A loner by choice and a renegade by nature.
Rogue is living up to his name. He’s lived life on his own terms, doing everything from team-roping in college, Texas Hold ‘em champion to founding his own company, Lone Wolf Oil.
Everything he’s accomplished has been in spite of Dusty Walker, a man who sired four sons by four women – none of them his wife. Rogue might be following in his father’s footsteps, but he is nothing like his father.
And he never will be if he can help it.
When he flies to Kansas for the reading of Dusty’s will, three brothers and a quarter interest in a half-billion dollar business aren’t all he finds…Rogue feels like he’s been hit by a tornado after he walks into a room and finds a woman in his bed. Not just any woman, either…
The last time he saw Kit Ross, she was racing off in her truck leaving him naked and hard by the side of the road. Of course, he deserved it; he’d hurt her. To say she wasn’t happy to see him was an understatement. And when he wins her ranch with a good poker hand, the game is on.
It’s not just poker that’s being played. They can’t keep their hands off one another. Rogue doesn’t know if he has room in his life for family and love. He doesn’t know if he can be trusted with people’s hearts and happiness. What if he’s more like Dusty Walker than he ever knew?
The Sons of Dusty Walker. Four brothers – one tainted legacy and a wild, wild ride.

This book made me laugh until I feel off my stationary bike! Yeah it was great and the first part was way more enjoyable then the second. I loved their tension before they sleep together. Their sex life was great don't get me wrong but I loved how they fight and talk to each other before the sex is involved. Kit was an awesome heroine and she is worth the 5 stars. The hero not so much. He is an asshole at first that humiliated her in front of the whole town. She gets even and I loved that. But he is still basically the same self centered person he always was and just comes to the realizing that she was awesome at the end. I don't like that it took him so long. Why the wait? I did not love his character as much. He was pessimistic and an ego centric with a chip on his shoulder from being a bastard. What is this 1950!?
The whole of the story great, the sex scene smoking and the heroine fantastic.
Recommend and keeper.

4·5 stars! Great hot story that made you keep reading it. Although this was a series, you could read it as standalone.

H said sth rude about h in public several years ago. Instead of licking her wounds, h did sth back to him that made me admire her personality more!

When they met again, H was no jerk anymore, although h did sth funny to him again , he did everything to help her when she needed help. Not to mention how hot their relationship became.

Really great story! Recommend to those who love to read Sable Hunter's stories!

I absolutely loved this story by Sable Hunter. Rogue and Kit have a painful history and when they come face to face again, the sparks are still there. He's trying to come to grips that he has 3 half brothers and the 4 of them are the heirs of their father's multi million dollar businesses. Rogue never expects to see Kit again and has always regretted what happened in their past. Kit is trying to keep her father's ranch running but someone is out to destroy everything and she's in danger. Can Rogue figure out what is going on and can he straighten things out with Kit before anything happens to her? Betrayal, intrigue and danger is all around them. I loved the feelings in this book and how Kit didn't give in that easy to Rogue again, even though she really wanted too. Now I need to find the other books about Rogue's three brothers and read them!

Rogue is the final book in The Sons of Dusty Walker series. And probably my favorite of all the books in the series. This book was written by the Amazing Sable Hunter. She has a knack for writing and storytelling. She knows how to grab you from the very beginning to the very end.

The two main characters in this book are Rogue Walker and Katherine (Kit) Ross. They both come from the rodeo world and competed against each other in the bulldog event. Rogue is the next to oldest son at the age of 26 and lives in Texas. Rogue is more like his father than any of the other brothers. Rogue has a start up company, Lone Wolf Oil, which is similiar to D. Walker Minerals.

This story is written a little different from the others. After Rogue finds Kit asleep naked in his room at the White-wing Ranch we are taken back to their college rodeo days as Rogue remembers his encounters with Kit. Rogue was shocked by his friend Elijah when Elijah tells him that he has fixed Rogue up on a blind date with Kit. Needless to say Rogue is an a-hole in his early days of dealing with Kit. But Kit gets SWEET REVENGE on Rogue. Rogue is at Kit's family ranch for a card game where he wins a bank note from the step father. But he offers to step in and be a partner and help Kit and her mother out of their financial problems.

When Rogue starts bad mouthing Dusty in front of Marliss and Lou (the housekeeper and cook), they put their foot down and shows him the photo diary of Rogue's whole life. They tell him he needs to read Dusty's journals to find out how and why he got his name. Rogue reads everything he can find at the office and finally finds what he has been looking for. This also helps him solve the financial problems for kit.

This book has so much character. I could go on and on about how wonderful this story is but you need to read this book. There is an awesome love story between Rogue and Kit, there's a great suspense story and the love between Rogue and his mother seems to be unconditional. Some old favorites make a guest appearance....Zane Saucier and Aaron McCoy from the Hell Yeah series.

Imagine not knowing you had three step-brothers until you walk into a lawyers office, to hear the reading of your fathers will and are met by three faces that look very similar to your own. This is just what happened to Rogue Walker. He didn't want to know his brothers and he didn't want to follow in his father's footsteps, even though he is the one most like his father. Stipulations of the will, states that each son must spend a week in Dusty Walker's office and home in Kansas, although neither son is happy about that. With his mind still reeling from all that he has learned about his family, he meets a woman from his past, and he decides that time spent in Kansas may not be so bad after all. Katherine Ross, better known as Kit, cannot believe her luck, with Rogue staying at her family's ranch, she wants him gone and now. Their first date had turned out to be a fiasco, one that Rogue or Kit will never forget, but hopefully one that they might be able to put behind them. Kit is a woman not afraid to stand up for herself, and she sure doesn't mind putting Rogue in the hot seat, and watching him squirm. This is a must read for all romance lovers, you have to follow Rogue and Kit as they try to find their way in a world full of surprises. Once again in true Sable Hunter fashion, she includes a character from her Hell Yeah series, this time it was Zane. I always love getting another glimpse of her characters from other books. The way she writes always brings her characters alive, and when she includes one of them in another book, it's almost like going home, to see old friends and family!! I highly recommend this book.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads

This is the final book of the four book series, written by different authors, and I love the premise of the stories. Dusty Walker has just died and four men, of a very similar age find themselves in a lawyer's office together for the first time, being told they are half brothers. Dusty left instructions for their meeting and a requirement that they spend a week in town. Each book deals with a brother.

For me the message of this book was both family, and hope. These guys have been thrown a real curve-ball when they meet each other, and as we've met each one individually, we have learned how an absent father affected them - the latest news is even more dramatic. Rogue tries to live up to his name, but actually, just like the others, when he falls, he falls hard - and gives us scorching hot reading to enjoy. As this is the fourth story, we sort of have an expectation - which could easily be somewhat repetitive, but in fact Ms Hunter gives us a different slant, which retains the freshness of the romance.

Loved reading about all these brothers - and rather hope that we get a catch up story sometime soon - as they were a breath of fresh air. (hint hint)

'Rogue: The Sons of Dusty Walker' by Sable Hunter is a fantastic read. The Sons of Dusty Walker is a collection from four amazing authors about four brothers that first learn of the others after the death of their father. This is Rogue's story. I absolutely loved getting to know Rogue and Kit. As usual Sable Hunter has written a story that pulls you in from the very beginning. This story is smoking hot, has some down right hilarious moments, and will leave you sighing. This is an excellent addition to this collection. Highly recommend this entire set to all fans of romance, hot cowboys. I'm beyond excited that these amazing authors, Jodi Redford, Randi Alexander, Desiree Holt and Sable Hunter have decided to write more about these Walker brothers. I can't wait to read the next set of books!

Wild ride

This is the 4th book in The Sons of Dusty Walker series. The boys are all the same they fight love at any cost. Rogue starts out as a conceited man, who doesn't look at the whole package, he just sees the wrapping and doesn't want it. Kit is hurt by Rogue's comments and gets her revenge twice(I didn't like the second times that was done to hurt him)The one thing I can say about this book is it doesn't just jump into the week that he has to spend in RedCreek we do get a little bit more and this book has a lot of Hot Sex.

Great read

This is a wonderful story. Sable Hunter has written a delightful story about Rogue and Kit. They knew each other in college and then reconnected several years later. I enjoyed all of the sons of Dusty Walker and would recommend these books to everyone.

I have always LOVED Sables writing. She has a way of holding the reader in the palm of her hand and keeps them turning the pages.
I have not been reading for awhile, but all of a sudden another author had a book I read and then I reached for one of Sables. This is part of a series and now I'm on to another one, not reading them in order, although I don't think you have to.
Rogue is a very interesting book. This young man finds out that he has 3 other brothers and had inherited a million dollar company. He's a bit pissed that his "father" never seemed to have a lot of time to spend with him and his mother and now he knows why. The brother's are summoned to a small town in Kansas and asked to full fill a few things and get to know each other. And he meets up with a former girl that he had known from his past.

Kit had been a member of a college roping team and had a bad experience with Rogue years ago. Her father had been killed in an accident and her mother remarried to a man she doesn't like. Rogue shows up and fur flies. But she needs help with a few things and I guess you will have to read the book to find out how things end up. It's a great book, a page turner.

Getting over old pain

Years ago Rogue hurt and embarrassed Kit and she made him pay. Now they meet again in bad circumstances. He wants to apologize but she doesn't believe him. As he helps her with some issues they become close. This book focused much more on Rogue and Kit and Kit's problems than Rogue's situation with his deceased father, his father's company and Rogue's brothers. The Walker stuff really didn't come into play which is a shame because I liked the supporting characters in the previous books. In the end that was all wrapped up but it was just a small part. As always this author's story was good and I liked Kit and Rogue, I was enjoying this series though and wish it had fit better into that and dealt more with Rogue's reconciliation with his father's actions. The previous books had a letter from the father to each son that made them see the love but this one didn't.

Rogue

Finding out he has 3 other step brothers on top of an inheritance. The last thing Rogue is looking for is love but that is exactly what he found in Kit. Family comes in many forms.

The Sons of Dusty Walker is a series of four books, one about each son, writen by four award winning authors.
There will be mature themes and HOT cowboys along with interestng secondary characters and strong plots.

Growing up with a part time father made Rogue feel that he and his mother were unloved and under appreciated.
He felt Dusty Walker put work before family. As a result, Rogue Walker always had an untamed streak to his personality.
He did not see family in his future because he felt he was flawed and he would not let people down as his father had. Rogue is a gambler - from his rodeo days to wildcatting and speculating in oil, to playing Texas hold'em Poker, Rogue loved things with strategy involved, and instinct. Rogue has a fascinating instinct.
Besides, what kind of parent saddles their child with a name like Rogue?

In the books about Dusty's other sons, the story focuses mainly on the week each spends in Red Creek getting acquainted with the local community and their father's company. Second in age son Rogue's story also starts at the reading of Dusty's will but then takes a flashback approach after Rogue finds a woman (ala the fable of The Three Bears) sleeping au naturel in his bed. Six years earlier, a very untamed Rogue had been on the rodeo circuit being chased by Buckle Bunnies. He was a team bull roper, one event that allowed both male and female competitors.
His partner set him up on a blind date and let's just say Rogue's bad behavior resulted in him being "exposed" to the consequences. It was a night he would never forget.

Meeting Rogue Wlker again, and in her own home, was as bitter sweet for former bull roper Kit Ross as a cyanide laced chocolate eclair. To say her anger had faded over the years would be exaggerating. It seems her lust for him had not diminished either. When her future ends up in Rogue's hands, Kit will do whatever it takes to regain control over her life. The trouble is, Kit isn't really sure what she wants.

The other big difference between this fourth book and the other wonderfully written installments in the series (it is truly amazing how well these four authors brought the complete story together) is the addition of the plot surrounding the double dealing deception of Kit's stepfather. Dave had been friends of Kit's parents and Dusty Walker. He resented them all for wealth he felt cheated out of. Dave's resentment and desire for retaliation creates danger for those Rogue cares about.

Emotions blaze hot as Hades between Rogue and Kit even if neither trusts the other.
That incident from six years earlier keeps rearing its ugly head no matter who tries to smooth it over.
Sable Hunter writes scenes so hot I am amazed the pages don't burst into flames!
(Yes, ereaders can melt)
Each book in this series has a strong theme of FAMILY.
Rogue's issues over trust and forgiveness are covered too.

I am willing to bet after reading any one book in the series you will want to return to Red Creek and continue reading. I did receive an advance copy of the four books in exchange for my honest review.

Another Great Son of Dusty Walker

I think Rogue is my favorite of the four sons of Dusty Walker. All four were great guys but there was just something about Rogue I liked a little more. Like the other three brothers he is not happy to find out about three brothers he didn't know existed, nor about the stipulation that makes him have to spend a week in Red Creek, his father's home and learning the business. He already understands a lot about the business since he has started his own business similar to his fathers. While he is in town for the reading of his dad's will, he decides to take in a poker game at a nearby ranch. He finds a woman in his bed, a woman he had known 6 yrs prior. A woman he has not been able to forget and he wants to get to know better.
Rogue and Kit are a very hot couple with some very hot sex. There is so much more than sex, there is suspense and intrigue along with a lot of emotion that makes this a fantastic book to read.
I admire all four authors as they all stayed true to the premise and did a great job with each their stories. You could choose to read one or all four of these stories as they really could be stand alone but I would recommend reading all four because they are all great books.

Rogue

***ARC provided in exchange for honest review***

The Walker Brother's world is turned upside down after the passing of their father and when they go to their father's lawyer for the reading of the will and finds out that they he had families across the country. Furthermore, there's also a stipulation in the will that they must spend time in their father's home (a week) and learn the family business to receive their inheritance.

Rogue is the last of the brother to fulfill his father's stipulation and more than likely the one to fill his shoes in the family company. But just like his brothers he refuses to take over because he angry and disappointed in Dusty. After the reading of the will he decides to stay a day a hunting lodge and relax before returning home and runs into Kit who he humiliated back in the day because he was young and dumb and regrets it but too little too late. Kit has never gotten over what Rogue has done and even though he apologizes it takes effort and trust to establish a truce. I guess also the fact that he good with his hands and mouth doesn't hurt either. Once again this was another story that makes you realize that love comes when it's ready not when you're ready.

4 star

This is book 4 in a 4 book series that should be read together. Below are the list of books in this series and the authors who wrote the books:
Dylan (The Sons of Dusty Walker, #1) by Jodi Redford
Jackson (The Sons of Dusty Walker, #2) by Randi Alexander
Killian (The Sons of Dusty Walker Book 3) by Desiree Holt
Rogue (The Sons of Dusty Walker, #4) by Sable Hunter

At the beginning of this series Dusty has just died. Four men who are around the same age as each other are half-brothers but didn’t know it find themselves in a lawyer’s office. There are things the brothers must all must do in order to fulfill a requirement that was requested by Dusty. Each of the books in this series deals with one brother.

Rogue is a loner. He is the most like his father. He was going to do his week and leave but when a woman from his past turns up all bets are off. If he could love he would try and love this woman but can he love or is he truly a chip off the old block?

I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

Rogue is probably my favorite of all the brothers.
Rogue lives up to his name. He prefers to be by himself and isolate himself from any emotional connections. With only getting to see his dad 10 weeks out of the year he set out to make a name for himself. Whether it was team ropin in college, Texas Hold 'em, or starting his own oil company Lone Wolf Oil. He may be the most like his dad, but he will never be him. Rogue refuses to get emotionally attached to anyone and has no intentions of having kids.

In college Kit Ross though Rogue was her "Rogue Angel", but after overhearing some heartbreaking words about her from Rogue she gets revenge. The naked kind. Now years later Rogue is a guest at her Ranch and after a poker game, where her step-father bet the ranch, he now owns it.

Rogue doesn't do love, but he can't seem to stop thinking about Kit and a possible future with her. Will they be able to see past their hurts done to each other in past or are they bound to be alone.

You definitely want to get to know Rogue Walker!!

Imagine learning, at the death of your father, that you have not just one, but three brothers, and you ALL have different mothers? And THAT is just the beginning of the surprises that await Rogue Walker when he finds himself in Kansas for the reading of his father's will. Add to this surprise the appearance of a woman from his past and he is in for one heck of an adventure and Rogue getting much more than he ever imagined as he gains siblings he never knew he had as well as THE woman he didn't realize he needed.

It's not an easy journey for Rogue as he comes to terms with all these changes in his life, but he finds his way and definitely softens his heart along the way.

A fantastic novel in The Sons of Dusty Walker collection written by one of my favorite writers, Sable Hunter, that is filled with emotion, fun and of course, lots of passion.

I loved Rogue's story in The Sons of Dusty Walker series by author Sable Hunter. Rogue has always felt like his name meant he was supposed to be a loner and avoided marriage at all costs. He has a very tumultuous past history with Kit due to her overhearing him saying hurtful things. Now, Rogue is the only man who can help save her home. I really enjoyed their complicated relationship and that they had to work on trusting each other despite the past. I liked the lengths Rogue went to in order to help Kit out. These two had incredible chemistry and the sex was smokin' hot. This series has been amazing and I loved the different writing styles of each author who wrote a story for each brother.

Wow, I loved this series, but especially this brother's story. All four writers did an amazing job, retaining their style and individuality with each brother, but melding the stories with this finale. I love Sable Hunters books, so a little biased, but Rogue and Kits story took me through their emotional journey, steamy passion which had been simmering for years!! The intrigue around her step-father and her father's promise a long with Rogue coming to terms with Dustys actions, the business and his instant family. I laughed, yelled, sighed, gasped in shock and horror, topped it off crying so this is a must read

This storyline really interested me. Rogue being a loner and afraid of becoming his father tugged at my heart. The passion between Rogue and Kat despite their tumultuous past was off the charts. I loved the little nicknames that Rogue uses for Kat. Sable just has a way with bringing her characters to life. Rogue is so sexy and is the perfect guy that you want to tame. The references to her Hell Yeah series were great as well. I loved it. This series is great. I highly recommend you read all of these.

Rogue Walker was a lone wolf but his Kit had a rope that was much quicker than he. Being more like his father in the ways that counted is what made Rogue the stallion in which he ropped in college but it also helped in being a partner and savior to the woman that stole the blood from his brain with a little red dress in a field of poison ivy.

Yep, this installment in the series was spicy but also a much different approach from the others. Rogue Walker held true to his words and his heart but it seems that the town is in for another week with the arrogant Walker Boys Gang.

I love all of Sable's books and this is another on my list. Sable has written book 4 in THE SONS OF DUSTY WALKER. 4 books by 4 authors about 4 brothers. What a great read! I got to hear from Zane from her HELL YEAH! series and even Aron's name came up a few times. The sparks are hot and easily ignited between Rogue and Kit. Some mystery, intrigue and hot sex. A lot of love for the late Dusty Walker in this small town helps his sons deal and heal. Of course, the women help a lot also.

Rogue: The Sons of Dusty Walker by Sable Hunter is a fantastic story, told by a master storyteller. Sable Hunter has gifted her readers with a well written book full of drama, humor, action and smokin' hot sex. I enjoyed Rogue and Kit's story and loved the characters. Rogue is book 3 in The Sons of Dusty Walker series but can be read as a stand alone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I look forward to reading more from Sable Hunter.

What an ending!!

Sable "tied up" the anthology perfectly. Not since "Badass" has she written an interesting domineering male hero. I would love for Rogue to meet Isaac. We need more Walker Brothers. Jody, Desiree, Randi and Sable. This book is a great stand alone, but even more so in the anthology.
