Loved, loved, loved this conclusion to the Untouched series. The Christian elements were so powerfully and yet naturally portrayed. This book was intense (in a good way) and kept us flying through the chapters to see how everything would come together. The character arcs and what Marit and Cas learned by living history were my favorite part. This is a wonderful series for teens and up—highly recommend.

4 stars. Wow, this was an intense ending! I was a bit worried there for a while 😉 Genuinely, I spent a good deal of time wondering how on earth the author would figure things out, but I was quite satisfied. I loved the resolution to the romance, and the reappearance of Zander (FINALLY!!), and the lovely message. The time travel explanation made my head spin but I enjoyed the meeting... and most of all, I'm very pleased with how this book honours those who lived through WWII. I'm very fond of serial stories, so I really enjoyed that aspect; and I also really appreciated how wholesome it is while still perfectly honest—a great series for teens. Well done to this author.

If books 1 and 2 are 5 star reads, then this one is 6 stars.

Oh my goodness, I devoured this in two sittings (just because I couldn’t do it in one … against my will, of course, lol).

The historical feel is amazing.

I had so many emotions reading this book! Without giving spoilers, in these particular scenes:
- The scene where they all decided to go for food.
- Harm
- the act that severed Espen’s and Annalies’s relationship (which I suspected but hoped to be wrong)

There are stronger Christian comments on page in this book than the other two, but it felt perfectly timed. I loved how a short salvation message was woven in.

By the time I got to the end, I felt like everything had been satisfactorily explained (even though yes, my head spins at figuring out the whole time travel angle), and it really did feel like a happily ever after.

Such a great YA series for readers who love history plus the fun imagination of time travel.

This series by Sarah Everest is amazing. I read this book in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. It is historical fiction with a time travel twist. Marit is and American 17 year old that traveled to the Netherlands with her older brother to meet Cas, the Urban Explorer, in the Netherlands. Cas and Marit Time travel to 1940 as the Netherlands is being invaded by the Germans in WWII. The historical fiction of WWII and what the people experienced is well portrayed.

Sarah leaves you wanting more at the end of each book. I can't wait for the next book. The underlying lessons about life when times are really hard, are handled well. Sarah inspires us in her books to put put Christ first and others second. Don't we all need to be reminded of this? You will love this series!! Each installment in the Untouched serial series is more taut and exciting than the last!

Breaking Triviality was a fun adventure. Sifting Through Chaos turned serious fast. And Setting Time Free was so suspenseful that I read the second half of the book in one sitting!

Even more so than Sifting Through Chaos, this book brought to life the heartbreak and horror of war. There are on-page deaths and some realistic descriptions of the struggle to find food and remain humane in the midst of scrabbling for survival.

As a whole, this serialized trilogy is a thrilling, suspenseful adventure story for teens that I very much enjoyed.

Wow this book was… intense. It feels a bit like the first one was the warm up, with book two we’re starting to jog and book 3 is definitely a sprint. Okay my comparison stinks, but I hope you get what I mean.

The stakes get higher with each book and the emotions run deeper.

I was completely invested in these characters and their well being. There were several scenes that broke my heart but the book didn’t leave me devastated. I can’t say much without spoilers so I’m just saying this: Despite all the trauma these characters are experiencing, they never lose their faith, hope and trust in God.

I can’t recommend this series enough. Setting time free a suspenseful and heartfelt historical novel with wonderful and relatable characters. The series highlights values like sacrifice, forgiveness and redemption. I loved the historical setting and the mystery element of time travel, the faith messages and the budding romance.

It’s a wonderful conclusion to a series that I can’t wait to share with my kids one day!

Book two was important to develop the story, the characters and build up suspense, but it left me wanting more and I sure got it in book 3!
The suspense was so good and the time travel piece was so interesting if not leaving me a little confused, I had to read it twice.
I almost didn’t continue reading the series after book 2 but I’m so glad I did!
There are definitely surprising elements in this book and I loved the message of faith that came out more strongly in this book. A great series for YA! I enjoyed it!

I absolutely loved this series. I'm actually sad that it's over! I'd love more books with Cas and Marit traveling to different times while getting more back story on the time traveling devices, etc. This series got me interested in history, which is a subject I've always struggled with and found boring. I highly recommend reading the author's notes at the end of the book as well.

Pleaaaaaaase write more books with Cas and Marit ❤️❤️❤️

I loved the conclusion to this series. I hope someday the three books will be one book. I think teens and older will love it. The book had faith in Christ and putting him first. I loved learning about history. I hope Everest writes more of historical history time travel.
