Two breaking news stories turn the world’s attention on San Diego. First, a 747 jetliner crashes during a live television news broadcast. Two months later, terrorists armed with a nuclear warhead, threaten to blow up the city.
The events bring together a TV news anchorman, a woman from his past, and twin brothers who were given up for adoption at birth.
Air Apparent is a tense, revealing contemporary fictional action thriller that shows the timeless search for truth, justice, power, love, family, forgiveness and faith.
Lots of action throughout this novel about the news industry and how a news anchor handles both the threat to his career and to his son who is taken hostage. Great character development and a believable plot and setting. I did question some of Stoney's behavior when she was taken hostage by terrorists with machine guns. I think if she gave that much lip and attitude, she would have been killed immediately. Overall an entertaining read with great insight into Navy SEAL tactics in a hostage situation.
