One of the most recognizable historical landmarks in the town of Gettysburg Pennsylvania is the Farnsworth House. This structure has been witness to some of the most poignant moments in American history. From the Battle of Gettysburg to the momentous morning of November 19, 1863, when President Abraham Lincoln passed by on his way to deliver the Gettysburg Address at the dedication of the Soldiers' National Cemetery.
I read this gem while working at the Shriver House today - someone left it on the counter by the cash register. I worked at the Farnsworth House restaurant as a waitress the summer of ‘78 after graduating from high school before going to college. A somewhat “spooky” place. Anything with Gettysburg history appeals to me. Tim Smith did a great job!
