As the grogginess starts to fade I notice how dark my room is. My bedroom door must be closed. I never shut my bedroom door, I do not like or feel safe in the darkness. My stomach now flopping with with fear as I get the sudden feeling that I am not alone in the dark. Scanning my room with my eyes open only to slits. I spot a shape across the room, tucked in the shadows, it's watching me. Whatever this is it has realized I have spotted it and has now started to glide toward me...I never when in search of the dead but it seems the dead has come in search of me. Join me on my journey of spirit and ghost exploration but you might want to leave the light on.
Exie Smith is just a peach of a woman. I've met Exie at Paranormal and Book Events throughout Michigan; I've seen her speak and give presentations and she's always so engaging. Collected here are some of her stories and encounters with the paranormal, especially her blooming psychic abilities and clairvoyance. My one critique is the organization of the book, I believe an editor could have done a better job of arranging the stories closer to chronological order than it is now with jumps in time and references to introductions made several chapters later. However, Exie has collected a lot of light stories here, nothing too heavy, and delivers them in a conversational way as if you're at the cafe together swapping paranormal tales.
3.5 Any complaint I have about this book is regarding format. Some parts get repetative and I don’t think they would if this was written chronologically instead of grouped by type of experience. Especially regarding the authors progress as a psychic.
However, it’s wonderful to not feel alone or crazy in regards to the paranormal. I’ve met Exie and she is very kind.
