Rate this book
Mason Redstone has one don't get personally involved. Cora Trent is about to make that very difficult. When the Cryptid Unit needs someone to go undercover into San Diego's paranormal conference scene, they call Mason. His Cora Trent, a woman they suspect is helping a Satori, a paranormal predator who reads minds and kills those it deems evil. But the closer Mason gets to Cora, the harder objectivity becomes. His instincts say she's not what the CU believes. His heart agrees. Both could be wrong.

Across town, Daniels and Remalla are hunting The Alchemist — a killer who's turned a bath into a weapon and left a body count behind as evidence. When they realize the victims all connect back to Trick and Lindsey, the investigation turns personal. Suddenly the detectives are digging into secrets that were never meant to surface.

Then there's the new client. Elias arrives at SCOPE with ghost problems, old family wounds, and a quiet warmth that makes everyone want to trust him. Mason's instincts say he's genuine. Trick and Mikey agree. The secrets Elias carries say otherwise.

When both investigations collapse into the same truth, the secret at the center doesn't just close the cases. It changes the team. Forever.

Some truths are lost on purpose. Especially ones that can kill.

I am happy to have received an advanced copy of this book from the author. My review does not contain any spoilers, at least none that will interfere with your enjoyment.

Lost Truth continues the enjoyable crossover between the Redstone Chronicles and the Detectives Daniels and Remalla series. There was the usual family-like bantering throughout the book which makes it so relatable. But on top of that was a very intriguing plot that involved an ancient power called the Santori. The Santori have the ability to kill people with their minds, however, this requires a lot of energy or they themselves become drained. After several deaths occur, Mason, Mikey, and Trick are asked by the CU to help them identify the killer. (The CU is a secret unit that hunts and studies Cryptids and their behavior) In fact, it is in their best interests to do so, because they find themselves targeted by the mysterious killer. How do you capture a murderer that can kill with their mind? Better yet, how do you survive the encounter?

In addition to the task of identifying and finding the Santori, a couple of new characters emerge which I think may be making an appearance in future books. Can’t wait to see where they lead us! Do yourself a favor, and put aside a few hours to immerse yourself in this imaginative plot.

THE REDSTONE CHRONICLES:
Source: The author; individual stories, my Kindle library (1-5).

LOST TRUTH, #8 - This is an immersing story with good characters and interesting story lines. Plenty of intrigue and fantasy characters. Source: The author. 5*

THE REDSTONE CHRONICLES, Books 1- 3
Source: The author; individual stories, my Kindle library.
LOST SOULS, #1 - Interesting introduction to a series related to another series, Daniels and Remalla. I like the writing style of this author. Interesting story lines and good characters set to a good pace. 4*

LOST DREAMS, #2 - The story lines and characters are interesting along with a steady pace. 4*

LOST CHANCES, #3 - Interesting story lines. Interesting characters. I like this series as much as I like Daniels and Remalla. 4*

LOST LOVE, #7 - This is the seventh book of the Redstine Chronicles series of which this is the only book I've read. That said, other than my curiosity about what L went through previously, which she spoke about late in the book, I did not need the previous books read. LL is interesting and intriguing in places; easy to figure out but with twists that add meatyness; and good characters. P could have more info about him, a meatier character but he is an old character, so my loss not reading the series. Overall, a good read by itself and for missing the rest of the series. I received an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

In the latest book, it begins with a woman who is preparing a bath and winds up dying in a deadly manner. Rem and Daniels wind up assigned to the case. At the same time Mikey is moping because of her breakup with Rem, Trick is gleeful with the return of Lindsey the next day and Mason is his normal self. As it turns out, Lindsey's arrival and her mission create a mess as the trio gets involved. Mason winds up being asked to shadow Cora, a person of interest in what Lindsey relates to her Santori case, Trick is upset because of Mason agreeing and putting himself in danger and Mikey is starting to come back to normal.

Follow all of them and learn what efforts Mason takes and how his involvement with Cora works, how the Santori and bath salt cases connect and how Elias, a new client for Mason, plays a major role. Discover what dangers Mason, Cora, Trick and others have to overcome. The ending provides the necessary answers and reveals a surprise which sums what the two cases were all about.

This is well worth the read, don't miss out!

I received an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review. Lost Truth is a continuation of the Redstone series, but does also have Remalla and Daniels throughout helping with the mystery. I absolutely love J.T. Bishop's writing and all of her books and series! They never disappoint!  Mason goes on an undercover mission and may find love, Trick has a big part in this book and finds out secrets and life-changing information, and Mikey is still working her way back to Rem. The writing and plot are fantastic with many gasp-worthy moments!  The characters feel like family at this point. I cannot wait until the next book!

Lost Truth: A Paranormal Mystery Thriller (The Redstone Chronicles Book 8), my twenty-seventh read from author J.T. Bishop. “I received a complimentary Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. The book was well-written & flowed smoothly & quickly with a crossover from Bishop's other major characters, Daniels and Remalla. I look forward to reading more from this author and just discovered a series I haven't read yet. Red-Line: The Shift (The Red-Line Trilogy) is high on my TBR list.. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

I am sitting here crying. This book broke my soul a little bit. It is so powerful, and you just want these characters to get a chance at true happiness. J.T. Bishop writes in a way that her characters feel like part of your family. I just want to reach out and give them the love they deserve and so desperately need. Who knows what's next, but I will be there to find out. Don't delay in reading Lost Truth!!

Wow, is this a thriller or what. I think this is probably the best one yet. There are that many things going on, you begin to wonder if the teams are going to make it to the end, cos they meet an adversary to beat all adversaries. I loved it, as I have all this authors books. I have to ask, what’s going to happen next, cannot wait. Highly recommended.

Another great story

This book is a great addition to the series. I loved the crossover with Rem and Daniels. There is a lot going on in this story and how it all comes together in the end was a surprise for Trick. I wonder what will happen next.

If you like paranormal and investigative stories, this series delivers.

I'm a big fan of this series and author. The Cryptid Unit needs and undercover person in San Diego, Mason is the perfect fit for the job. There are many twists and the story becomes very emotional as I'm invested is these characters. Be prepared with tissues because this was turn of events I never saw coming. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Bath salts meant for Trick or Lindsey are killing anyone who uses them. A paranormal who gets energy from others while leaving them dead or weak. Daniela and Remalla team up with Mason, Trick and Mikey to track down the villain. A page turning thriller.

Open minded

The Redstone Chronicles are over the top reading. To enjoy them to the fullest the reader needs to believe in the unbelievable, the fantasy and the unknown. They really are a fun read if you open your mind.
