"The Mask" is the story of Margo and Cas.

Cas spots Margo when she rescues him off a boat, and the attraction is instantaneous. In a whirlwind romance, he sweeps her off her feet and marries her in haze of intense passion, only for her to "die" during a crash on their honeymoon.
Two years later, oriental artist Tang Qi enters his wife, and his withering feelings are resurrected..
Wonderful story of love, devotion and marriage between a couple tested by nature and fate. The couple was crazy and devoted to each other, and dealt well with their problems instead of lying or shoving them under the rug. There is humor, angst and loads of lovemaking.
Finally, the masks are lifted and leads to a satisfying ending.

The plot didn't make any sense. Any person on learning they were alive and not dead, wouldn't leave their loved ones hanging without letting them know this. But the h is presumed dead when her airplane crashed and suddenly made a fortune with her paintings and sculpture but doesn't send a telegram to say the reports of her death had been greatly exaggerated. She meets her husband after two years and doesn't let him know then either!
Despite too many plot conveniences including Tibetian monks' mystic messages, the book is well written.

I thought I was going to like this, but in no time at all, it annoyed the crap out of me.
