Utopia: The Secular Delusion

Rate this book
Bō Jinn has fast become a popular maverick figure in the immortal debate on religion with his first book, provocatively entitled Illogical Atheism, where his unique approach to the subject, dubbed ‘unapologetics’, earned him both praise and contempt in equal measure from people on all ends of the spectrum. In this small reflection, Jinn tackles the related subject of secularism and the ‘Utopian Dream’ with that same combination of eloquence, humor, insight and severity that readers are bound to either love or hate.

Convincing argument against secularism

The author makes a strong case that secularists operate under the delusion that they can create Heaven on Earth. All that has happened throughout history is the occurrence of tyranny, including revolutionary France, Nazi Germany, and the Soviet Union. The modern European Union and the United States may be heading towards a similar fate as the leaders succumb to the temptations of power, unrestrained by the laws of Heaven. They labor under the delusion that they can recreate Utopia.
