Hannah Blanton is a mum, wife and poet based in the East Midlands, UK. She used to have fun hobbies like hiking or going to the cinema, but these days you can mostly find her sorting through laundry or chasing her two little girls round a playground. She started sharing her poetry on Instagram in 2025 and quickly found a growing community of other mums who resonated with her work and experiences of early motherhood. Hannah’s poems have since been viewed by millions around the world. Somewhere Between is her debut collection, which she wrote while mostly nap-trapped on maternity leave with her second baby. I discovered Hannah Blanton recently when she popped up on my FYP on Facebook. It was a reel of her poem Somewhere Between. I found it incredibly moving. I’m 3 months postpartum, and her poem put into words everything I was feeling so perfectly. I immediately ordered myself a copy of her newly released book, and I’m so glad I did. The postpartum hormones and emotions are unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before, and explaining how I’ve been feeling has been difficult. Hannah’s poems are so incredibly relatable, so I purchased two more copies to give to my cousins who have also recently started their families. It’s a lovely gift for any mom at any stage of motherhood.
