giving her a big squeeze. The ghost of a girl who’s changed the entirety of herself to be seen, hear and understood. Those raw, unadulterated feelings of emerging young adulthood clawing through the pages.
Callie and Holden embody what it means to reconnect with the things that made you feel most alive and move toward what a past version of yourself once longed for. Even if it doesn’t look like how you’d always imagine it going.
Lyrics of her is like To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before meets The Deal. I couldn’t put this ARC down, and it quite literally had me running to my local book store to pre-ordercopies to gift to all of my friends !!
I had the pleasure of reading this book before its release and omg I loved it so much🥹
I think this story is first and foremost about growing up, changing and learning how to deal with it. It’s about reconnecting with old friends and making new ones along the way. It’s about forgiveness and healing and also about letting go.
Both Callie and Holden were so relatable in their own ways. I loved reading their banter and unfiltered thoughts as they navigated their way through their first year of college. They both felt so realistic like real people! I found myself laughing at their banter with their friends and swooning whenever they were together. I absolutely adored the way the author portrayed female friendships in this book and you can see that it’s something she wanted to represent. I felt seen. Whether it was with Anisha’s “floor time” or Callie and Emmy’s excitement about romance books.
The story itself had a great pacing, although I did feel that around the 50% mark I felt like it was a bit dragged out. I really enjoyed that we got some past chapters of both Callie and Holden. I feel like it really helped to show why they are the way they are now. As I said before, both Callie and Holden are in their first year of college which makes them 18. I really loved how the author managed to make them feel childlike but also mature in a way that they can handle hard situations.
Once I got to the 75% mark I really wondered if we’d have a third act break up or conflict and when it finally came I was surprised by the kind of conflict it was. I was annoyed, but the good kind I think. The one that’s annoyed because I care about the characters. I also really liked the lead up to the conflict, it wasn’t out of the blue or anything.
Now, about the ending😭 [SPOILERS AHEAD] Oh, god😭 like I understand why but at the same time I’m like noooooo. It is realistic and I think it’s the best decision for both Callie and Holden in order to grow and heal and be the best versions of the themselves but TIADORA YOU BETTER PUT THEM BACK TOGETHER IN THE NOVELLA🫵 which speaking of, isn’t releasing until next year😭😭😭
Overall I had such a good time reading and I love these characters sm🥹 thank you so much Tiadora the author for the early copy🩷 Would highly recommend!! Especially for the love lovers and fangirls but honestly anyone!! This story is so beautiful and everyone should give it a chance🫶
some quotes I loved:
No song, lyric, or melody can even come close to capturing how remarkably, unchangingly, endlessly in love I am with her.
Holden and I are more than friendship. We’re bigger than romance. We’re beyond whatever label you want to put on us. Our connection is something that can’t be described in words, but when you feel it so intensely, you know it's there.
“Why creative writing?” She considers this, looking out the window before answering. A group of younger kids run by the coffee shop, chasing each other and laughing. “To capture, I guess. I like the idea that writing can hold onto the most powerful memories or emotions, even if the original moment has passed.”
If you are looking for a book that has an adorable second-chance romance between two childhood best friends that isn’t afraid to cover heavy topics, Lyrics of Her is for you! I was so incredibly lucky to receive an ARC from Tia after discovering her page on TikTok and I am so grateful to be given the opportunity to be one of the first readers of this book and to support a debut author.
Lyrics of Her is such a sweet, heartfelt romance book that discusses issues such as sexual assault, grief and domestic violence. Callie and Holden are so easy to love and their story has so much heart. It is impossible to not root for them! The cozy East Coast setting, vivid descriptions and the atmosphere make it easy to picture every scene. There is SO much yearning and longing from both sides, making every interaction feel meaningful. This book also has so many pop culture references! Lovers of Sabrina Carpenter, Noah Kahan, Gilmore Girls and more, keep an eye out for those mentions!
Tia beautifully formatted Lyrics of Her. Through past and present chapters, you can see what a strong connection Callie and Holden have despite everything. In her chapters there are also text message layouts which is a lovely, immersive addition. While reading this book, you can feel Tia’s love for Callie, Holden and their story, as well as her clear appreciation for music and literature.
The dialogue and quotes are to die for and their connection is everything!
“He tackled a kid in second grade who made Callie cry and wrecked her reading project”
Callie and Holden’s story is truly one to remember and will stay with me long after reading. I can’t wait to see what Tia writes next!

Lyrics of Her made me laugh, cry, and fall in love with Callie and Holden all at once. I first came across Lyrics of Her through Tia’s adorably coquette TikTok. Eventually, I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of it from Tia and OMG. It managed to exceed my expectations.
Lyrics of Her is a silly, fun, and wholesome read all while tackling serious issues like SA and DV. Every chapter, scene, and character was incredibly thought out and portrayed in the most vivid and thoughtful way possible. Of course, Callie and Holden had to be my favorites, with their intimate scenes and dialogue throughout. What I think sold their connection to me most were their adorable and occasionally heavy flashbacks.
While I appreciated the realistic dialogue throughout the entirety of Lyrics of Her, first grade Callie and Holden’s banter has to take the cake. It truly felt like watching scenes from The Little Rascals, only modern and cuter. Making their love story THAT much more swoon-worthy and meaningful.
“is it opposite day?” “no. it’s wednesday”
I truly believe Callie and Holden’s love story will stick with readers far after reading <3

I haven't had the chance to read this book yet since it hasn't been released, but after reading the description, I'm already excited for it. The story of Callie and Holden sounds both emotional and heartfelt, and I love the blend of friendship, second chances, music, and writing. The idea of two people finding their way back to each other while healing from their past and rediscovering their creativity really caught my attention.
The cover is absolutely beautiful and perfectly matches the emotional tone of the story. Based on the description alone, this looks like it will be a touching and inspiring read. I'm looking forward to its release and can't wait to see how Callie and Holden's journey unfolds.
I love the whole college vibe and found family of this book. I can feel the love Tiadora has for this book and the chemistry between the characters is THERE as soon as they meet. Can’t recommend this enough!
LOVED this book! Characters are relatable and real, dealing with real issues and relationships/betrayals. Love the themes that came through - strong female relationships, prioritizing their individual growth to build stronger relationships and the importance of kindness and integrity, with sweet ties to childhood foundations. Also loved the connections to ethnicity and cultural roots. Can't wait to read the next books!
