Finished it but it wasn’t as good as I thought it could have been. It felt really rushed, the storyline was ok but could have been developed better. The chemistry between the characters was also meh for me and when I think of dark romance this isn’t what I think of there wasn’t anything dark about this book it was a regular “mafia” story. There was some killing but that was it.

Gripping romance filled with mystery, danger, and intense emotional stakes. The story masterfully blends passion with suspense, keeping me completely invested from beginning to end.

The characters are compelling and layered, with a hero who is dark, protective, and hiding secrets that add depth to every interaction. The heroine is strong and determined, refusing to be overshadowed as she uncovers truths that could change everything. Their chemistry is electric, creating plenty of tension, tender moments, and unforgettable passion.

The plot moves at a steady pace with twists that keep the reader guessing, while the emotional journey feels authentic and rewarding. The balance between romance, drama, and intrigue makes this a truly addictive read.

Bea is overworked and underpaid; she’s taking care of her grandmother, and she’s burnt out. She’s tasked with bringing a document to the top floor, where she overhears something that she can’t unhear. Now, she’s either dead or Raffaele’s new assistant.

Raffaele is a lawyer and the adopted son of Vincenzo, the current Don. He becomes obsessed with his new assistant; in the past, women came and went, but she’s making him unfocused. He’s the Mafia’s cleaner, and becoming distracted isn’t something he can allow.

I finished the story one night; the story grabbed my attention and kept it. Jade Rowe is becoming one of my favorite authors.

I absolutely loved it because it’s a light mafia romance sprinkled with a bit of smut. The plot doesn't focus heavily on building the relationship up to an 'I love you,' but somehow it really worked for me. It’s the perfect relaxing read. I might be being a little generous with my five stars, but for a Saturday read, it was absolutely perfect!

Is Bea stupid? Yes, she is! Is there a point where you feel them bonding? No, because all their relationship is either them doing it or is Bea feeling sorry for her because he left her alone in order to solve his family problems like when his father was murdered and she wanted him to stay and visit the house with her, but I liked the plot and the twist about the murders at the end. All in all for me it worked.

Devil's Secret is a fast paced dark Mafia romance between Raffaele and Bea. Raffaelo is the attorney who Bea is delivering a document from her grandmother. While there, she overhears him ordering a hit and Raffaele knows he must keep her in his close proximity to prevent her from sharing his secret life. The characters are well developed with Bea being an independent female who stands up to Raffaele's strong persona. This intense and intriguing book has plot twists, mystery, secrets, drama, and strong sexual tension and sizzle.

A well written read, full of action, drama, and romance. Bea Mendez hears something she shouldn’t and finds herself now working for Raffaele D’Amico. Bea is so much stronger than she realizes and she needs to be with what’s to come. Raffaele has been taking care of the family business for a long time, he’s exacting, at times indifferent, and a monster. There’s a war coming and both Bea and Raffaele will be put to the test as lines are drawn and blurred at the same time. Thanks to BookSprout and the author for the opportunity to read and review this engaging read.

The characters were very complex and compelling and complicated and absolutely perfect together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was excellent and impressive. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!

Bea got sent to deliver a letter to her executive and head lawyer Raffaele whose also the Dons adopted son, and she over hears him ordering a hit, he spots her reflection and knows he cant have witnesses so he makes her his PA and makes sure hes situated right in the middle of her life, but when danger calls can he keep her safe? Well written the story and characters draw you in with steamy desires drama action and more
