Every time Uzziah announces a new book, I already know I’m about to lose all self-control. I’m locking my doors, climbing into bed, silencing my phone, and clearing my schedule because there’s no way I’m putting that book down once I start.
This was gritty, raw, sexy as hell, and completely unpredictable. I never knew what was coming next, and every twist had me flying through the pages. The chemistry? Absolutely scorching. The tension? Off the charts. There were moments that had me fanning myself, and others where I damn near screamed because I could not believe what I had just read.
He has an incredible way of writing stories that feel unapologetically bold. His characters are flawed, intense, and impossible to look away from. He isn’t afraid to push boundaries, and that’s exactly what keeps me coming back every single time.
If you’re looking for a book that’s dark, raunchy, emotionally charged, and packed with enough heat to leave you blushing, Book of Goddess absolutely delivers. He has officially earned auto-buy status for me because every single release feels like an event, and this one did not disappoint. Rawrrr…that’s all I’m saying. 🔥📚

Whewwww!! Baby, Goddess DID NOT come to play!
Sis could sell salt to a slug—and she did not discriminate! Goddess was rated E for errrrrbody. The way she knew exactly what to say, how to say it, and when to say it? Whew…a masterclass in manipulation and control!
This book had me gasping, kicking my feet, and yelling, “SHE DID WHAT?!” every few chapters. Just when I thought I had everything figured out, the story took another wild turn.
And Quincy? Let’s be honest—this was karma with a pretty face. He knew he had Jess when he stepped to Goddess, so whatever followed…well, there’s that!
I loved this book down! Uzziah’s pen game truly gets better with every story. If you love messy love triangles, mind games, manipulation, and characters who keep you questioning everything, Goddess needs to be on your TBR immediately!

Whewwww. I should have known when I got this book that I was in for some mess. This book was amazing. I ate it down yall. The way Goddess commanded Quincey and completely destroyed was great. I love this author’s writing. From the banter to the plot to the spicy this book has everything you need.

The Book of Goddess was an absolute chaotic, unhinged rollercoaster filled with emotionally driven, power-hungry characters who were with the shits… I could NOT look away.
Goddess was out here minding her business, and then Quincy came through and unlocked a version of her that should've probably remained behind a warning label. Once that confidence switch flipped, Goddess took that damn seatbelt off and accelerated the gas lol!
The emotional manipulation. The power moves…wild. The drama... I ate up every single page.
Definitely add to your tbr list!

Soooooo, after reading Toy and Borrowed Skin, I apparently looked myself in the mirror and said, “Yeah...gimme some more of that Uzziah Black craziness.” 😂 Because honey, at this point I KNOW what kind of time this man is on, and yet I keep willingly opening these books.
And The Book of Goddess took me all the way to the LEFT. Goddess really said, “Oh, you think you gon beat me? Okay...then I’ll just do your wife!” SIRRRRRR. 😭😂 Is this how love escalates into obsession?! Because Goddess was not playing fair, and the further I got into this story, the more I realized that whatever Quincy thought he was dealing with in the beginning was NOT what he had on his hands by the end.
I literally messaged Uzziah when I was on PAGE FIVE like, “Really? This what we doin’?” 😂 Because who was this freaked-out jawn coming after Quincy?! That was not the same shorty I met on page one! Every time I thought Goddess had reached her limit, she said, “Oh, I got something else for you.” Meanwhile, Quincy was getting turned ALL the way out and I was just sitting there watching the chaos unfold.
And Quincy really thought he had the queen cornered at one point. My dude was celebrating like the problem had been handled and life could go back to normal. Hahahahahahaha! Sir, have you not been paying attention?! You don't celebrate early when this man is writing the book! 😭
Then THAT ENDING?! UZZIAH, WHY?!
Listen, I tend to be a pretty patient reader girlie. I understand authors need time. I understand the creative process. I understand all of that beautiful stuff...
But where is Book 2?

At this point, Uzziah Black has established exactly what kind of reading experience you're signing up for with his psychological stories: power, obsession, manipulation, and characters making decisions that'll have you staring at your Kindle like they've personally offended you. And apparently, I'm just gonna keep signing myself up for the foolishness.

What The.....(light spoilers)
Mannnnnn.....what did I just read????? I thought Borrowed Skin and Toy had me too stunned to speak but this one took me wayyyyy out! The hospital scene put me in mind of one from Kill Bill a little and my jaw was on the floor. WHOA! Now, I will say there were some holes that kind of confused me such as what happened to the business partner, how quickly Goddess went from dusty to alluring vixen and how she was so able to elude being completely caught. However, being that the ending seems like a set up for the story will continue, I'm sure some of these holes will be filled in. Goddess is something different for sure. Yikes! If you like super unhinged and a lot of OMG and WTH moments, this book is for you! Enjoy the ride.....

Overall I enjoyed the writing style, suspense and thrill. Uzziah is a NTM author and I will be exploring more of his work.
There's some parts in this book that still have me questioning things. Mostly the question of where Goddess came from and how did she get BOLD so quickly. It's giving personality disorder but also karma. He was playing with gasoline and she was more than happy to supply the match. The book kept me asking questions and wondering what would happen next. Is she a deity, a ghost, a representation of his karma? Honestly, I don't know but it kept me intrigued and Goddess is wrecking havoc on a lot of lives. The "to be continued," has me interested because I need some things clarified.

I don’t know what I expected going into this book, but this was a wild, crazy ride. Quincy never thought meeting Goddess would lead him on a path of obsession and destruction. Goddess was certified crazy. There was no stopping her when she became obsessed. She also wasn’t one to play with. Also, this book was spicy!!! Goddess staked her claim and was not giving up ownership. Quincy was a dog, his wife Jess was gullible, and Goddess was psychotic!! You definitely have to read what happens with Goddess and Quincy and Jess Mayes!

I’m in awe
This book is toxic without giving away too much. The ride is wild and everything strategically played into the next chapter. I love this story it literally puts you into the mind of a real cheater and what goes through one’s mind. I’ve never read a book that twisted my morals up like paper lol I was ready to fall in to temptation to. They say the devil be working and Goddess truly is sinful in snake form whispering sweet nothings and jacking everything up.

Choose wisely
This book put my anxiety through the roof one minute I was mad at Quincy. Then the next minute I was mad at Jessica. But, the whole time I hated Goddess. I had to literally take breaks in order to finish reading it. With this read you really need to think carefully about your choices.

OMG! what a ride this book took me on.
every single book uzziah writes, i will read.
goddess is absolutely crazily wild. there were so many moments that had me laughing out loud and screaming at the screen. uzziah knows how to push boundaries with characters

This book is not for the weak please check your trigger warnings the whole time or most of the time. I’m just shaking my head because the things that I was reading is unbelievable. and had me on edge a lot of freaky sneaky, but twist and turns and definitely a page turner!

This book was wilddd. It was sexy, it was psycho, it was vindictive, it was damn good. I hate a cliffhanger, but just know I will be impatiently waiting for the next book. I have to know what’s next. I’d definitely recommend

At this point I'm not sure if I need counseling or the author does !
I absolutely loved this book it kept you guessing from the first page to the last page. And yes there is plenty of spice in this book, the kind that will make you need to take a break from reading :)
Now the main FMC was absolutely unhinged in all the wrong ways.
If you are looking for a psychological thriller with more twist and turns then a rollercoaster, this is your book.
If you love psychological thrillers Mr. Black is your author ALL of his books will have you questioning your life choices.

This was another crazy ride in Uzziah's world of Unhinged characters. Yes characters because depending on the book it might be the MMC or the FMC. In this book Goddess is an ebony beauty who is bat *hit crazy. However I will also say that she knows exactly what she wants & who she wants. She definitely is chaos in heels. Everyone else in this book are casualties of war!

The Book of Goddess was everything! The story line kept me locked in to see what was going to happen next! The twist the turns the oh my lawds lol I was so excited to read this book and it didn’t disappoint at all. The things that these characters went through will keep you wanting to read. But the end!!! Bihhhh it’s tooo much to unpack here. Quincy, Quincy, Quincy smh. Got dang Jess. This is a story of what happens when a snake enters a glass house and turns up the heat. Goddess you had wayyy too much dip on your chip mamas. This book is definitely for the grown chile. My God today.
