Her ex-husband left her feeling used but can she really find love with a man her son's age who's a werewolf? She's the one he wants but can he ever convince her that age is just a number? If they didn't have enough trouble, they're caught between an obsessed boyfriend and a vengeful sister. Will things ever go right?
Note: sexually graphic and descriptive situations. Only for mature readers.
White Wolf clan strikes again. Great story and characters. The drama and action are awesome. The story of someone who had basically given up on living but then finds a reason to pull it together is inspiring. Finding love after living without it for so long is touching. Genie and Eli make a fantastic couple. I would love to find out what happens with Val and Monty. I would recommend this story to any adult reader. It is truly a great read.
A good read with a strong older woman, younger man theme. He is also a shape shifter wolf which adds another level of interest. Strong characters and a strong well developed plot.
The summary had great promise - a type of mating we don't often see. With that being said, the writing was amateurish and downright painful at times. The MCs seemed relatively fleshed out, although both felt rather childish regardless of their respective ages. The story literally dragged on with monotonous details about day-to-day things that really did nothing to further the story.
The love story was ultimately beyond anticlimactic. Considering the MCs spent tiring amounts of time thinking about their relationship, they did surprisingly little talking to each other. There was no declarations of love, although the author pretends there were. In the end, the mate conversation had no strife or discussion, despite all the thought and worries from the MCs for the entire book.
The book was boring (even the sex scenes were snoozeworthy) and the ending was executed in such a way to be disappointing.
"The best revenge truly is living well". Imogene has lived her life, raising 4 children and keeping a small farm mostly by herself. Her ex-husband left her a couple of years ago and she sunk into a bout of depression, but that changes when her daughter comes home to live with her. Just the trigger she needed to start living again. She makes a lot of changes and with a few twists and turns here and there, starts a relationship with a much younger Eli. "He was everything she'd dreamed about as a young girl, everything she'd hoped to find in the man..." Eli knew Genie was his mate when he smelled her years ago. Now he is just taking things slow as to not scare her off. Life is interesting and nothing ever happens as you plan out. Does Genie accept Eli in her life for more than just the short term? What happens when the secrets of Eli's family come to light? Steamy sexy times ahead, enjoy! I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I loved the fact of an older woman and a much younger man. It was a great read put together with just the right amount of romance and hot sex. Reminding all of us that love comes to all who want it in our life's. Don't push it away because society may say it's wrong always follow your heart.
I loved this book. I want more, in the back is a list of books by this writer. It lists four more in the series but I can not find them. Are they to come or are they out yet?
Not bad. I liked that she was older and it didn't matter to him. I always love wolves and their intensity. This could have been a much longer book. There was a lot going on.
Living a great life after a boring and secluded childhood and marriage is difficult to imagine. Falling for a man young enough to be your son is more difficult to imagine. Can Genie pull herself together to live the kind of life she didn't know she was missing? I have not found one book by Crystal Dawn that I did not like. I really love these white wolves. She puts a lot of danger, intrigue and betrayal, as well as love (lust) into each book. Great story!
