Summer is winding down in Holiday Bay, and Shelby and the Bistro crew are preparing for one of the town's biggest events of the season, the annual Lobsterfest Celebration. Everyone is involved in the celebration until the Labor Day festivities come to a halt when one of the Bistro's favorite customers is found dead in his home.

With only a handful of suspects to consider, Bistro employee Calliope Rosenthall, Callie to her friends, appears to top the list.

In spite of the fact that Callie seems to have been the only one with the opportunity to have carried out the murder in the manner it was executed, Shelby isn't convinced Callie is the killer.

Certain her friend is innocent, she begins digging into the victim's life, discovering secrets that suggest that more than one person had reason to want the man dead.

As Shelby searches for the truth, she also joins her sister Sage in Holiday Bay's Adopt-a-Program community project, cheers Dawson and his band as they compete for the coveted Battle of the Bands trophy, and watches Cambria pull out all the stops in hopes of earning the blue ribbon at the annual lobster cook-off.

The end of the summer season is happening in Holiday Bay and the Bistro is both excited and relived for the Lobster Festival to be over so they can all rest. When a part time employee who does local deliveries finds one of their loyal customers dead it shakes them. It appears he was poisoned and Alex is having lots of questions when fingerprint evidence comes back and cannot all be identified. Then they find evidence connected to a decades ago jewelry heist. What does this say about the long time residence who has been poisoned...

The Bistro is always hopping and the three sisters are looking forward to more time together

Shelby and her sisters are so glad their grandmother brought them together. Shelby also has her employees at the Bistro who are more family than employees. She sees one of them suffering the loss of a customer and, in order to make her feel safe again gets involved in an old crime and a new murder! There were several things going on and that is what I love about this series, actually these series! Looking forward to what's next for Holiday Bay and all my friends!!

Very entertaining

I love Holiday Bay. Generally my favourite is the Inn, but this one was really good. Shelby and her sisters are all lovely and Dawson seems like a real hunk and a genius and talented musician. Shelby is kind and generous, great couple. I love that everyone has a pet.

Another fun visit to Holiday Bay. Shelby, Sage and Sierra seem to be growing closer now. Shelby and Dawson are a lovely couple that respect and support each other. They mystery was good with few suspects and lots of questions regarding the victim's history as well as his current life in Holiday Bay.

As always I love this next book in the series. Kathi always does a great job bringing the characters and towns to life and this was no different. Interesting that the old robbery wasn't one of Beck's cases. A sweet old man is accidentally murdered but he's connected to the old robbery. Everyone has a busy Lobsterfest and all is well. On to the next one.

The Bistro does more than feed people

This story at the Bistro had alot of great mystery going on. Love that it was not obvious who was responsible for all that went on. But a really nice side note was all the sisters spending time together. And the development of a sewing room on the basement of the house.

An old man passes away

An old man passes away in his chair. Callie has been delivering meals to him. What appears to be a natural death becomes a murder, and secrets from his past are exposed. I enjoy the crossover of characters in these books and their continuing relationships.

This series is great and each book can be a stand alone. This one is busy time end of summer and has .ore than one mystery in it. Character are fantastic and believable.

This book was very interesting with the murder and the theft of the diamonds. I enjoyed all the activities at the Bistro. With Sage being involved setting up the sewing class in the basement of the house. I am looking forward to reading the next book.

While a lot of people are involved in Hints man's death some just could not do while others refused to give finger pro nuts to eliminate theselves
