Rachel’s POV
Other than a dozen or so motorcycles backed up at the front of the bar, all seemed quiet for an early Friday afternoon. Stone pulled in at an angle, backing into a spot close to the entrance. He cut the engine and held his hand back, to help me off, I assumed. Once I was standing I reached up to undo my helmet. He dismounted and swung my way, watching me. I tried not to let his silent scrutiny bother me, but that was hard to do when I was pretty sure that what I saw in his dark eyes was arousal. I finally got the strap undone and offered him the helmet, staring right back at him while ignoring the slow heat that was crawling up my neck and spreading to cheeks.
He took the helmet, set it on his seat, and then opened the saddle bag for my bag. As he did this the three men who’d been traveling with us walked up. I wasn’t afraid to meet their eyes, dealt with assholes like them every day, and I wasn’t about to let them intimidate me. They simply smirked at me, and one of them reached for the door.
“Pit Bull.” Mutt or Jeff, I couldn’t tell which, halted and turned back to us. Stone held my bag out to him. “Put this in my room.”
Pit Bull’s smirk turned into a full-fledged grin, and he winked at me, taking the bag from Stone. The bastard! I knew what he was thinking. I waited until he’d disappeared inside before returning my gaze to Stone. Like Pit Bull’s, I knew that the sexy smile on his face was at my expense. He knew what was going through my mind, and I could tell that he was waiting for me to react.
I slammed my hands on my hips. “Your room? And just where will you be sleeping?” I wanted to make it clear from the start that it wouldn’t be with me.
He leaned against his bike and crossed his arms. “I barely have enough rooms for my men, so we’ll be sharing, sweetheart.”
“Like hell we will! I’ll sleep on a couch somewhere.” There was no way that I was sharing a bed with him. Something told me that if I did, we wouldn’t be getting much sleep. I wasn’t stupid. When he’d kissed me back at Maddie’s it may have started in anger, but it had ended in full-blown passion, and there’d been no denying that he’d had a serious hard-on.
I could tell that Stone didn’t like me arguing with him. Well, that was just too damned bad! He could lean against his big-ass Harley with his bulging arms crossed over his massive chest and that smoldering look in his eyes till it snowed. I may want him, because he was hot as hell, but he didn’t have to know that. I wasn’t here to provide that kind of service.
Eyes the color of black coffee took a slow ride over my body, and I got the impression that Stone was sizing me up—not for a fight, but for something entirely different. It was sexual. I kept my hands on my hips in a silent challenge, even as my nipples peaked beneath his hard look. The traitors were actually tingling, and that sharp feeling of need zeroed right down to my sex, which was still buzzing from the bike ride there.
Holy shit, I should have never glanced down at the front of his pants, because now I was on fire. “No way are we sharing a bed,” I repeated, in a tone that was clearly a little weaker than before.
“Then you can share a room with one of my brothers, but you won’t be sleeping on any couch out in the open where any man can claim you.”
“What kind of choice is that?”
“The only one you’ll get here,” he snapped back.

I love Tory Richards' writing. Her hero's are hot and scary and that really works for me.

Rachel has gotten herself into a tricky situation. Fearing for her sister’s well-being, she knee-jerked an agreement to pose as collateral for a local MC. Her idiot brother-in-law foolishly stole from them thinking he wouldn’t get caught and put his wife – Rachel’s sister, Maddie – in danger. Now Rachel is on her way to a new life for a specified amount of time to both work off the debt and stay under the thumb of the MC; especially it’s ridiculously sexy, dangerous leader. She can’t begin to explain the intense attraction she feels toward Stone and she’s likely not going to be able to resist him for long. Despite her precarious situation, Stone is already occupying too much of her thoughts and fantasies. But a deal is a deal. She won’t turn tail and hide. When she accidentally overhears a conversation which more than likely poses an even greater threat to the safety of herself and Maddie, she risks leaving the MC to try an avoid the inevitable dangerous confrontation. She’s always had to rely on herself and taking orders from Stone; being under his protection; quickly becoming more than just a fling; is an entirely new experience for her. If she doesn’t learn to concede to Stone’s laws, she probably isn’t looking at a very long life span.
Stone is livid. Rachel continues to defy him at every opportunity. He understands her reasoning, but he’s trying to keep her and the MC safe and her foolhardy decisions are creating more havoc than should be occurring. Either way there is going to be a confrontation with Wildman. Nothing Rachel does will keep that from happening. MCs have rivals and many times that translates to fights. It’s the lifestyle. Keeping Rachel safe from herself and others is just the beginning of his problems though. The feisty temptress has completely muddled his brain. She’s all he can think of. A stranger to feelings this intense, he tries to bury the feelings as desire, and the simple explanation it provides. But soon even Stone can’t deny it’s gone way beyond lustful attraction. Stone is a hard ass, but as the leader of the MC, he has no other choice. He has to put the MC above all else. Every decision he makes affects his men; men who expect him to have their backs. If Rachel doesn’t capitulate to Stone’s demands and learn to trust him, he’s going to be forced into a decision he is loath to make.
OK – so I really dislike the book blurb. It doesn’t summarize much of anything and forget about drawing a reader in. What caught me was the cover and the fact that I picked this deliciously rough read up free. I have read a couple of MC books in the past – not many – but a few. Most of the time they possess a similar theme including rival MCs, a hard-ass leader, tough as nails members, MC above all else, and the woman who sets everything on tilt. I have noticed that these women don’t usually tame their men. Instead, they achieve a balance between respect for the MC and the love for their man. Never mind that describing any member as tamed would insult him and possibly get him killed anyway. I wouldn’t say this book is any different. It comes down to how well the story is told. And dang! I was caught up from the start. It’s not so much that the plot was fantastic, but that the story was engaging and drew you in from the first sentence. Always hanging off a bit of suspense as to what the next move would be, I remained curious as to what would be next to unfold with each page turn. The sexual heat between Stone and Rachel was off the charts hot. I’m not even sure how my e-reader didn’t melt into a puddle of goo. Seriously. Panty scorching. Many secondary characters were introduced, most of them part of the MC itself, and I could easily see stories for many of them in the future. Based on my quick bit of research, it seems as though that particular reality has yet to come to fruition. But I’d be more than willing to read anything that may come of the Dark Menace MC in the future. I also appreciated Rachel fighting back despite her attraction to Stone. She could have easily set back and let him handle everything. Not that he didn't. That's what he does. But being thrust into this world she doesn't understand, her actions, while incredibly stupid, are also real responses. Stone wants her to trust him, but really, how can you do that when you've only just met someone and under such forced circumstances? Not to mention she's been on her own for a long time and depending on someone else isn't something is accustomed to.
My warning to anyone who prefers a sweet romance read ... when I say rough, I mean rough. Every aspect within these pages is as far from sweet as you can get. I only include this warning as a meter of sorts. I wouldn't want anyone to think it is something that it is not and find it to be completely different than expected. But even if you do prefer those more romantic reads, if you are looking for something different that will give you an experience like you've never had before, an MC themed book is definitely something that will deliver a thrill.
There were a couple of things that were a bit far-fetched, one being the final fight scene. It was so well coordinated as far as clean up that I just didn’t believe the scene would have been as pristine as the author would have us believe. However, it was a good effort despite the unlikely feat of pulling it off. Ironically, the character I was most curious about was from another MC that had a copasetic relationship with the Dark Menace Club, Hawk. As a member of a different club, he probably wouldn’t be included with further Dark Menace reads, but I will be checking out any development for him in the future. Within the Dark Menace members, I was most intrigued by Ty and Trudy. They definitely need their own story. I got the distinct impression that there was a ton of unspoken discord lurking beneath Ty’s seemingly blasé exterior. Nonchalant with everything except Trudy, of course. But Ty has crap tp work out and I'd love to see all of that come to pass so he can claim Trudy fully. Overall, I was very happy with this book and hope to be able to experience more within the Dark Menace world soon. Stone and Rachel were a thrill getting to read about and a wonderful example of passion morphing into something unexpected. Something to cherish that you’ll put above all else when it comes down to the final moments. But, you know, in a tough way ... got to let these rough and tough members hang on to their masculine essence in the face of love. 😊 Dark heroes, fierce loyalty, a bit of suspense tossed in, and sexy af ... I will be back for sure!

Hot, steamy, combustible sexual tension between Stone and Rachel reach epic proportions when they are thrown together. Rachel walked in on Stone and the Dark Menace MC “talking business” with Rachel’s brother in law while trying to find her sister. It soon became apparent that Rachel’s brother in law owed money to the club and they wanted to take Maddie, Rachel’s sister as collateral but Rachel volunteers to spare her sister (Stone knew that Rachel would take Maddie’s place and he counted on that to get Rachel. From there things got smoking hot. Both Stone and Rachel fought their feelings till they couldn’t deny it any more. I absofuckinglutly recommend this book to anyone who like 🔥🔥 MC books. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did. I enjoyed it so much I literally stayed up all night to finish it! You won’t be disappointed with this book.

I haven't really read any motorcycle romance books before so I really took a chance with this one. I read the excerpt when I saw that it was being offered and I was intrigued, so I decided to take a chance and see if I liked it. I have to say, I was hooked and I can't wait to read the next book she has coming out, as well as reading her back stories. I was so not disappointed with this book.
I think this was a fast paced, funny as heck book. I was entertained from the moment I started till the book ended. I liked how Rachel and Stone's s characters develop separately and together as a couple. They both had compromises, and concessions to make, and things aren't always easy, especially being in a MC (motorcycle club), but nothing's worth having without some work.
I liked Rachel. She's feisty, she's independent. She's used to solving her own problems and not being able to depend on anyone to help her. She's protective of her sister and anything that she thinks is hers. She's funny and she can be tough as nails if the situation forces her to be. I have to say that Rachel does make some boneheaded mistakes that made me shake my head and want to ask her "what are you doing?" That being said, she more than makes up for it by admitting to her mistakes and admitting that she made a boneheaded decision.
If the reader hasn't read any MC books before, let me fill you in on a couple of words that are used within that culture, to help with your reading enjoyment. When they have a meeting, they call it "church", and their jackets, or whatever they wear that connotes what club they represent, it's called a "cut". I didn't know this, I had to look it up. Hahaha!!
Despite Stone's hard exterior, I really liked him as well. He is the "prez" or president of the MC, and he has to hard, he has to deliver swift punishment without any emotional entanglement, he's wild, he's untamed, and NO ONE tells him what to do. Despite all this, he can be patient, he can be kind, he's caring, and he can love fiercely, if he finds the right someone.
I loved the men in Stone's MC as well. They were great secondary characters and added richness to the whole overall story. They were a hard, tough group of men who are just as wild and untamed as Stone and would protect each other with their lives. It's a tough life, I couldn't handle being an "old lady" to one of these guys.
I hope the reader doesn't shy away from reading a MC romance. It's not that bad, give it a chance and I think that Tory Richards could help change the reader's mind. I'm glad I gave it a chance, now I'm in trouble with more to read.

OMG, Stone is one sexy Alpha male, this is a thrilling fast paced action packed story I couldn't stop reading, I was engrossed from the first page when we meet him teaching Rachel's brother-in-law the error of stealing from the Club, then Rachel turns up wanting to keep her sister safe she offers herself as collateral. Amidst a war with another Club emotions run high when it turns out Rachel is on their radar and their Pres wants her.
I couldn't stop turning the pages I just wanted to know what was going to happen next, I hope we get to hear more from Stone and Rachel.

I love Tory Richards MC books.. Her heros are sworn to protect and they do it well. They are also a bit determined to never fall in "love" Cooties.. lol Ok, now for Stone and Rachel.... I had a love/hate relationship with Stone. I wanted to slap Rachel a couple of times, but all in all I loved this story. Stone fights his feelings like a true jerk, lol Rachel tries her best to protect herself as well as her new friends.
I'm looking forward to more..

Loved the narration of Europa Fortis, wow
Stone is the President of the Dark Menace MC , who knows what he wants and what he wants is Rachel. When Rachel goes to see her sister Maddie , she find out her brother-in-law has borrowed money from Stone and he can't pay back Rachel offers herself so they will leave Maddie alone and not use her as collateral .Stone and Rachel fight their feelings till they couldn’t deny it any more and things really hot.

Ehat a Great book
This was a great I will definitely be reading this book again. I love that the MFC wasn’t a push over. And I love that the MMC was a bad ass.

hot at first sight
This book was a fun read and I loved the instant connection these characters shared but also fought. The jealousy and alpha overprotection in this book was perfection.

Hang on – Stone’s Coming!
A well developed and executed storyline kept me glued to this book and made it a one-sitting read.
The Dark Menace MC is going about their usual “business” – trying to collect on a bad debt – when the sister-in-law of their ‘client’ barges in. The bikers have no intention of leaving before sending a message to the deadbeat client (Ronald) and collecting collateral on the debt. In a bid to save the idiot’s “naive” wife…and her younger sister, from what being held by an MC could mean, the sister-in-law, RACHEL, agrees to go in her place.
And we’re off and running!
If bad decisions had a queen – it would be Rachel. Still not sure what made her feel she was better suited to go with the bikers than her sister. She worked in a bar – big whoop! She was not street savvy and had no swagger. She always believes she can “handle” a situation…until it blows up in her face. Fortunately for Rachel, MC prez, Stone, is fast developing a thing for her. While she’s argumentative and confrontational at every turn, it takes her far too long to understand that being under Stone’s protection is the best thing for her.
Stone is no choirboy and the Dark Menace MC is no charity. Despite his growing feelings for Rachel, the club and the debt owed them comes first. He inadvertently finds out about the horror Rachel endured as a child at the hands of a sadistic stepfather, Wildman, who turns out to be the same slimy prez of a truly foul MC who want to take over Dark Menace (and everyone else’s) territory by any means necessary. He also wants Rachel back. Stone doesn’t plan to let that happen as he bands with other MCs to smoke out Wildman and end him and his lot once and for all.
With a couple of epic MC battles (the battles are awesome!), it probably would have been over and done, but where would this story be without Rachel’s BAD DECISIONS? OMG, this woman! Ten seconds more of true thought each time would probably have saved lives, but that’s not her way. There’s a passage early in the story where Rachel speaks of her sister’s lack of good judgment. HA! Hello Pot, meet Kettle! Rachel’s extreme lack of good judgment, and yet another bad decision, leads Stone to make the douche-bag move of all douche-bag moves! I had to put the kindle down and take a moment. I “understood.” Everything has a cost and a price has to be paid. I just didn’t agree with HIS decision.
Tory Richards truly knows how to reel her readers in because just as I was about to start drinking…excessively…I actually began to kinda, sorta like Rachel – and I loved her compared to Rita…Ew! (Wait until you meet Rita – and wear a body condom!) LOL!
Stone as the anti-hero is perfect. He has the respect and loyalty of his club, and the respect of other clubs, but even he’s perfectly flawed and capable of making a few bad decisions. While he’ll never walk away from Dark Menace, his internal thoughts key you into the true man.
It’s a wild ride with plenty of bumps, but “Dark Menace MC: Stone” is definitely a ride worth taking.

I ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY LOVED IT!
Stone is the President of the Dark Menace MC and he's a big badass alpha male who knows what he wants and what he wants is Rachel. Rachel is at the wrong place at the wrong time. When these two see each other the attraction is so strong it's off the charts I thought my Kindle was gonna catch on fire. Rachel is built like a Barbie doll, Big tits, small waist and nice plump ass which makes all the men's cocks stand up and take notice. Lol. When Rachel goes to see her sister the first thing she sees is trouble. What she finds is shocking but when it comes to her sister Maddie she's like an angry momma bear protecting her cub. But because of what she sees and because her brother-in-law is a complete waste of space and borrowed money he can't pay back Rachel offers herself so they will leave Maddie alone. But as much as Stone turns her on it's not so much of a burden. LOl. Unfortunately Rachel's past has caught up to her she needs to get Maddie as far away as possible but Rachel's living nightmare Wildman catches Maddie. Tory's writing is so descriptive I could picture it perfectly in my mind. Especially the Smokin Hot sex. Rachel is very head strong and gets herself in trouble more than once and after the second time Stone has had enough. The suspense gets really intense and my heart was breaking alittle for her. When Rachel decides to ask her rich ex boyfriend for the money owed to the Dark Menace MC things don't go as planned. I was kinda startled at what happened when Jimmy shows up. Just when I thought Rachel and Maddie were gonna be in the clear. I felt really sad for poor Jimmy and his family. And then things go crazy. I couldn't read fast enough. Lol. Rachel's character really becomes a badass and I loved it! The ending was great but it left me wanting more. I highly recommend this book to everyone. I REALLY hope that Tory writes more books about the Dark Menace MC. I'd love to see some of the others get their own book. Max & Trudy, Maddie, Pitbull, Bulldog and more. Hint Hint Tory.

This was basically a repeat of Lynch's book, but with different characters, albeit Rachael was slightly tougher than Kat, not when it came to Stone but when she kicked Rita's ass...her one teeny tiny saving grace because outside of that she was an idiot.
Stone was as big an alpha as Lynch, he was also an ass just like him too..lol. He made stupid decisions when it came to Rachael and even stupider decisions when having a biker tantrum, but he was faithful to her despite acting like a complete and utter jackass so he did have some redeming qualities...

Loved the alpha hero, but left the heroine was to weak as she never reprimands the hero in the way he speaks to her or treats her. shoe just continues like it never happened. others than that lived the book!

I love MC romances/erotica. But usually there are two things about them that annoy me. The bikers are presented as badasses, but really just big muscular teddy bears. And usually the heroines will be in great danger, but always escape with what amounts to a mere scolding as the worst of the damage. No one dies but the bad guys. No one gets hurt but the bad guys. It’s all happy unicorns crapping rainbows.
Not here.
I thoroughly enjoyed Dark Menace MC by Tory Richards. A worried sister finds herself as collateral to a biker gang due to her efforts to protect her little sister. Along the way she and the MC president start falling for each other (of course!). He ends up having to go to war to protect her. That’s the short synopsis. Sounds pretty cliché!
This one is done differently.
There is a delicious realism this author brings to the table that actually shocked me a few times. The characters are solid characters with weaknesses and strengths. They make mistakes and suffer for them. They do stupid things and look like a complete idiot. Sometimes, people die because of them. There is real misogyny presented very honestly without exhausting handwringing about how awful it is. Of course it’s awful, but it is also reality in MC clubs. The violence is real violence. People get hurt, people die. And evidence just doesn’t magically disappear in the twisting nether, it has to be cleaned up and dealt with. The heroine doesn’t whimper and wring her hands and cry about bad things that happen, but nor does she go all out bitchfest. The hero isn’t a mind reader who knows exactly what she is thinking, and he has a temper that at times gets the best of him – with her. Real characters. Real reactions. This was absolutely refreshing to read.
I enjoyed this book so much that halfway through I bought more books written by the author. God help me, I have too much to read.
One thing I noticed, the ending is missing something! I don’t want to give away any spoilers, let’s just say the whole reason he and her fell together was never resolved. Perhaps it will be in a later book I haven’t read or the author hasn’t completed yet, I don’t know. But it left me wondering.
All in all, an easy four stars. I would have given 4.5 if I gave half stars.
