Junior Tay does a fine job in presenting the brilliant games of Vassily Ivanchuk. The books contains many of the creative games and moves that Ivanchuk is known for. Considered a Chess genius by many, myself included, there are many examples of why he stands apart from his contemporaries. In many of the games you are asked what move you would make next, and undoubtedly you will choose a “normal” move, whereas Ivanchuk will make a move that in all likelihood you didn’t even consider. He has long been one of my favorite players and I am always interested in playing over his games to see what innovative ideas he has unleashed against his opponent. Highly recommended for those interested in reading about the creative chess playing/thinking of one of the most original/creative players to ever play the game.

I will want to return to this. I have not looked at all the games yet.
I was disappointed in the inaccuracies in the evaluations of the positions.
True I don't need to see a computer analysis. That's what computers are for, and I want to read the GM perspective. But Junior Tay is not a GM, and I think he should have at least checked his ideas with the computer, rather than write so many untruths.
