This is a hilariously illustrated children's book describing the seven days in which God created the Earth and the Heavens.

The portrayal of God being grumpy when his cherubic angels wake him up early one morning by jumping on his bed and him spanking them is one which has my children laughing out loud. The angels and God paint night and day with a roller, create the plants and birds and fishes, then make the animals from clay and paint them, with some funny mistakes along the way. Finally, He creates Adam and Eve and takes a well-earned rest on the beach.

A short and amusing telling of a well-known biblical story, although more the more devout may find it a little too flippant, it's one which was read to me as a child and I in turn have had great pleasure in reading to my children.

this one's out of print and my mom still has the copy (i'll bet it was cuz most of the characters in the book, like the angels and adam and eve and even god, are naked a lot). obviously a childrens book that was meant to push the christian agenda, but again, the illustrations were well done, if a bit lude for a child.
