“Downfall” is one of my favorite summer reads. Eric P. Bishop put a solid must-read foundation on the long running, The Body Man series. The fourth edition of the series continues with protagonist, Nick Jordan, but includes the involvement of all past members of this special position. Bishop always brings characters alive with his attention to the details of personal history. In this volume, he gives insight into the position from the perspective of previous Body Men. In addition, there’s a deep dive into their lives after the White House. I can see future stories coming from the retirees.
“Downfall” continues Bishop’s trait for global travel. He spared no expense for the research. Not only does he cover small community highlights and must-see locations but inserts the local attitudes and cultural flavor.
Always a brilliant storyteller, Bishop is at his exceptional best with “Downfall.”
Eric P. Bishop’s concept of the Bodyman is used to perfect effect to create a book only he could write. The Bodyman’s job is to protect the office of the president of the US, and quietly disappear into retirement never to be heard from again. Now, everyone who’s been a Bodyman since the Kennedy administration is targeted for kidnapping or worse.
It’s an easy read that begs you to keep turning the pages to discover what’s going on and why. Bishop teases the audience with answers up until the very end.
If you are looking for a political thriller with high energy and a unique premise, Downfall is the perfect book for you.
DOWNFALL is the fourth book in THE BODY MAN SERIES by Eric P. Bishop, and—like its predecessors—DOWNFALL delivers. I enjoyed the storyline, which was different than the previous books, but very effective in providing plenty of intrigue. New characters, both protagonists and antagonists, add to the intrigue. You never do know who to trust. Highly readable and entertaining. Definitely worth the read!!
Downfall, book four in The Body Man series, needs to be on everybody’s must read list. More globe trotting action, intrigue and suspense that Eric is known for makes for one adrenaline filled story. As far as story and writing goes, this is the best Body Man yet!!!
The Body Man role protects the secrets of the President of the United States. When former Body Men begin disappearing, Nick Jordan uncovers a list on the dead body of a Russian crime boss — one that puts every keeper of the office's darkest secrets in the crosshairs.
Bishop strikes gold once again. Another riveting addition to the Body Man series. Former Body Men are bring hunted and killed and Nick the current holder of the title, is all about finding out who and why. Suspense filled with non stop action, familiar characters and intriguing DC details and side stories. Great read.
Another outstanding adventure in this series, the best one to date, hands down. The plot will keep you guessing, and the characters…outstanding, so many interesting players all with their role to play. Strap in for this ride!
Downfall is a great next step in the rich, deep world Bishop has created in The Body Man series. The. Characters are vibrant, the plot is tight, pace is fast, and the action doesn’t quit. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
This a fun, fast paced, well written entry to the genre. When I picked this up I couldn't put it down. I've loved every entry in Bishop's THE BODY MAN series, and this one is no different. Put this on your must read list.
Eric P. Bishop, have you ever heard of him? If not, now is the time to pay attention. He has a brand new book in the series about the Body Man. The Body Man is a secret service agent that is responsible for protectioning the office of the president, not the person, the office. Bishop has a great backstory to how he came up with this character and in doing so he has carved himself a niche in the thriller verse that is rather unique. Downfall is the title of this fourth adventure and someone is targeting ex Body Men. Why? Well the book is soon available for you all to read and enjoy, I certainly did. If you like fast paced thrillers with action and a good plot. Combine that with a little humor and some great characters then you are all set. I have been along since book one and I can tell you Bishop sure can tell a tale. Don't miss his other books when you are at your book dealer. I must thank the author for supplying me with this advance copy and I for one can't wait for the next adventure.
