Intriguing cli-fi adventure. It focuses on the friendship between two women, both scientists. They bond over a plot to end the "supersoldier" research they are working on, moving to creating a new kind of human who can survive climate change. Living in a time of all-out war of all against all where corporations have more control than governments. Their work becomes harder and harder as destruction rains down upon them. The characters seem real, with great detail and dialog. The setting of a not-so-distant future highlights many contemporary fears. It spooked me with its realism. Overall, very well-done.
Under the Bubble captivated me from the first chapter, blending description and action into a future that is both fantastical and completely plausible. I highly recommend this book
