With a mother that shipped her off to boarding school as fast as she could, feeling unwanted is nothing new to Lo. When she got a chance to convince her parents to let her move back home, she went from feeling unwanted to being wanted by every guy in school.

Chase has always looked forward to summer and seeing Lo. He's loved her devil-may-care attitude from the start. But when she moves back to town for good she's changed and no longer the carefree girl she once was.

When jealousy gets the best of some people, you never know what's going to happen, especially when they want something you have.

Would you let someone take away everything you've ever wanted?

**17+ for sexual situations, cursing, and adult content.**

“I don’t just want you. I need you.”

Lo didn’t have the finest reputation. But like in every high school, a lot of that had to do with the amount and kind of rumors being spread. She wasn’t who everyone said she was, and quite frankly, she really didn’t care. I really liked her badass side. She knew who she was, and that was all that mattered. She was FAR from being a weak character, so that was a plus for me.

“I was going to be the one to fight for her.”

Chase was a sweet guy. He knew, deep down, that Lo wasn’t the girl everyone said she was. He really knew her, didn’t he? Well, her attitude didn’t make it easy, but he stuck around…for her. There were misunderstandings and typical (and at times, not so typical) high school drama that made things a tad harder on them, but he finally got passed her stubbornness.

“I’ve never wanted someone so much.”

I had a few issues with the book which kept me from giving it a higher rating, but overall, I enjoyed it. A plus for me was the ending. It was great! I loved that Chase and Lo got their HEA since they really deserved it. And also, the sex scenes were quite HOT. :)

I do have to say, I don’t think this book is super YA. I mean, yes, character age-wise it falls under that category, since they’re 17 and all, but not content-wise. So if you don’t love young adult novels, don’t let that categorization stop you. Give it a chance! You just might like it!

I had the pleasure of receiving a copy of Wanted by the author Krista Holly in exchange for a review. I found myself really enjoying this book. The main characters deal with what any typical 17 year old in high school would find themselves dealing with. Which were crushes, rumors, and annoying 17 year old guys.
This story made me remember how cruel High School kids can be and how rumors get started.
Lo "Loretta" was my absolute favorite. She took shit from no one. She walked around with a I-don't-care attitude and her nose in the air. Of course, this right away made her out to be a bitch, but she deals with what some girls do in HS.
Rumors.
Lots and lots of rumors.
Whether these rumors were true or not, I love the way Lo handled herself.

Chase annoyed me from time to time, but only cause I realized I knew someone like him in school haha
I feel like Krista wrote these 17 year old teens the way they were suppose to be written.
I look forward to reading about Kennedy & Kyle and the rest of the gang.

Lo and Chace are family friends that grew up together but drifted apart when Lo was in boarding school. Their relationship is very sweet.
Lo's relationship with her family is non existent and it's really sad to see Lo feel so lonely and unwanted.
Ms. Holly depicts High School very realistically I really felt like I was back in HS. The secondary characters are very well written and they all play a very pivotal role in Lo and Chace's story.
The writing is good. I love dual POV I always like knowing what's going on in the main characters heads.
A few things that I disliked IMO at times the H/h inner monologue was very similar so it was a bit repetitive. Also I felt some of the inner monologue could have been pulled back some, it got to, be at times too long winded. I felt it pulled the story down some.
There were some inconsistencies too but nothing major.
For a debut novel I'm very impressed and will definitely be a watching out for this author. I'm looking forward to Kennedy and Kyle's story.

When I bought this book, I was excited to read it. The plot sounded interesting, as if this book was going to be sweet and simple. If I went through this book and counted up how many clichés there were, I'd be overwhelmed - don't get me wrong, I don't have an issue with books that have a few predictable traits, but this story was a giant cliché. I wouldn't have minded this book if it was edited properly - simple grammar errors such as missing question marks and random, unnecessary places shouldn't happen. The graphic sex scenes definitely weren't 'young adult', the characters swore every other word and their dialogue was unrealistic. I had no likes or dislikes towards the characters because they were all just annoying or bland. I'm so over these predictable stories which don't stand out against other, more imaginative and respectable books. The storyline itself wasn't terrible, I just found myself in a reading slump towards the end of this book because I didn't want to finish it.

Note to self: when finding new Kindle books to buy, don't buy them just for the low price.

I really liked Lo, and felt awful for her. She had the worst parents ever. Followed by the worst love interest. Chase was hands down the weakest little bitch of guys. He believed those awful lies of her for years. He’s suppose to have known her for years. He never stood up for her. Beckon was a better guy, who was there for her. He stood up for her & actually kicked asses. Chase in the last chapter finally finds his backbone. Don’t get me started on his friend Deiter. Sure, he finally wised up. After Chase decides to man up & say he cares for her. Before that he kept groping her & spreading lies about her. Then there’s Chase screwing that Cam chick because He’s mad at Lo. Yeah & that came back to bite him, only it was Lo who paid the price. What a fucking mess. I liked Kennedy & Kyle, but I’m not sure their book will be good. This author needs to give her male leads some damn backbone & manners. Give me a male lead like Blaise DeVroe in “Rich Prick” by Tijan. He’s not perfect, far from it. But he sure as fuck was the Man who loved his girl Aspen. He had creepy friends & fucked up situations, and he ALWAYS put his girl first. He took no shit. This book has potential to be good, sadly Chase character was a serious let down.

I’ll be honest, I’ve stopped reading it.
I’m over halfway through and I can’t cope anymore.

Lo is the most irritating person ever. I know she’s 17 but bloody hell. The whole ‘woe is me’ thing just goes on and on with a childish attitude problem thrown on top. If I was her best friend, I’d have slapped her.

Chase. I mean, god, man. Wake the hell up! Stop being a complete drip.

And the first quarter of the book consisted of name of songs and their artists. Couldn’t turn a page without someone putting a song on and the title and artist being mentioned.

I just can’t even finish this book. It’s infuriated me.

Definitely one of the best books I have read. Keeps you pulled in until the very end and even then you just want more. It can be graphic for younger ages so I would be careful of kids under 13 reading this book. But I love the authors writing style and I can honestly say I have read this book 3 times and I love it more and more each time.

As an older gal (42) the YA genre isn't at the top of my list, however Krista Holly's Wanted, was a cute read loaded with tons of teenage angst. Lo and Chase complemented each other nicely and the story flowed well.

Lo is a little girl lost. She doesn't feel wanted by her parents since they are leaving or shipping her off constantly. Finally putting her foot down and going to a public school, may turn out to be a mistake. Lo learns that an all girls school was easier to handle than the public school full of horn-dog guys that like to brag about conquests, whether they are true or not.

Now Lo finds herself as the target of many rumors and none of them are true. There is a circle of guys that like to make it their mission to point out the "sluts" of the school. Among this circle is Chase, who has known Lo for years, as their parents are close. He knows the real Lo (or at least thinks he does) and tries to come to her defense whenever he can. Plus he may like her a little more than a friend. With a slight rep of his own, Chase has his work cut out for him if he wants any chance with Lo.

"We gazed in to each other's eyes-fire behind his, ice behind mine. There was bound to be a storm in the coming moments. Our elements just didn't coexist." ~ Lo

She wants him, he wants her, the rumor mill wants them both. Chase knows if he has anything to to with Lo, his boys are going to want all the dirty details. He is walking a fine line between his friends and earning Lo's trust.

"Where are these thoughts even coming from? I've never had the desire to fight for a girl in my life. Until this one."~ Chase

Wanted is a look at how a few words from parents, friends or enemies can really hurt a person. This is a wicked high school, where everybody is all up in each others business. Lo's best friend Kennedy was a ray of sunshine in the dark cloud of mean kids. The book is well written from dual points of view and has its funny moments sprinkled in with the serious ones.

wow. just. yikes. bought it bc of the cute cover and it was all downhill from there. The MCs were sooo immature! Were we supposed to like Lo and Chase? Neither one did anything worth liking.
Lo returns from private school bc...she wants to be home? But home was never welcoming to her so that was vague. Everyone at school spreads rumors that Lo is a slut (esp Chase's best friend Dieter) so Lo dresses like a slut to prove...what? I'm not sure. Lo attends the parties bc...she hates those people? Chase wants to prove he's different...by having sex with Lo? I seriously did not understand the motives of the characters. Was it written by a 13yrold girl who has only ever watched inappropriate "teenage" romcoms and believes sex=the way to solve problems? Chase's best friend spends the whole book ragging on what a slut Lo is while Chase says NOTHING and wonders if it's true then suddenly Dieter says maybe she's not and Chase is like told you then Chase and Lo have sex and Chase is like yup she was a virgin and tells Dieter and they make jokes about it. OMG what happened? I kept reading bc I was waiting for the redemption and/or lesson but it just ends bc Lo knows what's best for herself and that's living with Chase then visiting colleges? No. Just no. Such a strange book with unacceptable actions committed by everyone for there to not be any redeeming qualities.

Lo is a tough girl that holds her own and has dealt with her fair share of crap but she always pulls through and holds her head high. She is lonely and really has a nonexistent family. She doesn't trust easy and realizes that her private school might have been easier than public. All girls is much simpler than coed. Boys make things difficult.

Chase has his work cut out for him with gaining Lo's trust. He is a typical high school guy and likes to brag about his conquests. Lo and chase have known each other for years. Chase likes Lo as more than a friend but trying to keep his friends and Lo separate proves harder than he thought. He doesn't believe the rumors about her and tries to come to her defense as much as possible.

This is a high school love story through and through. Between the gossip, lies, rumors and mean girls I felt like I was back in those walls of school. The book was genuinely well written and an enjoyable story.

The only things that I didn't like about this book is that i found the language a bit too harsh for the YA genre. Also the sex scenes. They would fit better in new adult or borderline erotica category instead of young adult. I feel it would be slightly better suited for adult (18+) readers.

Chase was a giant pansy for about 85% of the book. He let people spread hurtful rumors about the girl he supposedly liked and I think he even joined in at one point when he implied she was a whore. He proceeds to sleep with Lo's nemesis 15% into the book, and then had the nerve to get pissed off and possessive when he thought Lo might like or even kiss another guy.

Lo's character was also a mess from her over the top woe is me attitude, to the every-boy-I-know-wants-me way that her character is written. She was a martyr that was either too weak or too stupid to stand up for herself when untrue rumors were spread about her. And if there's one thing I despise about NA romances, it's the innocent virgin girl and the man whore who's slept with anything horizontally trope, and this book was exactly that. And when they did finally have sex, it was amazingly awkward and so stilted.

Wanted is the debut novel by Krista Holly.
It's a story based on Lo and Chase. Lo has been away a private school and finally convinced her parents to let her return home. Chase and Lo have been family friends for many years but only saw each other when Lo returned home for holidays.
Now that Lo has moved home permanently there relationship is strained, there feelings are sure to be tested.

This is a dual POV book which I love books like this, however it seemed to drag on, It was set in high school and it was all about the partying, which became rather repetitive as the book went on.
There were some good moments in the book, Lo and Chases relationship I liked, the secondary characters were entertaining and some like Cam you just wanted to slap.
A good debut novel by Krista.

The book was good dealing with all the different bullshit that goes on in high school. Lo had everything but what she wanted the most which is love. Chase was awesome and at times wanted to kick his ass bcuz of his shit not knowing if to believe the rumors about Lo or not. It was almost like he would let his friend influence him too much instead of standing on his own. Then he does a 360 when he gets with Lo and starts defending her and standing up for her. Lo's mom - bitch and just all around pathetic to treat her daughter the way she did. Im happy for the happily for Chase and Lo. She really deserve it and just happy how their story came together in the end.

Copy received from Krista in exchange for honest review.

This was a step out of my regular reading zone I generally go for dark / erotic reads, but this book had me hooked.

Krista has a lovely style of writing. The main and secondary characters are very well developed. I fell in love with lo& chase. The story line was full of twist and turns, once I started this book I struggled to put it down.

This is a beautifully put together high school romance that will have you flipping pages until the very end ;).
I cannot wait to see what will come next from this very talented new author.

I don't know why I did it

Not gonna lie I was in a rush and needed a book. This sounded somewhat interesting. But worst book ever. Lo was unrealistic to the max. Chase was well a pu**y. If he would of handled things like a real man then maybe this book would be pushing 2 stars. But to just pretty much watch him sit back constantly until the very very end. Painful. No one ever wants a book boyfriend like him. But yes I read it. I needed to kill 7 hours and this was the only book I downloaded. Now to clear my head of this painful experience.

Just not good at all

I am probably the easiest person to please, book wise, and this one was .... Not good. The plot was there but the dialogue was severely lacking and way too reliant on foul language (and that's coming from someone who curses a fair amount) instead of substance in words.
