Some sins haunt you...and others become your favorite game
Sabina Bianchi is Cinder Falls University's dark legend, untouchable, beautiful, and rumored to be heartless.
She rules the campus with a single look, and no one dares challenge her... except for one.
Raven Torrance isn't easily rattled. He keeps to the shadows, watching, silent, impossible to read. No matter how hard Sabina tries to break him, he never bends, and his silence becomes the one thing she can't control.
Sabina stalks him, taunts him, needs him more than she'll ever admit.
But Raven's patience hides a hunger of its own and every obsession has a breaking point.
Sin is supposed to destroy you.
But in Cinder Falls, it just might set you free.

I fear this author has officially broken my brain because WHAT WAS THIS?! Like how am I’m supposed to be okay afterward? The mystery makes you question EVERYTHING, These characters are lovable, sarcastic, chaotic, morally questionable little disasters. The way this story kept me hooked had me absolutely saying “just one more chapter”. Every page had me either screaming, suspicious of everyone, or emotionally unwell. Whatever she put in these pages is definitely NOT FDA approved because this book is addictive as hell. I fear I’m obsessed. I fear I need help. I fear I’m already ready for the next one.

We're back at Cinder Falls University with book 2 in the Condemned series. This time it's Sabina Bianchi and Raven Torrance's story. It's a great, suspenseful intriguing story with fantastic characters! This book as a little bit of everything that kept me flipping the pages to see what's coming next. Murder, mystery, mayhem and connection between these characters that's completely explosive!

I throughly enjoyed this! Sabina and Raven kept you engaged the entire time, and the way the tension had my anxiety lol. I feel like this one was brought the series to a whole nother level. And that secret society is still going with the shenanigans lol. I did wish I knew what some of the conversations were, when Sabina was speaking with her dad. I could kind of get the gist of it. All in all, I would definitely recommend this book. The entire series has been amazing. And the little puzzles that Lucie has you trying to figure out is a top tier strategy to keep readers engaged.

Again this author proves herself by writing masterpiece, I’m loving how the mystery and story keep my attention like it does. These characters are so lovable, sarcastic and evil (in their own charming) way. The riddles and relationships, just everything. Whatever she put in the pages is deadly, and I’m grateful 🖤🫂

ARC REVIEW

“Some sins haunt you…and others become your favorite game”

The bar was really raised with this one. I was pleasantly surprised by how much more cohesive and precise the writing in this book felt.

Sabina was born a Madame and Raven was born a Consort so they both grew up learning the inner workings of Emberlyn which made for an interesting perspective on the intricacies of the secret society.

The dynamic between Sabina and Raven was addicting. Their tension and buildup was so rewarding—when the last thread of control snapped and they finally gave in to what they wanted it was electric. I really enjoyed the development of their relationship and how together they navigated the mysterious enigma that is Emberlyn.

As a side note, while it didn’t take away from the story, I would have loved an english translation on the conversations between Sabina and her father because I don’t know Italian so feel like I might have missed out some details.

I really enjoyed this book thank you Lucie for the opportunity to arc read it!

ARC REVIEW
Okay out of all of Lucie’s books I’ve read so far this one was my favorite of hers yet. I loved the mystery in this so much and getting to dive a little bit more into the secret society. I liked the tension between Sabina and Raven. They were so good together and I loved how Sabina was a strong independent girlie but she had to lean on Raven for certain things and the way she started trust him was fun to read through. The mystery in this with all the murders happening and trying to figure out who it is and what’s going on is what really had me hooked because I wanted to know more of the mystery.

Loved this book. More drama, more mystery & more murders.
Back at Cinder Falls University & this time we’re getting to know Raven, who is a Consort & Sabina who is a Madam in the Secret Society. There are a few returning characters from the first book, mainly Luciela & Thames, occasionally Willow, but they are more just supporting background characters.

Sabina is sent to Cinder Falls on assignment, but it’s not clear till the end what that assignment is - and who gave it to her. But nothing is as it seems with Sabina. Having a mob boss dad, being a Madame in Emberlyn, having everything basically handed to her, it’s not always as good as it looks, or as easy as it seems to be.

Raven is always watching. Everyone & everything. And when fires & murders start happening on campus that don’t line up with Emberlyns usual mode of operation, he takes notice & becomes suspicious. Something isn’t right.

This book has you questioning what is happening & who is behind it, who is watching who every chapter. It’s a chess game of manipulation & games that lead you on a psychological thriller to the end. And the ending? Not who I thought or what I thought.

Still wish there would be more on the secret society though!

ARC Review! Thank you to Lucie for allowing me to read early 🖤

“The board remains stable, the center holds and when it shifts, it will not be accidental.”

“And for the first time since receiving the message, I found myself wondering if trust always felt this much like standing on the edge of a cliff.”

We are BACK in Cinder Falls y’all! When I tell you this story has me grasping my kindle at all hours of the day! From the start we are brought right back to Cinder Falls and into Emberlyn’s mysteries.

Raven and Sabina’s story is full of mystery, suspense, and a feeling of being controlled like a puppet, but I suppose that what Emberlyn does 😉
