When rodeo bronc rider Jackson Walker’s father passes away, he’s shocked to find he’s not the only son of Dusty Walker. His dad had three other families at compass points around the country. When a stipulation in Dusty’s will requires him to live in his dad’s house and work at his company for one week, Jackson heads to Red Creek, Kansas, to get it over with, so he can get the hell back to his regularly scheduled life.

Computer engineer Rori Hughes needs to solidify her position in Dusty’s company, but the only one of his four sons available is Jackson, and Rori has a mighty low opinion of rodeo cowboys. Finding inconsistencies in the computer files, Rori and Jackson work together to solve the mystery, but their constant contact fires a red-hot desire that burns wild between them.

Spending their days at Dusty’s opulent lakeside home and their nights together making love, they both ignore the warning signs that point to their attraction becoming more than merely sexual. Jackson’s time in Red Creek is coming to an end, but can he follow his original plan and leave town, breaking away from smart, beautiful, sexy Rori?

The Sons of Dusty Walker is a series of four books, one about each son, writen by four award winning authors.
There will be mature themes and (I promise) HOT cowboys along with interestng secondary characters and strong plots.

If you have ever experienced a Randi Alexander cowboy novel you know her characters are never afraid to get down and dirty. Things are going to get hotter and hotter!
R.A. never sacrifices a strong plot and keeps her readers deep inside her stories.
Writing a series with multiple authors while staying true to the feel and values throughout the series is a difficult challenge. Randi Alexander (and her coauthors) do a remarkable job.
What results are also four books that strongly stand alone.

After his father's death, at the reading of the will, Jackson Walker discovers he has three half brothers he never knew existed, all with the same father but each from a different woman. Growing up, Dusty Walker had never spent much time at home, explaining that work required externsive travel. When Jackson turned 15 he learned that was not the only reason he had a part time father, but he never imagined he had three brothers, or half-brothers.
Being of a rebellious age, Jackson ran away to the rodeo, which had been something he looked forward to experiencing each year with his dad.
It should be no surprise that as soon as he was able, bronc riding and the rodeo circuit soon became Jackson's chosen way of life. After the reading of the will he assumed he would return to that life.

Aurora Hughes prefers to be called Rori. She runs a computer company, Cyber Wise, that survices D. Walker Mineral Company. Her company's existence depends heavily on remaining in good favors of the company.
When Dusty Walker dies and sons no one even knew existed become the new owners, Rori desperately wants to make a good impression. It is just her luck to come asking about them the week the Rodeo Cowboy son is spending a week trying to learn about the business. Dumb hick doesn't even know how to turn on a computer, but just looking at him has her circuits all firing. When Jackson asks for a tour of her shop, including her living area upstairs, will sparks fly?
Then when they discover some unusual files containing what appear to be bank routing numbers and some high totals, Rori and Jackson must work closely together to find out what is really going on with the company finances.
Jackson is only there for a week and Rori has had a bad impression of Rodeo riders, so should they see where there attraction will lead them? The town is already living on gossip about the two of them.
This is a story about choosing one's own path in life and learning to accept others, especially family, for who they are.

I am willing to bet after reading any one book in the series you will want to return to Red Creek and continue reading. I did receive an advance copy of the four books in exchange for my honest review.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads

This is the second of four books, written by different authors, and I love the premise of the stories. Dusty Walker has just died and four men, of a very similar age find themselves in a lawyer's office together for the first time, being told they are half brothers. Dusty left instructions for their meeting and a requirement that they spend a week in town. Each book deals with a brother.

Jackson has been on the rodeo circuit for a while - and we learn why he doesn't commit to anything more permanent a little-ways into the story. He is a man who does not have much confidence in his knowledge of anything other than rodeo, so when he meets the tall and rather gorgeous IT consultant his father employs, he asks for lessons in computering. Things turn decidedly hot as they give in to their chemistry, but what happens after the week is up ?

We learn more about the mystery that is Dusty Walker, with some uncover investigations - and there is a suggestion that there is more to come. Another well written episode in the unravelling of the mystery behind the Dusty Walker dynasty. And the epilogue reveals a little more. Very enticing stuff - I'm off to read Killian's story!

Life sure sucked sometimes! All Jackson Walker wanted
Was to be the best bronco rider there was to bad his Dad

At his Dad's reading of the will he came face to face with the
reason ... Well three reasons three half brothers by three
different women plus he had a wife ......... Dang this was messed up
Now his Dad was putting demands on him in order to get his
Share.....
Rori Hughes had a contract with Dusty Walker would the new owners
Honor that and could she still have her computer company grow without
Losing her contract, store and home. She had to find out.
To bad she had to deal with the rodeo son........ She hated rodeo man.....
They left their wifes and children behind to survive on their own chasing
Women from city to city not caring .......... Ugh!!!
But was she wrong about Jackson ... Was he more then that did he wat more
Was There more to the company was he finding things that he enjoyed more
Then the rodeo..... Rori she was more than a distraction the Sparks that flew
Between them was better than a 8 second ride or any computer game.......

I received a copy of the ebook in exchange for my honest opinion.

I really enjoyed this book. I have not read the first book in this series or any other besides this one, but I do plan to. I want to know more about each of Dusty's sons.

Jackson found out that his dad had 3 other sons to 3 different woman in different states. He has brothers that he never knew about. His dad died and he has to go to Red Creek, Kansas for the reading of the will. That is definitely a lot to take in. What is his brothers like? Are they like him? Do they all look alike or like his dad? Why didn't they know about one another?

Rori is adorable when she is with Jackson, but will Jackson want to stay put? Will he move on? They both have this chemistry that they can not explain. Will Rori be able to give Jackson up when he leaves? Will Jackson want to leave Rori behind? Read to find out!!

I will be reading the other books in this series. If you have the Kindle Unlimited, these 4 books are a part of that (at the time of me writing this up).

☆☆☆☆☆
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.
Would I recommend this book? Yes! Author? Yes!
Would I read more from this author? Yes! This series? Yes!

Happy Reading!

Nothing beats a sizzling-hot, sexy, alpha cowboy story and The Sons of Dusty Walker: Jackson is a definite must-read.

This well-written, story grabs you in the prologue and doesn't let you go until you've read the very last page. Randi Alexander gives you wonderful characters that you can't help being caught up in their story. Add in a little mystery, a few secrets, and a whole lot of sexual tension between Jackson and Rori, and you got yourself one hot and sexy read!

Randi Alexander gives her readers what they want and so much more. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this awesome series.

I absolutely loved this story. Jackson is one of for men that just found out that they have three other brothers and are inheriting a huge amount of money. There is a catch as always. Jackson is determined to do his one week, then head back out to the rodeo circuit. But the 3 brothers and inheritance isn't the only surprise in his near future.
I adored Jackosn. He is a rough and tumble man with a soft heart.. The story is fast paced, has a few twists and some hot lovin.
So if you're looking for a book to make you laugh, keep you on your toes and a sigh here and there... this is for you. I can't wait to see what these other three brothers are like!

cowboys x 4 what more could a girl want or need!! The 2nd book in the series of four brothers who only discover each other on the death of their father. Each brother tells his own story by a different author!! stroke of genious!!! Jackson's story grips the reader from the prologue, and keeps a tight hold until the epilogue. His story has intrigue, rodeo, sexy encounters, and discoveries about his father and himself, allowing him to believe he can fall in love?? Rori might just be the one for him???? read and discover, highly recommended

Son of a cheater

Jackson's dad had four sons by four women and was married to a fifth. Since he didn't want to be like his dad, Jackson ran from relationships. Forced to spend a week at his dad's place he decided to have fun with Rori. After the week it's time to say goodbye and head back to the rodeo but he's not sure he can say goodbye. Sweet and simple, this is a steamy romance.

He's a rodeo cowboy, foot loose n fancy free. And now he has 3 brothers, and has inherited a million dollar company.
She's a computer geek. And not into cowboys.
But they find something that clicks for both of them.
This is the second book in the "Sons of Dusty Walker" series.
Randi is an amazing author and this is a page turning book in a four book series.

The Sons of Dusty Walker revolves around four brothers, each with their own book. The thing is, none of the brothers had any idea the others existed until Dusty, their father, died and the attorney informed them they were related. Although it wasn't that hard to figure out once they all saw each to other, they all look very similar. They might look similar, but each of them is their own person. In this book we are focused on Jackson.

Dusty created four families in four different states and I'm not quite sure how a person could handle that kind of news, but Jackson does a good job at maintaining some normalcy, even though he is still reeling from the shock. Because of Dusty's will, the brothers each get a quarter of the billion dollar company, but only if they each spend some time learning about the business. Jackson is not a businessman, his focus is on the rodeo and is just biding his time until he can take off. But when Jackson sees Rori, all bets are off.

I love Rori as a character. She is smart, like super smart, and has her own company. She knows Jackson is only there for a short amount of time and doesn't expect much. The attraction between her and Jackson is noticeable right from the start, but there are reasons why they shouldn't pursue a relationship. Only, their attraction to each other is too hot to keep contained and as they work together to solve a problem, they find out how explosive their chemistry is. But how can they possibly have a relationship when Jackson has one foot out the door?

I enjoyed reading about Jackson and Rori. The characters were intriguing, the storyline was beyond interesting, and the story was written well. I really liked how this author gave us some insight into Dusty and why he did what he did. I'm very interested in reading about the other three brothers and will check out their stories as well.

 Wonderfully Entertaining

Jackson is shocked to find out he has three half brothers he didn't know about until he was sitting in his father's attorney's office during the reading of his will. He had known for quite awhile that his dad was married to someone else and that he split his time with his wife and with Jackson and his mom. What he didn't know was he also split his time with three other families. Now he learns about their existence and that their dad wanted them to spend a week working his business and living in this town and it had to be done in the next month. So here he was stuck working in a business he had no interest stuck in a town where he did not want to be, he wanted to be out on the rodeo circuit. In walks Aurora Hughes and now he thinks there might be something to at least keep him from being bored while he was stuck there, oh ya and there is an attraction. Aurora feels the attraction right away but she wants nothing do with a rodeo cowboy, she has sworn off them.
I read this as a proofreader, I love proofreading Randi Alexander's books because she always does such a wonderful job of writing. She rarely has mistakes so you get to enjoy the stories she writes. I really enjoyed Jackson's story, he had so many emotions and feelings of love but disillusionment that it made for a great story. His and Aurora's relationship was so complicated and yet so perfect that you fall in love with both of them.

This is the second book of four about Dusty Walker's sons. Each book can be read as a stand alone. Each book gives you an account about the kind of man Dusty Walker really was. The story opens in each of the books with the sons finding out about each other at the reading of their father's will. It then goes on to tell about each one's week learning about Dusty and the company he has built which is a stipulation in his will for them to inherit their fourth of his company and other assets.

Randi Alexander has written another awesome rodeo cowboy book.

Jackson Walker is a rodeo star, third son, 25 years old and lives in Oregon with his mother. Rori Hughes is the local computer geek. Rori also works for D. Walker minerals and leases a storefront for her computer company. Jackson first meets Rori while she is talking with long time Walker employee Abby and talking about how dumb rodeo cowboys are. Meanwhile, Jackson is in the kitchen and over hears Rori talking and has his boots knocked off his feet. He persuades Rori to give him computer lessons since he knows nothing about them. Jackson and Rori have great chemistry from the beginning.

All 4 books tell how not only their love interest but the rest of the town loved Dusty and what a big generous heart he had. They also learn more about their brothers not only from the housekeeper and cook but from the photo journals of each sons life that Dusty kept. From their birth until the time he dies.

After 2 false starts, I finally finished this book. I'll be honest, it took me a while to get into this book. After I got about 1/3 of the way through I was finally able to get into the book and enjoy it. Was it fanfreakingtastic? No. Was it awful? No. Was it enjoyable? Yes.

This I believe is book 2 of the series and I have not read book 1 yet. I'm debating on going back and starting with book 1. Each book is written by a different author so they can be read as a stand alone. I did however get my curiosity going to see what the others are all about. Well, I know what they are about but do I really want to invest my time in them. More than likely, yes.

The story concept was good, the dialogue between characters flowed well and the descriptions to detail were done nicely. No hearttwinge moments and the sexy bits were okay...not panty melting hotness but that's okay.

Was there a HEA?? Kinda. No declarations of love but hints to it. But then, after all of this happening in 1 week, it's to be expected I guess.

After the false starts, all in all a good read.

Would I recommend this book? Sure

Would I read more from this author? Probably

Would I read the other books in this series? Maybe, I am a bit curious.

The second hot book from the Sons of Dusty Walker Series

Jackson is one of the sons of Dusty Walker. Imagine his surprise when he arrives for the reading of his recently deceased father's will to find that he has three half brothers each with a different mother from different corners of the states. Dusty's wife did not want children, so Dusty had sons far away from where they lived, to spare her any scandal.

Jackson has to come to terms with the fact that his father loved him deeply in spite of his unorthodox ways of getting his children. Add to that the fact that the four brothers are inheriting Dusty's vast fortune with certain stipulations. Each must spend a week learning their father's business. Into the mix comes a gorgeous computer genius in the form of Rori!

Will he stay in the small town or go back to his previous life? Can love overcome all his doubts about his future with his half brothers? This book has hot sex and a great ending! It is definitely a must read for this summer!

This is the second in a series of 4 books. Each half-brother has his own book. Each book is written by a different hot romance writer. The other three writers are: Sable Hunter, Desiree Holt and Jodi Redford.

This is my first time reading a Randi Alexander story and I'm very happy to add another author to my "Must Read" list!

We are introduced to the characters at a pivotal point in their lives. Jackson has just found out that he has three brothers that he never knew about and his recently deceased father expects each of them to have a hand running the family business in a small town. He didn't think he wanted such a change from his rodeo lifestyle. But over the course of the story more is revealed about him and he turns into a very complex likable character. Rori is just as well-written and unique. I liked the way the author played up her differences instead of turning her into any ol' heroine.

And Red Creek ::sigh:: the town and it's lovable inhabitants make it a great setting for this type of story. Everyone knows everything about everybody and to me it makes it a much more homey setting.

I didn't know what to expect when I started the book but I thoroughly enjoyed how it played out and how the story was revealed little by little. I know I will love reading about the rest of the brothers!

This is book 2 in a 4 book series that should be read together. Below are the list of books in this series and the authors who wrote the books:
Dylan (The Sons of Dusty Walker, #1) by Jodi Redford
Jackson (The Sons of Dusty Walker, #2) by Randi Alexander
Killian (The Sons of Dusty Walker Book 3) by Desiree Holt
Rogue (The Sons of Dusty Walker, #4) by Sable Hunter

At the beginning of this series Dusty has just died. Four men who are around the same age as each other are half-brothers but didn’t know it find themselves in a lawyer’s office. There are things the brothers must all must do in order to fulfill a requirement that was requested by Dusty. Each of the books in this series deals with one brother.

Jackson is a bronc rider just wants the week over. That is until a mystery makes him rethink everything. At the end of the week will he be gone back to his old life leaving behind the girl who sets is body on fire?

I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

Jackson

***ARC provided in exchange for honest review***

The Walker Brother's world is turned upside down after the passing of their father and when they go to their father's lawyer for the reading of the will and finds out that they he had families across the country. Furthermore, there's also a stipulation in the will that they must spend time in their father's home (a week) and learn the family business to receive their inheritance.

Jackson is a rodeo bronc rider and can't believe that the man he has always looked up too had three other families across the country. Rori looking for a way to ensure she stays employed with Walker Minerals meets with Jackson and sparks fly, but Rori has vowed not to get involved with rodeo cowboys. While exploring each other they also stumble upon a mystery involving Jackson's father and set out to find out what happen. Each page keeps you intrigued and constantly turning while wondering if these two will have a happily ever after or if one week is enough.

this was an interesting concept, four different men come together at the reading of a will only to find out they are brothers. This is a four part series with each brother getting their own story, this story is Jackson's story. Jackson has been running from life since he was 15 when he found out his father was married to another woman. The rodeo is his life and he wants nothing to do with his fathers business. If he had met the men who were his brothers before their fathers death he might have liked to get to know them but now he just wants it over. Rory has a thing against rodeo cowboys but she can admit that Jackson pushes all her buttons. When they find something fishy in his fathers files they join together to solve the mystery. This was a great short story filled with humor and emotion. It was easy to follow, moved along smoothly and made me smile several times. The characters were interesting, the storyline was intriguing and the sex was sizzling. I look forward to reading up on the rest of the sons of Dusty Walker.

It's week two and now the second son is stepping into Dusty's business and house to meet the stipulation of the will.
Jackson has known since he was 15 that Dusty was married to another woman that wasn't his mother. After spending so long hanging onto every word Dusty spoke, but no more. He runs off and decides to join the rodeo circuit and thus starts his career as a rodeo cowboy.

Rori can't believe out of all the sons she has to talk to she gets the one she already holds a grudge against. But when she first sees him she can't deny the instant attraction.

After his week is up Jackson was so convinced he'd sell off his share and get back to his regular life. But the feelings between him and Rori are too strong to ignore. Can Rori help Jackson see the good his father did, or will his past hurt prevent them from moving forward and having a future?

I am so enjoying The Sons of Dusty Walker series that's being written by four different authors. I finished Jackson's story by author Randi Alexander and it was a really sexy and fun read. I really liked geeky and sassy computer engineer, Rori and her reactions to Jackson's non-computer knowledge had me chuckling. These two had great chemistry and they made such a cute couple. I loved the lighthearted and sexy moments they shared together along with the more serious stuff involving his deceased father and what he left behind. The author captured my attention right from the beginning and I could not stop reading until I reached the end. I would definitely recommend this story and this series.

'Jackson: The Sons of Dusty Walker' by Randi Alexander is a wonderful read. This story picks up where 'Dylan' by Jodi Redford left off. The Sons of Dusty Walker is a collection from four amazing authors about four brothers that first learn of the others after the death of their father. This is Jackson's story. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Jackson and Rori. This story is an excellent addition to this collection. This is a hot page turner. Highly recommend this entire set to all fans of romance and hot cowboys. Looking forward to seeing what happens next with the Walker brothers in 'Killian' by Desiree Holt and 'Rogue' by Sable Hunter.

Jackson's story is book number 2 in the Sons of Dusty Walker series. Each book is written by a different author and are all able to be read as stand alone books. Jackson's story is the first book of the series that I've read, but I look forward to reading the other 3 books. Jackson is a cowboy, always on the move and never intends to give up the rodeo life. Rori is super quirky and captures Jackson's attention from first meeting. Their story is a quick read and full of passion, Jackson's growth as he faces his past issues and a bit of intrigue. Overall this is a great read, and I would recommend it to anyone who loves a hot cowboy (or just loves a good romance).

4 Men find out They are half brothers upon their father's death. In order to inherit the wealth, they have to spend one week in their father's house and run his company. Through a loophole in the Will, each brother takes a week to do his time. The Second week was Jackson.

Jackson is all rodeo. He sees computer as a foreign object. When Rori comes by the office to discuss business, Jackson sees an opening to learn the computer and Rori better.

Together they do more then burn discs, they burn up the sheets.

This is a book to take with you to the beach, because that way when you are sweating from some of the hot scenes in this book people will think it is from the sun! Jackson has a definite chip on his shoulder and his life as he knew it gets shattered. He ends up stuck for a week in a little dirt town and is counting the minutes until he can leave. Then he hears a voice and once he sees the woman attached to the voice, his plans start to get a little cloudy. This was a great quick read and I am looking forward to read more about Dusty's sons.

I read this one out of sequence (gasp!) in the series, but quite honestly it stands fine on its own. I like the idea of 4 authors writing about the same scenario...gives me a chance to try out some new ones. I had read a short by this author before, and found that I liked her style here as well. This was a short novella, and was packed with steamy scenes, but it did manage to convey a bit of plot as well. Good enough that my curiosity about the other brothers was piqued...I'll most likely continue the series.
