Loved the story

I love a good Christian book, I loved the love Journey and Tristian had for one another, sometimes things will test our faith but it’s up to us to stay strong and keep the faith.

Another beautifully woven story!

Shari’s second installment in the series was awesome—a beautiful tale of redemption, forgiveness, and God’s grace!

I truly enjoyed it! Can’t wait to read the final book!

I can truly say that this book took me on an emotional roller coaster. At the beginning Trent had me so upset with him by the way he was treating and speaking to Journey that had her feeling insecure and thinking about going under the knife. His words were verbally, mentally, and emotionally abusive to Journey and I really began detesting him very much.

I really didn’t like the fact that Trent used porn as a stress reliever outlet and had an emotional affair with his ex-fiancé, Christina, to the point that they were having phone séx. I can respect the fact that he never crossed the line and physically cheated and pushed her away when she did try to kiss him but just like Trent’s friend, Tim, stated, she shouldn’t have been able to get in his space to even feel comfortable enough to be able to in the first place. Christina tried to cause discord between Trent and Journey. I was glad that Trent blocked her and changed his number to cease all communications with her. I like how Journey shut Christina all the way down and then The Ended the whole conversation.

What resonated with me the most was Trent recognizing and dealing with the root to when his porn addiction began. In order to truly receive deliverance and healing from sin we must identify the root causes of sin from the beginning. It’s just like cutting down tree to a stump. It’s eventually going to grow back because the roots are still growing as a matter of fact, wider and longer in different directions. You have to dig up the roots as well to get rid of the whole tree.

It’s sad that hurt people, hurt people and his older cousin, Karina, abused him because she was being abused herself. I totally agree with Trent disassociating with his mom for not respecting his boundary especially when he was still going through his healing process. I didn’t like when his mom dismissed the idea that Karina had been abused as well because statistics show that most abusers have been abused themselves.

I like the fact that Trent put in the work to heal spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally to be a better Christian, husband, and father and Journey had to stop pressuring Trent and herself that they had to be perfect because no perfect person exists except Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. They both allowed the Holy Spirit to minister and guide them into wholeness and fleeing from sin. They enemy tried to get Journey to get her lick back with Brickell Gold but she shut him down each time letting him know that she respected the vow she made to God, her husband, their marriage, and herself.

Trent and Journey put in the work to make their marriage last and be better by tearing down the sin, lies, and false sense of perfection to building a solid foundation built on God, prayers, truth, open communication, and love. Marriage is a beautiful thing when both husband and wife put in the work together as a unified, praying couple.

Okay, I can’t wait to read Clarity and Breon’s book next especially when Journey asked her how she got a bruise on her ankle and she stated she got it when she kicked the wall by accident when her and Breon were pretending like she was a mental patient that escaped from the psych ward🤣🤣

Ooh Miss Ma’am

Journey’s story had me so emotionally invested and so ready to see what was going to happen next. Trent had been having a tough time and even strayed away from his marriage in more ways than one. That chick Christina pissed me off to no end however Trent did open the door for it. Hearing Trent share his story about what happened to him wasn’t easy things like that never are. I’m glad he and Journey were able to move past all the hurt and get back to who they were as a couple under God. I’m happy Journey didn’t act out of anger too much esp after the damage Trent caused. I’m even happy Pastor Mich created The Weight Room as a safe space for the men to talk about any traumas they have experienced. Men today need spaces like that to know and feel that they are not alone in what they may have gone through. This book was very good and I can’t wait to read Clarity’s story next. You definitely did your thang Shari. Keep these good reads coming 😊

Hidden Teams Comes Out Eventually!

Shari Brown, what a great read!. You have reminded us that everything we see isn't always what it is. The lessons and gems you have bestowed upon us with this read should really be healing for some of us. Marriage isn't something that should ever be taken for granted. Sometimes things happen and you just don't know what to do. When we play with God and do what we want to cover up a traumatic situation if we don't get a handle on it the devil will have a field day.
Thank you for Journey realizing that being perfect is impossible. Being imperfect is what makes us real. You always have us thinking about how men go through trauma silently and its such a hard thing for them to open up and begin to heal. Great job!!!!🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Journey and Trent

An inspiring story of redemption, forgiveness, repentance, second chances and family support
You will find all of the above in Trent and Journeys story
Shari did a great job in showing the reader that finding the root causes that cost you to do the wrong thing will set it right
It could be something from your childhood that you buried so deep you forgot about it. But unfortunately it didn’t forget you
The way to be free is what Shari brings to light through this couple
Great job Shari
Continue to let yourself be used to build the kingdom

Great read

I really enjoy the Christian writing styles giving us the biblical way of how to love and navigate life’s challenges. Journey was a Christian woman who lived her life on biblical teachings and her husband Trent tried to as well, but as humans we fall short sometimes. Forgiveness and working through issues shows strength and real faith. This book was everything loved how you show us in your writing trust in God and everything will workout. Job well done

different 📚 than my norm

Im so used to reading mob, thug love books. This definitely gave me a different type of vibe. I enjoyed this Christian based book. Journey did go through a roller-coaster of emotions. But in the end things happened as God would of seen fit for her and her family.

Great read

YES CONVICTION WITH GOD! This was a great book showing how through Christ all things are possible. I love how Journey believed in God an didnt let the devil lead her away. At first Trenton was a dog now look at him. He was sick when she left him but couldn't treat her right. I bet he can now lol. Cant wait for the next read!
