Paul’s intense jealousy of his sister Kathleen, becomes clear when he takes it out on her doll Bessie, and it’s carried out in such a methodical and vicious manner. This is one angry young boy, very creepy! Here’s the link http://www.eastoftheweb.com/short-sto...
The subject matter is a bit harsh, but the story itself is very vivid and well-written. The writing style is very good though. It invokes emotions that mostly anyone who has dealt with angry people has experienced.
It isn't a story I recommend to YA but any parent that has an angry child might appreciate the read. It will NOT help you deal with your child's behavior. This is not that kind of book. I believe I call myself a Jamie Cameron fan. So, I will continue reading short stories by this author.
If you try the author's works just be warned that the material may be a bit harsh. I am able to laugh at the word choices used and then within a few lines I can be shocked by the choice of words, but I like that range of emotion.
