Her Run

Rate this book
This is a Stand Alone Book in the Her Series.

Going undercover for the FBI, I use contacts I made while in the Marines to get one step closer to a murderer. However, I quickly discover there is a whole lot more to the story than I anticipated. Nothing is what it appeared to be.

Having the President gone, leaves me in charge of the Tormented Souls Motorcycle Club. it's nothing I can't handle until a fiery little thing shows up throwing off everything, especially my head. I tried to stay away, but couldn't. I never thought she'd be the one to ruin everything.

The Players: Blaze and Monk

The Story: Blaze is an undercover FBI agent who is using her past friendship with Ryan, sister of the Tortured Souls MC leader - and wife of his second in command, to get information about the various disappearances of people who had previously been associated with the club.

Monk is the club enforcer. Since the MC has gone legit, his duties now mainly deal with keeping its members of out trouble. Not to say that Monk has any in way, gone soft.

Plot: Blaze comes to the club under false pretenses. She's told Ryan that her ex beat her up and she needs a safe place to hide for awhile. Ryan is not one to turn down a fellow marine, so she invites her to stay at the clubhouse. Once there, Blaze starts sneaking around and discreetly asking questions about the club's past.

Monk takes an instant liking to Blaze, one that he tries to keep to himself. Once he realizes that Blaze is interested in him as well, the two can't keep their hands off each other.

When Blaze must decide where her loyalities truly lay, she knows that no one is walking out of this unscathed.

What worked/what didn't: Monk has been a part of this club for over 20 years. Seems to me that it would take more than him getting drunk a couple of times to spill any deep dark secrets that he may have had. Also, the timeline at the end of the book was a little confusing. I would have preferred clearer time delinations. I would have liked to seen more of Blaze's intergration into the club and of her and Monk's relationship after everything had happened.

Part of a Series: Yes, "Her" series

Heat Level: off the charts

I received a copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review. I love this series and Blaze and Monk did not disappoint me. Blaze is sent undercover by the FBI to take down the Tormented Souls MC. She uses her friendship with Ryan to get in. She tries to stay away from the men but she is drawn to Monk. It is fast paced and well written. You will be glued to every page to find out what happens next. Can she do her job without getting caught? Or loosing her heart to Monk? Will she be able to live with herself if she gets them taken down for the wrong reasons? Can Monk ever forgive her? I would have liked a little more background on Blaze and more at the end, but that is just me with a great series I always want more. And Rachael Orman is one of my favorites out there. If you love a great MC story, then you should read this series, you will love it too.

Josephine ‘Blaze’ Nix a former Marine turned FBI agent finds herself going undercover in a motorcycle club looking for answers at the mysterious disappearance of two men. She befriends the president of the club younger sister earlier in the Marine where they both served and ends up staying there when she is physically beaten up by her supposed “boyfriend”.

As the Tormented Motorcycle Club goes through changes a they try to become legit, Monk has to still keep an eye out for trouble. He is basically in charge and the arrival of Blaze upsets the running of the club.

Unfortunately as they get to know each other, they cannot stay away from each other as their chemistry heats up. What will happen when she completes her task and ends up betraying him and the members of the club? Will they end up together or forever apart? Can he forgive her betrayal in the end?

This is the third book in the series and it does not disappoint the readers. It is an engrossing and steamy read.

I received this book for an honest review.
Her Run by Rachael Orman was book 3 in the Her series. It was fantastic!!! Blaze is an FBI agent undercover trying to get information to put the men responsible for murders in prison. She's drawn to Monk so she starts to use him to get the information.

Their story was so exciting I started the book and didn't put it down once, until I was done. I was so engrossed in the story. It flowed so well and read so easily, I just loved it.

Blaze was a strong woman, but at times I despised what she was trying to do. She was perfect for this book. There was a point I felt sorry for the men from the MC club. Can't tell you why, you need to read this great story to find out what happens.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads

This is the third in a series, and took a very different slant to the previous two. I had mixed feelings about how it panned out, but it certainly made me think. It was good to catch up with Ryan and her clan, and see how the MC has moved on.

Do read it and see what you think; I was fascinated by the outcome of the story and will be interested to read other reviews to see what views are out there. I think this is a polarising kind of story.

Monk he's such a romantic boy, "feel how hard you make me and you haven’t even touched me yet. Are you going to unman me? Make me come before I can even get in you." I totally don't blame Blaze for not wanting Monk's hands on her at times, "be what way? I don’t want your hands on me after they were on another woman." Monk may be a dirty talker, but when his woman is sweet his actions speak louder than words, "well, I like it the way it is. Long enough to put my hands in, but short enough to stay out of the way.” I wiggled my eyebrows. He pressed his lips to my cheek and squeezed my a** in response." I liked this book I loved Monk I'm hoping Brew gets his own story.

In this book we get the story of Monk.... and Blaze...
this was a really different story as Blaze is an FBI agent who infiltrates the MC, and in turn, Monk is the one that can't live without her...

I really wanted to read Monks story, as he seemed a very formidable character... this twist that Rachael Orman placed on this book left me really interested in the originality of it.. but not happy with the way things went with this relationship.... lol but that deter the fact that I could not put the book down!!

really want to read more of the Tormented Souls MC...

I am still in awe on how this book turned out. It kept me guessing from beginning to end, I totally picked it up right before bed to read a couple pages and stayed up and read the whole thing lol Monk is a biker, a hot one at that, & Blaze is in the FBI, what happens when their two worlds collide?

I'll tell you what happens, you get an amazing book full of ups and downs that make your heart sing. I loved it! Good Job Rachael! :)

well written and plenty happened. it fit well with the rest of the series but it didn't really work for me. mostly i am prejudiced from the start when i pick up a book where the main interest has gone undercover and works to bring down the the club ... it just doesn't let me get into the story as i am always looking for flaws. nevertheless it was still a good addition to the series

So I have to say I love Monk but Blaze really threw me for a loop. At times I was not happy with the way things were going. I read 2 MC books this past w/e and I probably should not have because my PMS had me so emotional and all over the place with my feelings LOL, TMI maybe but geez I was gutted , Blaze really did me in. Could Monk be any better of a man , OMG he was so smitten and just WOW he was really blinded by Blaze. Things went so well for her. I honestly didn't get on board with her until the very end. I was shocked by her in the beginning , then kind of thought you know what she doesn't have the balls to follow through , then I was disgusted by her and maybe my love for Monk blinded me but I had no desire to forgive her but since she obviously wasn't going away I had no choice but to suck it up. We have watched this MC grow and change and work towards better things and the way they treat Blaze at the end shows you just how much they have changed and how far they have come.

We meet Blaze right at the start. She comes to the club for protection from an abusive ex , or so they think. We already know better. Ryan and Blaze served together and so that is their connection. Right away Monk is addicted and it is funny to see him trying to do his job and be Monk but failing miserably because he wants Blaze. Was it part of her act or was she really that taken by him as well ?? It honestly shocked me how fast he got in her pants !! Don't get me wrong I was happy to get some Monk action but WOW Blaze shocked me quite a bit in this book. In the midst of whatever Blaze is doing behind the scenes I totally enjoyed her and Monk together. This was my issue , Monk and Blaze were amazing. I loved their connection , their interactions and of course their chemistry was HOT. Wrench and Melia had been gone for a bit on vacation and Ryan and Dirty were struggling to keep up with their demanding twins. There wa some family fun going on and plenty of the normal club action. I love how all the characters tie in and we get to see Ryan and the babies and of course Melia and Wrench as expecting parents !! These guys have come a long way and I knew they would be amazing men to their woman !!

Great series , great author , hope others take the chance and enjoy as well !!

So let's get straight to it because this book pissed me off, Monk is a sex addict, which he refers to as a high sex drive so be prepared for lots of sex in this book. Way more than in the first two books, it's like sex sex sex; which I really didn't mind, but I just couldn't stand Blaze's character knowing that the whole time she's getting all chummy with the club she's also gathering evidence against them. I mean she claims she feels guilty but that guilt didn't stop her from fucking information out Monk, who stupidly gave it to her and using that shit against the club.

What really baffles me about this club is the fact that not only did they allow an FBI agent to infiltrate their club, without doing any kind of background check on her, but then as a result of her investigation four top members end up incarcerated and while Blaze played a part in getting their sentences reduced by convincing them to turn into snitches, in turn she is forgiven and then made an actual member of the club! Something that not even Ryan, who grew up in that club and is the President's sister, has the distinct title of being. She's just an old lady, but this double crossing female gets treated like royalty? That's the most asinine thing I've ever read, I mean in any other club or had she been a man you know that bitch would have eaten a bullet, but this club is just all kinds of fucked up, they just allow anyone in. Let's not forget they just took her at her word, even though her and Ryan served in the Marines, they rarely knew each other...what a bunch of fucking dumbasses! How could they trust so easily?

BTW...how is Ryan breastfeeding her babies? Wasn't Melia the one that gave birth to them because she had a hysterectomy due to her cancer and they were bottle fed in book one? There were numerous confusing things like this in this book...sighs.

Overall, I think this book could have been way better had Blaze made different decisions that could have ultimately led the club to make better decisions as well. The first two books were okay but sadly this third one missed the mark...

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, suspense, secrets, betrayal, twists & turns, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Her Ride (Her, #1)
Her Journey (Her Series, #2)

This is Blaze and Monk’s story. Blaze served in the Marines with Ryan. She now works for the FBI and her job is to get the dirt on the MC. A few people have gone missing and the FBI thinks they MC knows what happened to them. Blaze needs a way in and Ryan provides that way. Monk is in charge of the MC while Patrick is away. The chemistry between Blaze and Monk is off the charts. The closer they become the more feeling Blaze has. Can she still do her job all the while using the man she loves? When the time comes for handing over the evidence can she do it? If she does will Monk ever forgive the betrayal she will have committed? Will they ever be able to move on from such a betrayal?

I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

We're back with the Tormented Souls MC for another instalment of fun.

If you haven't read the first two books, I'd highly recommend them. They provide the back story for some of the sub-characters featured in this, book #3.

We meet Blaze who we know right from the start is on a specific mission and she intends to get the job done.

What she didn't count on was meeting Monk, who is the absolute antithesis of his name. He likes the ladies and never gets close or let's feeling or emotions get involved.

Neither of them expect the chemistry that sparks between them right off the bat but is it enough to deter Blaze from completing her mission or will she sacrifice her heart to get the job done?

This tale is well written and I absolutely loved Monk. He's the enforcer, tough as nails but with another layer that no one sees. I found Blaze's character a little irritating but I expect that that was the intention.

I'm sure there's more to come in this series and I'd love to know what Brew's story is, as well as Skin's.

Pick this up for a quick, easy and fun read. Enjoy!

I received a copy of Her Run for a blog tour and my honest review.

We're back with the Tormented Souls MC and Patrick, the head is on his honeymoon basically. So Ellis and Monk are in charge. Well, let's say mostly Monk cuz Ellis is too busy with Ryan and the babies.

Blaze, a motorcycle aficionado, ex-marine (served with Ryan) and FBI agent is sent to infiltrate the Tormented Souls and see if she can't find out what happened to Jeremy (Ryan's ex) and a few others that have come up missing...
Monk is immediately entranced and since he is the "enforcer" he knows all the goods that Blaze needs to know. Unfortunately they fall for each other, so Blaze in turn has to flip on the man she's crazy about.

The characters are ones we've come to know and love (all except for Blaze) and Ms Orman's writing style still seems effortless leaving you with a wonderful story that is so enjoyable and easy to read you seem to zip right through! She's left me waiting to see who's story is next and where she takes the Tormented Souls from here!

This is the third book in this series and I will say it is very different than the first two. I really loved the first two and even more than that I really loved Monk in them, so I had high expectations of his story. In the previous ones the heroine is immediately very liked and you root for her from the get go. With this one I found myself having lots of moments of dislike for the heroine, Blaze and was immediately drawn to Monk and wanted him to get his happy ever after. I understand the story the author is portraying and really appreciate the fact that each of these books are different. It's not like you are reading the same type of thing over and over again. I will say however, I personally did not love how the last few chapters went. I felt like it was a little rushed, but overall it was a good book. My opinion is to read the first two before this one so you have a feel for the characters. A copy was given in exchange for an honest review. A 3.75 stars from me.

This is the third book of the Tormented Souls MC but they can all be read as a stand-alone. But if you want a better understanding of other characters in the book you should read them first.

I really liked this book. Blaze is an FBI agent working undercover in the motorcycle club to get answers about the mysterious disappearance of two men. As soon as she arrives she has an undeniable attraction to Monk. There chemistry is off the wall hot and it doesn't take long for them to dive head first into it. While exploring their attraction Blaze still gathers her evidence using Monk to get it all while falling for him and second guessing herself and her job. Will she get the answers she needs? What will happen between them once she turns in her evidence and they find out she betrayed them all?

I will say right now I did not like Blaze and the moment I read that she was an FBI agent I almost didn't want to read this book. I love the Her Series and the way it is written and portrayed. Monk I like from the very beginning and glad he got his own story. However Monk being older and wiser in some areas can't keep his hands off of Blaze. When she starts asking questions that don't need to be answered shit starts to fly. Can she uncover what happened to all those that disappeared, keep her job, sanity, and the guy? Can Monk after finding out the truth about Blaze forgive her. And can the club keep Ryan from the betrayal Blaze did to the club and not kill her? There are a lot of questions and I will say this book was full of twists and turns.

*An ARC was provided in exchange of an honest review*

So I read this baby in one sitting! The world around me was on time out while I got to read the story of Blaze. She is one hardcore chick that you won't wanna mess with & she's got an objective that she is determined to complete. Of course she finds her mark to assist her in making this all happen... Monk. You have to read this Stand-Alone to see what happens!! Does Blaze complete what she had set as objective? Is Monk simply a means to an end or is there something more???

I absolutely love Rachael Orman's books and this book has officially been added to my list of kick-ass books!!! Rachael you are one amazing Author!!!

I love Rachael Orman. There aren’t enough words of praise I could give her.
Her Run is engrossing and hot as hell. I read the whole book in one sitting they ate TV dinners at my house that day. I love the drama that infuses the whole series.
This installment is about Blaze who is an undercover agent sent into the MC to gather information. Before she gets all she needs she falls in love with Monk. Monk is in charge of things and he seriously wants Blaze. When they get together its 10 alarm hot.
I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.
