I am still buzzing from the adrenaline of this story, which perfectly balances high-stakes danger with deep, simmering chemistry.
Watching Cole, a hardened and tortured soul, finally find something worth fighting for beyond his own quest for revenge was incredibly moving. Lili is an absolute powerhouse, and despite being trapped by a father who saw her only as currency, she never lost her spark. Their bond felt so authentic, rooted in mutual protection and a quiet understanding that only two people familiar with life's darker side could truly share.
The found family dynamic is what really grounded this for me. Seeing these retired assassins rally together to protect those they love creates such a warm contrast to all the grit and chaos. I loved watching Cole struggle with his belief that he was too broken or too old for someone as resilient as Lili, only for him to realize she was the sanctuary he needed all along. There is plenty of heat and tension, but it never distracts from the genuine emotional healing taking place between them.
This was a solid, engaging ride that hit almost all the right notes for me. While it is fast-paced and packed with action, the moments of tenderness kept me completely invested in their journey toward a hard-won happy ending. It was a wonderful addition to the series that kept me turning pages long into the night.
I am already looking forward to seeing who finds their own perfect partner next.

This book was the perfect mix of sizzling chemistry, on the edge of your seat danger and long awaited revenge. The characters were the best. Lili was a strong FMC who, while young, has already survived a troubled childhood. When her father sells Lili to a dangerous man as the prize for a fight, hope seems fleeting until the Wolf is announced as the other fighter. Cole, the Wolf, lost his team when someone betrayed them and life has been struggling every since. An ex- assassin Cole fights while he plans his revenge against Chadwick Goodyear. But when he hears about Lili's situation, he fights to free her. When she's taken again, Cole unleashes his assassin side.
The chemistry between these two is overwhelming but Cole doesn't think he's good enough. Lili tries to show him a side he's lost. The romance and suspense in this read is a perfect blend and keeps the pages turning. I loved seeing the other characters again. Found family is always a favorite trope for me.

Not my first time reading this author, and I enjoyed this more than the last book I read from her, which I DNFed.
It was an easy, quick read, but the characters were just okay. The romance felt rushed, and the chemistry wasn’t convincing.
Overall, not a bad read, just one that didn’t leave much of an impression.

Cole's on a quest for justice when a sweet, much too innocent girl is thrown into his horrible underground world. Now he's fighting for her, to get her away from the very man he's planning on taking down. Then once that's done, he'll let Lili go, because he can't keep her, is far too broken for the light Lili shines into his world of darkness.
Lili's never been able to trust or rely on her father, but he's really stooped to a new low now - sold her to this douche Goodyear to settle his own debt. But when a savior swoops in and rescues her, she's finding one man she can finally trust. But Cole's keeping her at a distance while she just wants closer to him. She wants to be by his side while he finds her friend, and when he takes down Goodyear. Can she convince Cole she only wants him, that she sees (and loves) all of him?
No one writes romantic suspense with alpha heroes and strong heroines like Anna. Cole is her latest hero, and he is amazing! He thinks that because of his past, all the blood on his hands, makes him not good enough for the woman he rescued, but she's strong as hell, and keeps being there, showing him they're meant to be. I love this series, and Cole and Lili have only made it better. I'm not sure which of Cole's crew is next to fall, but I'm impatiently waiting for whoever it is.

Something about the opening of this one struck a bell – and that’s not JUST a pun. The scenario reminded me of any number of fantasy romances where the romance begins with the MMC (male main character) swooping in to rescue the FMC (female main character) after she’s been put up as the prize in some type of no-holds-barred and quite possibly illegal fight. Or a tournament of some sort.
Lili’s father is a former fighter and current coach for an illegal fight ring, as well as a spineless toady for the rich asshole who runs the operation. Dear old dad has “sold” his daughter to his boss because he’s scared, he owes money, and he doesn’t give a damn about anyone but himself.
Lili is intended to be the “reward” for one of the more popular fighters in this bloody ring – because he wants her and she’s said “NO” and he can’t handle that. Which is where Cole Black steps into the ring. He usually fights to quiet his demons. All the men of the Avernus have them, and this is Cole’s way of dealing with his. That he wants to protect Lili is something he can’t admit to himself.
But he just can’t let this happen. So he doesn’t. Setting off a chain of events and consequences that will save Lili from the life her father sold her into, crack the ice around Cole Black’s heart, and bring down one of the richest and dirtiest operations in Las Vegas.
Letting one more happy ever after brighten the Las Vegas nights at what was once the darkest club in town, Avernus.
Escape Rating B: I know this shouldn’t affect my review of the book, but this is a series where the covers aren’t working for me. I LOVE the Special Edition covers, but the regular covers, not so much. I think it’s that the photo covers don’t match the image in my head. The regular cover is at right, so perhaps your ogling mileage may vary.
About the book, first, this was a terrific book for a long day of travel. It’s a world I already know, populated with characters I’m already both familiar with and fond of. It was easy to slip back into the Avernus just to visit with my book friends. With a new story on top.
So, I was happy to be there, glad to go on another romantic adventure with these characters, but you probably sense that there is a ‘but’ coming. Which there is.
Because this series features a group of ‘retired’ assassins, all of the guys have a terrible case of the “I’m not worthys”, particularly that they each seem to believe they’re not worthy of, or too tainted for, the love of the somewhat younger and hopefully less jaded woman they’ve fallen for and refuse to let into their admittedly darkly-shaded gray worlds.
Their hearts are already a lost cause, it just takes each of them a while – and a threat to their would-be partner – to get with the program.
So far, I’ve enjoyed No Matter the Cost the most specifically because it’s the one story that doesn’t follow the pattern. The woman who has already stolen Sebastian Thorne’s heart is ALSO an assassin.
Howsomever, Worth the Fight returned to the original pattern, where Cole is certain he’s too old, too jaded and too tainted for Lili who isn’t half so innocent and naive as he imagines she is. And has already faced the gray of her own real and dirty world. She just needs Cole to help get her out before her situation turns entirely black.
Which, of course, he does. But I hope the next book in the series gets there by a slightly different road than both this story and Burn the World Down. We’ll find out sometime later this year.

Sometimes you pick up a romantic suspense expecting nonstop action, but the story that stays with you is the one about healing. Worth the Fight delivered exactly that. Between underground fight rings, dangerous enemies, and a relentless hunt for justice, Anna Hackett still found space to tell a deeply emotional love story about two people who had spent far too long believing they weren't worthy of happiness.
Cole completely won me over. Beneath his intimidating reputation as a former mercenary, retired assassin, and underground fighter was a man carrying years of guilt, grief, and self-doubt. Watching him slowly realize there could be more waiting for him than revenge was incredibly rewarding. His instinct to protect Lili was immediate, but seeing that protective instinct evolve into genuine love and vulnerability was what truly made his journey memorable.
Lili was equally impressive. Despite spending her life being controlled by a father who viewed her as nothing more than a bargaining chip, she never lost her compassion, resilience, or quiet strength. I loved that she wasn't portrayed as someone waiting to be rescued. Instead, she consistently fought for herself, stood her ground, and refused to let her past define her future. She saw the good in Cole long before he could see it himself, and together they helped each other heal in ways neither expected.
One of my favorite aspects of this series continues to be the found family. Watching this group of retired assassins rally around one another never gets old. Their loyalty, humor, and unwavering support provide the perfect balance to the darker moments of the story. Every time the entire group came together, I found myself smiling because they truly feel like a family rather than simply teammates.
The suspense kept me turning pages. Between the underground fighting world, the search for missing girls, and Cole's quest for revenge, there was always another layer of danger waiting around the corner. The pacing rarely slowed, but I appreciated that the quieter moments between Cole and Lili were given room to breathe, allowing their relationship to develop naturally alongside the action.
The romance itself leaned more emotional than spicy, which fit the story perfectly. My only reason for settling at four stars instead of five was that the relationship moved fairly quickly given the short timeline. Even so, their chemistry felt believable, and I found myself completely invested in their happily ever after.
If you love protective heroes, found family, action-packed romantic suspense, and emotionally wounded characters finding peace together, Worth the Fight is another fantastic addition to the Unsanctioned series.

WORTH THE FIGHT is the third instalment in Anna Hackett’s contemporary, adult UNSANCTIONED dark, erotic, romantic suspense series. This is former Delta Force soldier, assassin and tactical training businessman Cole Black, and twenty-four year old, jewelry designer and bookkeeper Lili Armstrong. WORTH THE FIGHT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Lili and Cole) WORTH THE FIGHT focuses on the protection of our story line heroine. Lili Armstrong often worked alongside her father Brock at the illegal underground fights in Las Vegas but Lili was about to become collateral damage, payment for a debt, the top prize in a winner takes all fight match. Cole Black, a former Delta Force soldier, wasn’t going to allow anyone to touch our story line heroine, and found himself in the ring fighting for her life. Declaring himself guardian and protector, Cole and Lili would dance around their attraction but Cole is determined to take down the man at the top, and he refuses to allow Lili to get caught in the cross fire.
The world building covers but a few days focusing on the protection of Lili, and the search for a number of missing girls. As Cole and the team at the Avernus Casino search for the missing and the people in charge, Lili continues to be the target of some very important people.
The relationship between Lili and Cole begins as a rescue but slowly turns into something more. Cole struggles to keep his distance believing the age gap is too large, and he is not worthy of love, while Lili is determined to prove he is worthy of everything and more. The $ex scenes are erotic and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
The secondary and supporting characters are determined and powerful, questionable and dangerous. We are introduced to businessman Chadwick Goodyear, fighter Anton Kamensky, Lili’s father Brock Armstrong, as well as the return of Nash Oakley and Georgie (Burn the World Down), casino owner and assassin Bastian Thorne and Lark (Burn the World Down), Landon, and Rafe. The requisite evil has many faces.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Lili and Cole) WORTH THE FIGHT focuses on the protection of our story line heroine. Lili Armstrong often worked alongside her father Brock at the illegal underground fights in Las Vegas but Lili was about to become collateral damage, payment for a debt, the top prize in a winner takes all fight match. Cole Black, a former Delta Force soldier, wasn’t going to allow anyone to touch our story line heroine, and found himself in the ring fighting for her life. Declaring himself guardian and protector, Cole and Lili would dance around their attraction but Cole is determined to take down the man at the top, and he refuses to allow Lili to get caught in the cross fire.
The world building covers but a few days focusing on the protection of Lili, and the search for a number of missing girls. As Cole and the team at the Avernus Casino search for the missing and the people in charge, Lili continues to be the target of some very important people.
The relationship between Lili and Cole begins as a rescue but slowly turns into something more. Cole struggles to keep his distance believing the age gap is too large, and he is not worthy of love, while Lili is determined to prove he is worthy of everything and more. The $ex scenes are erotic and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
The secondary and supporting characters are determined and powerful, questionable and dangerous. We are introduced to businessman Chadwick Goodyear, fighter Anton Kamensky, Lili’s father Brock Armstrong, as well as the return of Nash Oakley and Georgie (Burn the World Down), casino owner and assassin Bastian Thorne and Lark (Burn the World Down), Landon, and Rafe. The requisite evil has many faces.

Worth the Fight was such an entertaining romantic suspense that had me invested from the very first chapter. It had the perfect mix of action, danger, emotional moments, and romance, making it a story that was easy to get lost in. Anna Hackett did a great job creating a fast-paced plot that never felt slow, with just enough suspense to keep me wondering what would happen next.
Cole was exactly the kind of hero I love reading about. He's strong, protective, intimidating, and carries the weight of his past everywhere he goes. Beneath his rough exterior, though, he's incredibly loyal and caring, especially when it comes to Lili. I loved seeing him slowly let his guard down and realize she was worth fighting for in every sense of the word. Lili was also easy to root for. Even after everything she'd been through, she never gave up, and I admired her resilience and determination. She wasn't simply there to be rescued—she showed strength in her own way, and I enjoyed watching her confidence grow throughout the story.
The chemistry between Cole and Lili was one of my favorite parts of the book. Their relationship developed naturally despite the dangerous circumstances surrounding them. The protective hero trope was done really well, and I loved all the moments where Cole's actions spoke louder than his words. The emotional tension between them was just as compelling as the physical attraction, making their romance feel heartfelt and satisfying.
The underground fight ring setting gave the story a darker, grittier atmosphere that fit perfectly with the suspense. There was always a sense of urgency, whether the characters were trying to survive, escape, or confront their pasts. The action scenes were exciting without overshadowing the romance, and I appreciated how the emotional stakes remained just as important as the physical danger.
The only reason this wasn't a full five-star read for me was because some parts of the plot felt familiar, and I could predict a few of the twists before they happened. A couple of side characters could have been developed a little more, and I would have loved to spend even more time with Cole and Lili after everything they went through. Still, those were minor issues in an otherwise enjoyable story.
If you're looking for a romance with a protective alpha hero, high-stakes suspense, forced proximity, plenty of action, and a satisfying emotional payoff, Worth the Fight is definitely worth picking up. Cole Black is a former mercenary and retired assassin who occasionally fights in Las Vegas underground fight rings. When he finds out a woman is being offered up as a prize, he jumps in to rescue her. What he doesn't expect is to struggle to keep his hands off of her, or for it to lead to him finally getting his revenge against the one who caused the death of his friends.
This was another fantastic action packed story in this series. Cole is a protective, strong, and also tortured man who’s only goal in life is revenge against his enemy, but saving Lili makes him consider wanting more. Cole at first tries to keep his distance from Lili because he believes he isn’t good enough and that he is too old for her (12 year age gap). But he quickly changes his mind when he realizes how much danger she is in and that he could lose her. I enjoyed Cole a lot. He was a great guy even though he was an assassin and really was a great partner for Lili.
Lili is a woman who has spent her life being controlled by her father. When he sells her to pay off his debt, she finally realizes she needs to fight for what she wants. I liked Lili. She was strong, capable, sweet, and wasn’t afraid to fight back to save herself. I also really liked how accepting she was of Cole and his assassin family. She never judged them for their careers because she knows how dark life can be.
Lili and Cole have a very fast paced, instant love kind of relationship that grows quickly as they try to keep Lili safe. Like usual, I love the blend of action and relationship, and also the support of the found family in this one. We see all the guys come together to help save and protect Lili, which I love. These retired assassins are all great characters and friends and I can’t wait to see the other men fall in love.
Overall, this is another fantastic action packed romance for this series. I love the whole concept of this series with retired assassins finding family and love, and cleaning out the trash in the world while doing it.

A former assassin and mercenary who fights his demons in the ring, using underground fights as a release for all the pent-up anger he carries. After losing his team in a raid, revenge on the man who double-crossed them is what keeps him going. He cannot afford distractions, but when he sees Lili being used as a pawn, a prize in his fight, he has no choice but to win and set her free. When he realizes the same man he has been hunting is now hunting her, he will do anything to keep her safe.
And that brings us to the forced proximity, the yearning, all the feelings, and the spicy good stuff. We get to watch this rough, guarded man, who barely even speaks, slowly start to open up, share pieces of himself, and see a different future. One where he finally feels worthy, allows himself to choose something for himself, and gives himself permission to be happy.
Lili is pretty freakin’ kick ass. She has been used and abused by her father her whole life, and all it got her was being exchanged for a debt. She is scared and hurt, but she doesn’t cower. She is innocent in many ways, having been isolated by her father, but she’s resilient, resourceful, and adaptable. So when Cole offers to help, she accepts. Her saviour is something unexpected. She sees his darkness, and it doesn’t scare her. She wants more, she wants him.
I loved her heart and watching her open up, finally getting to breathe and live, especially within the warmth of Cole’s loyal group of ex-assassin besties. The found family dynamic stole my heart, watching them welcome her into their circle so naturally.
These two need each other more than they know. Seeing them find solace, safety, and care in each other was just perfect!

Cole is a former mercenary/assassin and now competes in underground fights. But he is still a man of honour and when he sees Lili in trouble he can't leave her and swoops in to save her from a fate worse than death.
Lili knew she wasn't exactly loved by her father, more tolerated. But when he essentially sells her to the highest bidder to clear his debts that final shred of love she had for him snapped. Thankfully Cole appears like a knight in shining armour and saves her. Sadly her trouble isn't over and Cole has to dig deeper into the murky wastes of the fights to try and extricate her.
I am really enjoying this series and Cole is just my latest of boyfriends from this series - each one is better than the last! Cole is set on revenge and Lili wants to find her friend and put a stop to the Human Trafficking that she's uncovered. Cole's team are there when he needs them and Lili has a few friendly faces that she can now rely on.
There is a slight age gap (12yrs) but Lili never felt that young or naïve to me, possibly because of how much she's had to put up with from dear old dad - she was so hyper independent. She had a great sense of fun and she never really blinked when Cole explained his background to her. She was also a touchstone for Cole and he looked to her for permission and guidance at some sticky times.
Cole never acted in an exploitive or coercive fashion - he just gets overtly growly and protective, lol. Fast paced storyline but with characters who although they don't know each other well, they do know of each other.
Overall, this is another fantastic action packed romance for this series. I love the whole concept of this series with retired assassins finding family and love, and cleaning out the trash in the world while doing it.

Cole was raised as a badass, and every direction he has taken since has just enhanced his toughness. Cole is a brooding character; his last mercenary mission went horribly wrong, his team was massacred, and he barely made it out alive. Cole has his eyes on the man who set them up for the kill. Cole just wants to play with the guy before he ‘ends him’. Cole blows off steam by fighting in the underground fighting rings. He’s one fighter that I would like to see fight. No acting like a fool for him. He’s all deadly business and power.
Lili Armstrong has been around fighting gyms and rings all her life. His uncaring father is a trainer and owns a gym. Lily’s value has gone up recently. It seems that one of the buffoon fighters wants her, and her dad has sold her out. She is going to be the unwilling prize for the winner of the fight. Cole has a secret crush on Lili, so he’s going to fight for her. Being a good guy, he means to help her escape from Vegas, start a new safe life…but since she considers him a sexy hottie, that never happens.
Lots are going on in this story, but the Assassins are there covering each other’s backs. Even their loves get in the action. I love that this series is set in Las Vegas. I would love to live in the ‘Assassin village’ at the Avernus Casino. The bad guy, Chadwick Goodyear, is evil and thinks everyone else is inconsequential and can be pushed around to his liking. The next of the Unsanctioned men are up and Cole has some demons. To be fair, all of the group do, so this isn't surprising. Cole's demons have him thinking he's too old and not nearly good enough for someone as sweet and innocent as Lili.
Lili disagrees. In fact, the safest she's felt in recent years is when Cole is near. So when her father (!!) basically sells her to pay off a debt and she's being offered up as a prize in a fight, seeing Cole is one of the fighters is the only thing that gives Lili hope. But again, Cole has his demons. And he refuses to force someone as sweet as Lili to stay in Vegas when she could have the world at her fingertips. EXCEPT...when bad guys want something enough (and there are some very unsavory individuals who want her), there's nowhere Lili can run to get out of their reach.
Really, the safest place for her is right beside the big guy who has the skills to keep her safe.
That's a hard truth for Cole to wrap his head around and he goes through some serious soul-searching to realize it. Actually, it just takes Lili being abducted when he's not around to drive it home. Since she seems to like him the way he likes her, eventually he has to come to terms with the fact that he is good enough and their age difference doesn't matter.

Lili has been raised by her emotionally unavailable father, who trains fighters. He basically sees her as someone he can control and whose purpose is to make his own life easier. She’s not allowed to have her own life. He does jobs and trains fighters for a narcissist rich guy who loves to decorate using tacky gold everywhere. He also loves to sexually abuse young girls. So when Lili’s father borrows money from the tacky bad guy and can’t repay it, he sells his own daughter to the loser, in exchange for the debt, so the rich guy can use her as incentive to motivate one of his fighters. Cole can’t stand the thought of her being used that way, so he offers to fight the guy, and plans to win so he can free Lily from those sick men.
Cole used to be a mercenary and an assassin, and he believes his hands are too dirty for the likes of someone as sweet as Lily. He plans to send her on her way after he helps her figure out what she wants to do and where she wants to go. It goes without saying that things don’t happen the way Cole thinks they should.
This is a fun story that is enjoyable to read. Cole has to figure out that he’s worthy of love, and Lily has to let go of her own baggage regarding her pathetic father. Cole’s friends play a supporting role in this book, as do their significant other’s. The tacky rich dude reminds me of someone else… Nevertheless, Cole and his ‘found family’ have character and class and they live by a moral code that the bad guys just don’t have. It’s a fun and worthwhile story!

He plans to send her on her way after he helps her figure out what she wants to do and where she wants to go. It goes without saying that things don’t happen the way Cole thinks they should.
This is a fun story that is enjoyable to read. Cole has to figure out that he’s worthy of love, and Lily has to let go of her own baggage regarding her pathetic father. Cole’s friends play a supporting role in this book, as do their significant other’s. The tacky rich dude reminds me of someone else… Nevertheless, Cole and his ‘found family’ have character and class and they live by a moral code that the bad guys just don’t have. It’s a fun and worthwhile story!

Worth the Fight completely pulled me in from the very first chapter and never let go. Anna Hackett knows exactly how to write a protective, broken hero that has you falling head over heels, and Cole Black is impossible not to love. He may think he's a monster because of his past, but every single thing he does proves he has a heart worth fighting for.
Lili was such an easy heroine to root for. After everything she's been through, her strength and determination really stood out. Watching the trust slowly build between her and Cole made every moment feel authentic. Their chemistry was incredible, but what I loved most was how their relationship was built on safety, loyalty, and learning to believe in someone again.
The action kept my heart racing, and I loved that the suspense never overshadowed the romance. Every fight, every chase, and every emotional moment added something meaningful to the story. Cole's fierce need to protect Lili had me smiling one minute and holding my breath the next.

Does an unsanctioned underground fight even count as a sport? I dunno.
Anyway, Cole has always felt something for Lili, but they're not exactly close. They've only crossed paths a couple of times, but when Cole hears that Lili has become the prize in an underground fight, he can't just stand by and do nothing. Despite constantly thinking he's too old and not good enough for Lili, Cole eventually gets his head out of his ass and takes action.
The instant-love element between Cole and Lili wasn't explored enough for me. Their relationship felt rushed, and at times it came across more like a savior complex than genuine chemistry. Cole's messed-up thinking about their age gap also gets Lili into trouble several times. I mean, how stupid can you be?
And then there's the ending, where Cole puts Lili up as the prize for the rematch. That felt completely unhinged to me. He literally treats her like a prize—as if she's a possession rather than a human being or, you know, someone he supposedly loves.
Overall, this book was disappointing for me. It had plenty of suspense, but the chemistry between Cole and Lili never really came through. Most of the tension seemed to come from Cole's questionable decisions and sheer stupidity rather than the romance itself.

Welcome back to the world of retired mercs and assassins. Bad guys that are really pretty good. I have to laugh every time I realize that I am actually condoning the actions of the book “hero”, who is supposed to be a bad guy based on his actions. So if you can’t look past the incongruity of bad actions vs good person…..
The pros: good writing, nonstop action, satisfaction in that the characters actually do what really shouldn’t be done, although we really might want to:) A HEA, and a generally fun read in the series.
The cons: Another TSTL move by the heroine that somehow ends up ok in the long run, a somewhat cliched bad guy (…you can’t fight me, I’m powerful and have money) Um, ok, I’m scared.
But Worth The Fight (Unsanctioned Bk 3) is good. An uncomplicated read with good writing and lots of satisfaction. I love it when characters can do things that we know we shouldn’t do, get away with it, and somehow still end up end up with a HEA and coming away with a sense of moral conscious. I know my review is vague, but I’m taking a page out of our hero’s book and just going with it.

Plenty of action, hijinks, and indeed a few spicy scenes ensue as Cole finally falls for his lady.
This is a quick read for romantic suspense/action romance fans, as it falls on the shorter length end of Anna’s books. That means that it’s easily read in one sitting, or in quick snatches here and there. Timing wise, this is definitely the perfect beach read sure to keep you entertained while you toast, or while you hide from the heat in the A/C!

Another Great story
Oh my goodness, you guys! I just had to tell you about Cole’s story—seriously, it was amazing! He’s such a character, like, totally caught up in this whirlwind of emotions after losing someone but still has this crazy fiery spark to go after his friends’ enemies. And get this, he’s after a villain that he is totally obsessed with—so intense! But wait, it gets better—this same villain has his eyes on and is also after Lili, but now, she has this incredible crew of legendary assassins backing her up, so she’s not alone at all. The action scenes? Oh wow, they’re nonstop, like, turbocharged adrenaline rushes! I couldn’t put the book down for anything—so gripping and exciting. And the romance? Oh my gosh, it’s super steamy and perfectly woven into all the chaos—so good! And, the characters are just phenomenal—I loved all of them to bits! And I HAVE to tell you, the banter between Lark and Bastian? Even more ridiculous and hilarious than ever —seriously, I was laughing out loud! I’m already counting down the days until the next book—I’m that hooked!

But our heroes don't hesitate to step in and rescue those who need it, before disposing of the trash, making the world a safer place.
Cole definitely thinks Lili can do better than him, but Lili knows better! And I love seeing her prove it to him.
