This was a good time! I always love a story where the FMC is a little mean and completely unimpressed with the MMC in the beginning. Titan was a charmer who was used to getting any woman he wanted, but Cady was immune to all of it. A mutually beneficial opportunity presents itself, and that’s where their love story begins. Fake dating is one of my absolute favorite tropes and, baby, this didn’t stay fake for long!
What I appreciated most about their relationship is that they genuinely liked each other. Their chemistry was palpable, and there were several moments where I caught myself smiling at their cute little exchanges. The banter was fun, the characters were likable, and the whole cast made this an enjoyable read.
I kept waiting for some big, explosive drama because there were quite a few opportunities for things to go left. But ultimately…nothing did. This was just a feel-good romance where the MMC learns that love and relationships aren’t a death sentence and that there’s more to life than football.
Also, I loved the callbacks to some of this author’s other characters. It took me way too long to realize who Cady’s boss was and who Titan’s cousin was. 🤣
What I appreciated most about their relationship is that they genuinely liked each other. This Thing Called Love
It's funny how people play with the word love but truly don't understand the way it can work. Titan, one of the most carefree, unfiltered men and most sought after athletes around, by the ladies especially. Temper is a lil off. Thus comes Cadence. A beautiful student who found herself in dire straights with her school loans. No, she doesn't flock to or googly eye Titan for his status or clout. Unlike every other female around. But his huge tips help out tremendously. He overhears a conversation and offers Cady a solution for both her and him. Neither knew that thing called love would rearrange their entire lives and direction through the challenges. Would you have taken that deal? I sure would!

Tink to save the day
Titan and Cady were so cute! What started as something to save his reputation ended up being the start of both their blessings. His love for her and her unwavering support for him were just the sweetest. Titan met his match with Cadence, and they truly balanced each other out.

I enjoyed this. I loved a good fake dating sports romance. Especially when the transition to a real relationship isn’t hectic. This was a good time. I would recommend.

From Fake to Real
I love how this story came together. Cadence aka Tink was not even trying to entertain Titan. He was a fine hoe who was doing single s@#$. Titan wasn't trying to be tied down. My boy was living his best life.
Then one faithful night, he met his match. Cady had much bigger things to handle without Titan interfering. My girl had a plan to graduate and start her career and not become a notch on Titan's belt.
But as his representation became trash, Sasha decided to intervene. Get a fake girlfriend to clean up your image or else. Titan wasn't with it until he overheard Cady and Janea discussing her tuition situation. He formed a plan to assist her if she pretended to be his girlfriend.
The more time they spent together, the more they wanted to be together. Their situation was just supposed to be photo ops and appearances, but the heart had other plans.
I enjoyed this book and revisiting old characters.

Titan’s mother calling these girls hoes like 1. her son isn’t one by sticking his dingalig in a different girl every week. 2. she isn’t one for sleeping with her bd who is a married man. I like her but some of these women act like their son can do no wrong
This Cady and Saint revelation was unnecessary. Not sure why the author went there.
Titan’s father excuse for marrying Maureen yet cheating makes no sense. And taking fiftyleven years to request a divorce was such bs
Anyway now that my random thoughts are out the way I love Titan and Cady’s relationship developed over time. I was locked in. It seem genuine and organic. One of the best couples I’ve read about recently. And this author is captivating; really knows how to draw you in

This sports romance stars Titan a young football star who was hoeing around. Enter Candace (Cady) who works at his favorite strip club as a bottle girl. He pursues her but she always rejects him.
But Titan’s wild ways are catching up to him and starting to affect his brand deals. To counter the effect, his manager and PR person wants him to fake date for a minute.
After overhearing that Cady needed money to finish college, he asks her to be his pretend girlfriend. You know fake moves to real very fast.
I loved that this book had no third act breakup and that their relationship developed because they spent time getting to know each other. A fun and relaxing read.

I will never get tired of a reformed playboy who falls first and falls hard. Titan didn't stand a chance once Cadence walked into his life. My man folded so fast, and I was here for every minute of it.
What made this story work for me was Cadence. She knew Titan's reputation and refused to become another name on his list. Sis had standards, stood on business, and made him prove he wanted more than a good time.
Watching Titan put in the work to earn her trust was my favorite part of the book. Their chemistry was strong, the romance felt earned, and I loved seeing a man known for loving and leaving finally meet the woman who made him change his ways.

Titan & Cadence
This was a cute contemporary sports romance read. Titan had a lot of growing up to do before he could lock Cady in. Titan was a loose and wild boy. Sleeping with anything walking and not caring about his public image. That was until the girl that he wanted brushed him off because of his image. An opportunity that neither could resist presented itself and the dove in head first. What they didn't expect was to fall in love with each other.
I really enjoyed reading Titans' character development throughout the book. I also loved that his father took ownership of the bad decisions that he made, which caused Titan to be the way that he was.

More like 2.5 stars. This was ok it started off really good, and although I’m glad there wasn’t an overkill of drama, there was also no conflict at all. It was chapter after chapter of really nothing. The characters were lovable and that’s really what kept me going otherwise I would have DNF long before I did. I got to 84% after skipping so many pages and DNF. I was invested at first but then it just fell flat to me unfortunately.
P.S. the overuse of the word “simper” almost made me hate this book if I’m being honest. The word was used in almost every paragraph on every page. I literally almost didn’t get as far as I did just from that alone.

This was such a fun, addictive read. The fake dating trope had me hooked from the beginning, and the chemistry between Titan and Cadence kept me turning the pages. The banter, tension, and slow shift from pretending to something more felt natural and had me smiling more than once.
Titan surprised me the most. I expected the typical football star, but there were layers to his character that made me want to keep reading. Cadence was easy to root for, and I appreciated that she didn’t immediately fall for the fame or the attention.

Titan an annoying hoe of a football player is in a situation where he needs to clean up his image. He meets Tink at a strip club because she is a bartender and she doesn’t fall for his charm. She is smart, quick witted and according to him mean but in all actuality no non sense, he falls for her beauty and resistance towards him. He proposition her for a fake relationship to clean his image while he pays for her schooling so she can graduate. That is when the lines are blurred.

Titan and Cady were cute, I’ll give them that. I liked that she wasn’t impressed by him being this big football star and made him work for her attention because clearly that man was used to women making it easy. The fake dating deal with him helping with her tuition was a good setup too. My problem is after they started catching feelings, not much else was happening. I kept waiting for something to shake the story up and it never really came. Cute couple and an easy read, just a little too uneventful for me.

I’ve read many of Ms Tacarra’s other books so I knew it would be good, but BABYYY this one right here made me want to start it again.
I absolutely loved Titan and Tink!! Once Titan met his Tink it was game over. Tink, probably one of my favorite FMCs. She was head strong and was focused on her goals. Sis made Titan work and he applied that pressure. Loved the visuals for the book as well.

Titan and Tink were cute and funny. They really balanced each other out and faking or not they weren’t playing about each other.
This book had good side characters that were funny for the story even a little plot twist. I guessed it a little bit, but I didn’t think it was gonna go that well. Almost thought we was gonna have a little taboo going on lol

Fake Dating, but the love was REAL!
I loved Titan & Tink!
Their banter & chemistry was too good. Even their bickering (aka Titan getting on her nerves & Cady humbling him) was cute.
Titan had an abundance of rough edges, but he locked in & got his ish together quickly.
They were open + vulnerable & their love blossomed perfectly.
I was so excited to see cameos from some of my favorite characters. That plot surprise was 👩🏾🍳😘 !

This was fake dating that didn't stay fake long...and I loved it! Titan Samuels needed to impprove his image and Cadence "Cady/ Tink" Mitchell needed tuition. When their paths criss, it was the perfect solution.
I loved how Cady didn't take Titan's sh$% and made him step up his game. And step up he did. The intention and flip to boyfriend was so good. I loved this book. It is definitely being added to the comfort read list.

Titan and Cady were cute and I really liked their banter. The fake dating situation was fun, especially because Titan caught real feelings QUICK while Cady was still trying to treat everything like an arrangement 😂 I just needed a little more from the story outside of their relationship. Once they got together it was pretty obvious where everything was going and there wasn’t much conflict. Still a cute read though, I enjoyed them. 3.5 ⭐️

I absolutely loved Tink and Titan together! Fake dating isn’t normally one of my favorite tropes, but this story gave me everything I didn’t know I needed. Titan fell first, and Tink couldn’t help but love that man. Titan knew Tink was no pushover, and if he messed up, she was prepared to walk away. I loved how the family interacted, even Dad got his life together. Overall excellent read!

This has become one of my fav fake relationships turn real. Titan although he was living the single life buckled down quickly once he set his eyes on Tink. lol he called the MFC that so much I truly can’t even think of her real name! I loved the dialogue between the two and how her main focus wasn’t securing the bag and busting wide open for a rich dude! I liked the progression of their relationship. Good book!!

Let me start by saying I hated Titan at first, but he grew on me. Very blunt, but I loved every minute of it! My girl Cadence... lemme say I wanted to turn her every way but loose lmao. I can also understand why she was so 'mean." Overall, this story was definitely a 5-star for me. Tacarra, you really outdid yourself with this story.

Tacarra did it again!!!!
This was a great love story, no real messy drama. Two ppl coming together to help one another, only to find love in one another. However, Tacarra is definitely going to give you some great side characters because Nae, Lani, Tatum and Kobe were funny asf. Cady stood on business and Titan was just a sucker for his Tink. Lol

Oh my goodness! So good!
Titan never knew what him! Cady didn't take his mess and didn't fall into his bed just because of who he was. She gave as good as she got and he somehow respected her for that. This was a beautiful story. Titan wasn't looking, but the best thing to happen to him fell into his lap! Awesome book!!!

You Never Realize What You Really Need
Tacarra, what a great sweet read. I love the persistent ones. I love how Tink never changed her ways she made her situation happen as it should have. I also enjoyed seeing a man change when he knew what he had. It's true when you know you just know🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Loved Titan and Tink 🥰🥰
This was the sweetest lil love story. I love how Titan was smitting for her. I was smiling the entire time I read this book. Tacarra never disappoint, definitely one of my favorite authors. I wanted more of this story it was so good and so cute 😍
