Life is complicated enough without adding attacks on the truth to the list of things making it harder. This small town beach story is a sweet tale of truth being louder than the smoke and mirrors presented when it is spoken confidently. Lindi Lovell has a unique way of telling a story and bringing to life the small town people and way of life. It brings brightness to the shadows and cheer to the mundane. Her writing is a joy to read and I often find myself laughing out loud at the way her characters interact. Their personalities are eccentric and yet necessary to the way of life she writes about. The story of a single billionaire dad bringing up his niece as his daughter and the challenges that involves are part of the intricacies of the story and why truth is so important to the way it evolves. You won't want to miss this latest story from Lindi Lovell. It is joy, struggle, truth vs shading the truth to look like lies, hope, break throughs, and laughter finally escaping.

Grayson Rivers is used to controlling situations…whether professional or personal.

Halley Jameson knows that control Grayson uses all too well.

Nine years has passed since then. His life has changed, he’s a dad now. Halley’s life has changed too and she’s so much more than she was nine years ago when she left Blakely Bay.

Unfortunately, she will have to prove that over and over while she is on assignment to write and photograph a cover feature story for Tide & Travel magazine.

This is a wonderful story rich with southern charm and sass but also a backbone…a refreshing view of a southern woman (and community) that stands up for herself and will not be buffaloed by others.

The southern quips and humor alone make this a must read!

Halley is a strong, resilient heroine who refuses to be intimidated, making her reunion with Grayson all the more satisfying. With memorable Southern sass, touching themes of roots and belonging, and a beautiful epilogue, this was a delightful read.
